I absolutely love this travel system. thanks to your review I decided to get it and so far I absolutely love it my baby is 1 month we went on vacation to Mexico already and everyone kept asking where we got her stroller. I definitely recommend this travel system it's great and looks high end without paying tons

Great review :) Firstly, Car seat covers are perfectly fine, I use them all the time and the mattress in the stroller is also fine, you are not leaving the stroller unattended with the baby in it so I don't see that as an issue. With the car seats, Graco is a fantastic brand and they actually have infant car seats that accommodate your baby up to 40 lbs or your average sized 2 year old. That is called the Click Connect 40 and will also connect directly to your stroller frame. I have one in the original Mena pattern and the head support moves up like the one in your Britax car seat so you don't have to rethread the harness. The Click Connect 35 LX does the same with the adjustable head support. Graco also have other car seats that are rear and forward facing that hold your child from 4 to110 lbs. I also have the Graco Size4Me 70 which my 11 year old larger than average little sister fits into. Or there is the Graco Nautilus, Argos or the newly released 4Ever car seat. You can also purchase replacement covers at any time from gracobaby.com I recently purchased a purple girl cover in the Nyssa fashion for my size4me which is currently a blue pattern :)

Yeah if you have a graco product already and you want a new pattern without buying a whole new product or if you just need to replace something on your current product, you can check the replacement section on their website you will need to enter the model # and maybe the manufactured date.. Otherwise you can check out what is available for instance I knew I liked my size4me but I wanted a girl pattern, I didn't want to spend another $180 so I went online and looked for all the size4me seats they had and I decided which one I liked, then instead of going out to buy another one I contacted graco in the contact us section and I asked them if it was possible to get a replacement cover in the Nyssa pattern for my size4me car seat. I entered the details of my current seat and within 24 hours I had a reply with a link to how I can purchase new covers in that pattern :) It's super easy and alot cheaper! I can purchase an entire replacement cover for around $60 brand new! But just to let you know, graco doesn't always have all its available patterns on its website. I quite often look on babies r us and other store websites for graco products to see if there are any more options then I contact them :)

The reason the cover you used on your infant bucket seat is considered unsafe is because it doesn't have any flame retardant in it which is required of all car seats in case there is a fire involved with your accident. This creates a little bit more time for you to get your munchkin out of the car before her seat totally goes up. Minky fabric which is what your after market cover is made out of is highly flammable and will go up in flame as soon as your car seat even catches a flame and then your child is more than likely lost to the accident. I would hate to see anything happen to that precious little girl of yours. Also, there are plenty of things on the market that aren't safe, alcohol and cigarettes are just two examples of such items. The manufacturer will void your seats warranty for use of after market products in an accident or other usual use. Then when you need them or insurance to replace the seat they don't have to because your warranty has been voided, and seats are expensive to replace on a dime if you can't have insurance or the manufacturer replace said items.
thank you both for your comments and at the time of posting this did not know about the carseat cover but after posting this a while back now I'm very aware that its not safe and can't believe i didn't do homework on it... i didn't think anything was wrong with it but now know of the fire safetys on it and all.. thank you for the comments so others can also read and be aware too.. i will be making a note in my video bio to let others know too :)

The mattress pad is a great idea! So long as she is facing you and you're watching her, she's fine.
Great review on the stroller, although you did miss one of the ways to use it. You can use the carrier on the frame, as you had shown, but also with the stroller seat. I also have one and it's the best stroller ever. This is a luxury stroller with out the luxury price tag!
You're really advised to not use anything that did not come with the carrier, unless it's an accessory from the company itself. However, since she is no longer using the carrier- it doesn't really matter anymore.
I really wish that they would make a double modes stroller. :)

definitely a great stroller i have it and its really comfortable for my daughter such as for me too...if i would have know about this stroller b4 when i had my 1st daughter i would have use it twice...my other daughter loves the stroller as well...recommend it

Hi Lexie loves Penelope... I have a question, I have the same stroller/car seat and I love the way you incorporated the mattress pad with the stroller. How were you able to secure the baby in ? Like did you use a seat belt to secure the baby ? I had a rough time with my 2month old yesterday when I took him out in the stroller. Your response would be very valuable. Thanks
hi there sorry for the very late response.. while using the matrices pad i never had her buckled.. i used it for a very short period of time until she was able to roll over on her own which i then started using the straps after that :)

You need to add a disclaimer about using aftermarket products with your car seat, using anything that did not come with your car seat voids the warranty, and the minky covers from that company are highly flammable and if you were in an accident your baby would not have a chance to survive

