English Translation: Be careful how you go, o my son... Let’s go out from this darkness... I feel something unknown Growing in my heart, Fraught with sad premonition and suspicion. How the shade falls from heaven More and more obscure ! On such another night as this They stabbed to death Duncan, my lord. A thousand nightmares Are foretelling me misfortune, And are oppressing my mind With ghosts and dread.
It's been awesome hearing your voice grow over the years. This is truly a professional sound and look, and I can hear the power your voice has gained over the years of training. I've hardly even started my time in opera (just starting to look at Grad schools!) and it's inspiring to see someone who got me into it grow so much.
It does not matter if you can understand the language or words....It puts you in a whole different place and I find myself creating a story to go along with the music.
What you posted was very good. Interpreting on how you feel etc. I definitely do that. In opera, there’s always that dichotomy between life and death and the worst heartache or betrayal or whatever. Do you. Love that
Awesome Peter..never would have realised you were who you are until I listened to your podcaste with Geoff Castellucci. Thankyou for both performances and good luck with your career....merry Christmas from Western Australia 🎅🦘🦘🦘🦘😘
You have such a beautiful richness and control to your voice Peter as well as a very large range, something us Tenors wish we had. Great open vowels as well to really project those notes with a strong but not over-pronounced vibrato.
So beautiful and so majestic live voice ❤️ Peter, your voice without a microphone dark and so warm, like chocolate knits in mouth😮😅 P.S. Today, August 5, I want to wish you a Happy Birthday, Peter 🎉🎉🎉 Love your content! Have a good day 💖
I knew you were a powerhouse, Peter, but this is INSANE! You should do a full album of opera songs sometime, just for the enjoyment of your fanbase as well as those who have never heard opera before.
I enjoy seeing this side of the coin! Anyone (to some extent) can break down music, but this gives authenticity to your reaction and analysis! Thanks for sharing!
Very musical and you are right on the spot regarding to this precise style, which needs to be musical or lyrical (I am not sure, English is not my mother tongue), and felt without exaggeration. It is my first time ever earing you, and I am quite impressed with your rich although soft timber. You are still a young singer and this voice of yours will get richer still with time. Bravo!
BRAVO! Do they have full operas on TH-cam? Need to look into this. I like Verdi (aka Joe Green 😂) operas. Lovely job, and I think you should break it down for all those new to Opera folks you have on the channel. I think so many people have no understanding of how hard and how much work goes into this form of singing. Thank you for sharing your gifts 💜
Damn... how did I miss this upload? This is amazing... I really like your very warm and deep and STRONG voice...! - Greetings from Germany, your ("totally not envious" abt how low you can sing 🤣) Tenor singer and new subscriber Robin ^_^
YESSS, I'm so glad to see another Peter opera video! What a powerful piece, and masterfully performed, sir! Would you consider posting the translation as you understand it, so we can all fully appreciate this art? (Or when you're performing, are you thinking more in terms of holistic meaning rather than line-by-line translation?) SO much comes across in your voice and movement--I was moved even without knowing a thing about the song--but I did look up the translation, and though it was hard to find a good one of the whole thing, I found that even having *some* idea of what it's about really does make for a richer experience. (And I just love the translated title "O, How the Darkness Falls From Heaven.")
Fantastic! I definitely think word-by-word as well as overall message/feeling/atmosphere. I can certainly add the translation to the description or pinned comment before sharing publicly
@PeterBarber Please react to Brazilian singer Gabriel Henrique on America's Got Talent who performed this Tuesday and is already viral on the Internet. Gabriel has one of the most incredible male voices in the world. Thank you very much and hugs from Brazil.
Ti auguro di studiare tantissimo e di arrivare dove vuoi. Perché non fai proprio delle recensioni sulle opere, magari mensili. Il tuo punto di vista sarebbe interessante fornito da una persona giovane, quale sei tu.
I could listed to you sing all day! Amazing Peter 🔥 I’d love to hear you react to some Tori Kelly, her new rnb single is and it’s out so good. She did a live performance of it which is incredible. Here’s the link! th-cam.com/video/wSYgRwiZgx0/w-d-xo.html
Well done. The hair and attire didn't fit with my perception of you. Oh, the woes of having to appear in one's professional mode. I like the casual Peter much more. The singing was great though!

Woo! Beautiful.
Amazing performance! I loved every second of it!
Amazing, Peter. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Since following you, I do believe this is the first time I’ve actually heard you sing in your operatic voice (bar the stairwell). Beautiful.
I enjoy seeing this side of the coin! Anyone (to some extent) can break down music, but this gives authenticity to your reaction and analysis! Thanks for sharing!
Bravo! What a voice and phrasing!
Very, very well done, Peter!
Awesome!
Bravo!
Wow, Peter! That was incredible, as always ❤
I'd never heard you sing Opera before; just the Bass Gang stuff (which is great, don't get me wrong). This was really cool. I love Macbeth.
I've never cared about the lyrics in classical music. The beauty is in how it is sung and you do a fantastic job sir!

They certainly do! But the highest quality ones are from paid services like Met On-Demand of Medici TV
Это потрясающее исполнение, браво маэстро! Спасибо за удовольствие и усладу для нашего слуха.

You just keep getting better. As you talked with Glenn, staying in your lane and being patient is paying off!

You should sing a Therion cover. 👍
Gorgeous Voice💖
Getting better and better with each performance! What was that at 3:14?
