Minardi are the true legends. They were around for so long just doing their own thing. Winning this chart. Developing some great drivers in the process. And in the end after seasons at the end of the grid transforming into solid and more and more succesfull Torro Rosso and Alpha Tauri :)
With Minardi being an also-ran team for so long, how in the world did they attract sponsors to bankroll the team for the seasons? And doing it for many seasons at that.
@@bloqk16 well they were always in the race...the race is televised, the sponsors knew they would get some screen time... the sponsorship deals were of course smaller, but its still a good deal

Crazy to see that except that 1961 Dutch GP there wasn't a single GP in the 20th century that was finished without DNF's. Most driver deaths also happened then. It really shows just how reliability was overlooked back then and the technology simply wasn't there. These days we have cars that are pretty damn fast and as safe as a 300km/h land jet can possibly be.
It's because he drove the naturally aspirated Tyrrells, which were not only extremely slow but also extremely reliable, so he didn't even get DNFs to put him out of his misery.
Jenson Button has the dubious distinction of being the only modern era world champion (post 1980) on the list. Brabham raced in the 1960s (fewer races, more DNFs). Nikita Crashandspin made the list in one year.
@@reptongeek looking at Wikipedia I actually count 11 last places. Nevertheless he dnfd 5 times and dns 1 time. So 11 out of 15 Last places we're he didnt dnf.. I don't know about Brabham, but Button had his fair share of shit cars during his career for sure, from the 2001 Benetton to the 2007/08 Earth Dreams Honda to the 2015/16 McLaren-Honda. And he was known for very rarely making driving mistakes, so he would always bring them to the finish line if they didn't break down.
HRT's presence is just simply amazing, three full years in F1 with >50% of dead last finishes (30 out of 58 races). GP2 engine and aerodynamics but crazy reliability
I still remember their debut race for every season. 2010: they do the shake down in FP1 because the car only got ready a few days earlier, so slow they single handedly induce the FIA to reinstate the 107% rule 2011: they shed pieces of carbon fiber along the track in Q1, double DNQ 2012: you would expect they got better and so they did, they got a double DNQ without dropping pieces of the car everywhere
I followed F1 racing back when Cooper competed. It was sad to see a one-time top-tiered F1 race car/team go upside down in a decade's time. Where their cars by the late 1960s looked like dinosaurs when compared to the other teams' entries designs.
Could you make a video on amount of points scored for a team by each driver that’s driven for them? (using 1 points system for all of them to keep it fair)
Can we have a moment of silence for Fishykeller being at the top of the list. Also Eddie Cheever for featuring prominently in this list, the DNF list and the list of most races without a win.
Minardi was succesfull in so many ways that finishing last in many races wasnt their problem... for them the journey itself was the goal. And it was a succesfull journey, they helped to develop many future F1 legends and in the end transformed into succesfull Torro Rosso / Alpha Tauri team. The Faenza squad lives :)
Lance Stroll now up to 13 after the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and he will be hoping that he doesn’t finish last a few more times before he ends up breaking Fisichella’s unwanted record.
Williams will be first this year HRT was the most successful, accomplished only in 3 years. Ferrari lmao. They never had an awful year with last place but they are on F1 for so long, they are on the list

Finally, a list that Mazepin appears on.

In only one season
Mazespin
Did not expect the 3 most successful teams in F1 history to all be in the top 5 here
Sad He lost his seat! He could have reached the top in this list!
Love how Mazepin got on the list with a single season
Williams' quick increase during the last years is simply painful
That also broke my heart 💔

So unfair that they had taken away the possibility of Mazepin from widely leading this ranking for many decades
This shows Button has really seen both sides to F1 - as a top 10 last placer and a world champ.

Curious how De Cesaris in not part of this list. He either failed to finish or did not that bad... ok he mainly failed to finish 😀
Exactly, you need to finish some races to get on that list 😂
De Cesaris is the definition of hit or miss. Either good or DNF. So this is really not a list for him lol

Three words to explain that phenomenon: Earth Dreams Honda.
His stints at Benetton-Renault in 2001 and McLaren-Honda in 2015/16 didn't help either.
Sad to see gigakubica with all these last places, was a beast in 2006-10
Amazing how Mazepin snuck into the top of an all time list in just 1 year.
I think everyone expected minardi to be the team lol
Yeah, to be honest I was not expecting them to be that far ahead 😅
Mad respect to them for not giving up tho.