I just put the one that was next to the stroller at babies r us on my registry... but im sure if you look it up in google it might tell you? or if i were you i would go to babies r us and go check it out there and read the little paper they have under the carseat to see if it tells you if it can go with the stroller or ask someone there because yeah you diffidently want to make sure it fits before you buy it for sure...sorry i couldnt answer your question:,(

this is an excellent review. i love this video, but the link isn't working for the stroller. Hi, quick question, can you use the Britax car seat with Graco stroller? Have you tried connecting it?
no the britax and grace are both different brands so no they don't connect.. plus the britax is a toddler seat and the other one is an infant one.. but yea so just the graco stroller and graco click connect carseat connect to eachother :)
Now that your daughter is bigger is the stroller making a squeaky sound cuz I've seen reviews saying once the child gets heavier it starts to squeak. I'm really interested in this stroller and want to get it but my daughter is 35 pounds and I don't want it squeaking. Thanks!!
Oh wow weird? No haven't experienced any squeaky noises.... I love the stroller to this day.. my daughters 32 pounds and even when we would go on trips to cali we would pack the stroller with all of our stuff to ride from the car to the hotel room and never heard the squeaky noise.. mmmmm weird...

Saba Q to me its pretty light weight and easy for me to carry from the house to the car... so weight wise i think its great! Do you live next to a babies r us? they have them there thats where i got mine and u can maybe go see it and pick it up... and as far as fitting in your car goes my grandma has a hyundai similar to yours (size wise) and it fits perfect with no problem :)
Do you still like and recommend this stroller? This Graco has all the features I want. I don’t want use car seat all the time with my newborn so having a stroller that fully reclines and face me is a big deal and of course all these without costing an arm and a leg. My concern is about size, is somewhat bulky? Does your baby(now toddler) still fits comfortably in it?
Do you know if you have to take the stroller frame out in order to put the carseat in, or can u have them both in?
Amanda DeRosa You can put the car seat in with just the frame...or you can snap it in with the toddler seat in place and forward facing w/ tray.

I am not trying to sound rude but, you need to research some car seat and stroller safety. Those covers are not safe and neither is that mattress pad! I also highly doubt your baby at 4 months outgrew that type of infant seat, it may be an adjustment issues and her legs can hang over the shell, it's more height and weight "which I doubt she is over". Also, I know that Britax seat has a higher weight limit then 40llbs "that is for rear facing only" it can forward face for up to 65lbs or some even 70lbs "depending on model". So you may get more use out of each car seat then you think.:)
Thanks for you comment I appreciate you letting me know on the points I missed out on.. sometimes making and editing videos with a baby is hard and I try to get as much info on the stroller and carseat as I can with what I know all combined into the video but I guess I forgot somethings like the fact that you can turn the carseat around and stuff.. but I guess because I'm still rear facing my daughter I forgot to add that in.. oppsie.. but the mattress pad being an issue in my stroller I really don't see why it would be a safely issue at all? and the cover I will have to look more into because I haven't found anything wrong with the one I use? and yeah why would I waste money on a whole other carseat if I thought she still fit in her old carseat? I took my car to a local safety carseat specialist class where they make sure the seat is properly installed and they told me to look into a new carseat because of the way her legs were and the way the carseat belt was on her shoulders wasn't safe? They were the ones who told me she out grew it.
Plus another thing about the carseat cover.. why would they be able sell a product if it was unsafe to use ? I really just bout it because its super cute and easy to throw in the washer when its dirty but yeah just curious on your thoughts with that??
I understand where you are coming from I will not debate your car seat use it may have to do with the specific model and how it effects your child's build but, most people use them safely for much longer. I was just trying to give you an option to look into. But if a car seat tech said so, then do what they say! The pad use has to do with a lot of safety concerns with a soft mattress type pad under a young child that has come out in research over the years, if it did not come with the product it has not been safety tested for suffocation hazards, etc. Ever here infants should sleep on a firm mattress, without extra fluffy blankets, pillows, stuffed animals? It's the same concept with the mattress being used in a stroller where it has not been safety tested, plus your child is not strapped into the stroller, I know she's too little to roll around, etc but you never know, you could hit a bad curb, the stroller could tip you never know! The use of a cover for a car seat many manufactures don't approve of after market products because they don't know how they will interact in an event of a crash, due to not being crash tested with the product. Which makes them unsure if this could effect safety of the seat to not perform as it should (such as straps not resting properly on the child, etc).I would look into your specific model to see how the company stands on after market products. I am sorry I was not trying to make you upset I was just making it known to check up on the safety of products use with other products not made by the same companies.
kardancer1 as far as the mattress pad under her she doesnt sleep in her stroller ever..I put it in there because the straps dont fit her just yet and its more comfortable for her when we go to the store.. She doesnt roll around either in there... shes big.. just not big enough for the straps.. if she was small still and rolling around i would have her in the carseat that connects to it rather than rolling around in there.. I may not be perfect and i get that there are a ton of safety tests and whatever.. but I am not a mom that doesnt pay attention or doesnt care about my daughters safety..because i do..but i know what im doing and i think its up to me to decide what im doing for my daughter is right or wrong.. i get your trying to tell me what im doing wrong or whatever but to be completely honest if i have a question or am unsure about something i will ask or figure it out, but for you to go out of your way to write this whole long thing about what im doing wrong im not interested in hearing.. I have never once left my daughter with a family member or a friend so i can go out anywhere! not because i dont trust them but because i know my daughter the best and im to afraid to leave her with anyone out of my eyesight.. she is almost 8 months old and i have never even let her father watch her while i nap or take a shower or whatever! so i think that can kind of give u an idea of what kind of mom i am.. like i said i may not be perfect but i am a damn good mom and i do whats best for her.. so i would really appreciate if you would just stop going on and on about what i should or shouldnt do.
Sorry to offend you but if you post information about your life and someone sees a possible safety issue they are going to mention it, not to bother you or to put you down but because they care about a child's safety not that your doing wrong on purpose it's just no one is perfect or can't know everything and if people see a way that their could be a safety hazard they are going to mention it when you post your life online.

I had bought a cradle barley used from one of my moms friends daughters and she gave me that in a package kinda random? but yeah so i dont know :,( I'm sorry girl!! Stacy Coria the pad was actually wasn't meant for the stroller but we used it in it anyway and it fit perfect! i know babies r us sells a ton of small pads in different shapes and sizes so i would check there for that and then as far as cleaning it goes.. i clean it with clorox wipes and use a wet wash cloth for the cushion parts..and just found out that the front wheels pop off so it was nice to scrub them in the sink! hahah i was seriously so happy when i was cleaning it a few months back and noticed they came off hahah!
Thanks and i have the same one but baby blue and i got my husband to take it a part and put it in the washer and it worked ...it was to hard for me to scrub lol

i actually don't use any other stroller besides this one... my mom and grandma have always said i should get an umbrella stroller just to have but i always have my diaper bag and a million things so its nice to put that stuff in the storage area of this stroller.. never liked umbrella strollers for that reason

What do you mean you would use BOTH the convertible car seat AND the infant seat again? You can only use one seat at a time...
.....lol. She means if she had to do it over she would still have purchased the infant seat to use the first few months, and then the convertible. Or if she has another child she'd do the same thing & buy both.

i understand that and would never but my child in a situation that i would think is unsafe. I'm very aware of her safety and its not like i was putting a matrices pad down in a carseat and not buckling her up. i would put it down while going for walks and she was completely fine... if i was going for walks that had major hills or stairs or anything that she could possible roll around in unsafely while being pushed in a stroller i would of not put the matrices pad down but in my situation i was very aware of what i was doing and she was completely safe while going for light strolls :) thanks for your concern

im actually not sure! i have a ton for some reason and this one was one that had bought from one of my moms friends daughters, I had bought a cradle barley used and she gave me that in a package kinda random? but yeah so i dont know :,( I'm sorry girl!! It fits perfect tho.. and i not really to sure where else you can find one like it? i dont think babies r us has smaller ones? mmm but i would check...sorry!!

bagurn don't use one. Buckle your baby in (like you are supposed to) and then put blankets around the baby and the seatbelts
online babies are us said it went from $249.99 to $204.99. Will this car seat not work with a car older than 2003?
Katy Charles oh wow thats an awesome deal! but yes it still will work you just can't use the latches... its like that with any carseat that has latches... any car thats older than 2003 won't have it installed so you'll just have to use the seatbelt to buckle it

The carseat cover is completely unsafe and never recommended. It was also void your carseat warranty in addition to being unsafe.

really good review! good job! Adorable baby! Congratulations. and thank you for the mattress pad suggestion, very smart! I did the same thing when i watched your video with the mattress pad. People need to shut the hell up, with their opinions and unwanted criticism. . Geez i think every mom has their own technique with their baby.
I for one have really soft bumper in my crib since my daughter kicks all around her crib, and oh geez don't beat me with a stick i even cover her with a blanket and let her sleep on the side. i must be a bad mom, because i don't do what some suggest. every baby is different, tiny little humans all different so why would they all need the same approach ?!
oh and yes baby companies recall items if they are considered unsafe! holy felafel? if something was unsafe they would not sell it.
and i personally also love the car seat canopy.

the car eat cover isn't safe because its not fire proof i learned
Angela Santiago It's because when they do the safety testing on the car seat the cover is not part of the testing unless it came with the seat. You can google the latest safety advice for more info.
