    Wow!! Your technique is really great. I found your channel, because I was looking for ways to make XPS look like cement. I am a bonsai hobbyist, and I don’t like paying $200.00 for a pot/planter, so, I make it of XPS and the faux finish it, or paint it. Thank you for posting your videos, they are very helpful, and also spark ideas as well.

      @@vascotoys oh, for texturing, I forgot to mention. For creating a random “pitting”. I use finger nail polish remover. Put it in a spray bottle, and mist it over the XPS, then if you want a crevasse, then set the nozzle to stream, and spray a line, and the fingernail polish remover will of course be more liquid in a small area so it will eat into the XPS, and it gives a natural look to a rock formation.

    Great video. What brushes did you use in this video

    • @vascotoys
      @vascotoys  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Nando! I have an Amazon affiliate link in the video description for some of my paint brushes, but I'm not really picky when it comes to the types of brushes I use. I just use whatever I can get that is cheap. Not high quality brushes.

    Is the platform stable enough? What happens if someone were to let’s say hypothetically puncture the surface of your sidewalk with a metal object…. Would it be too hard to puncture into the foam? Or would it slide right in with ease?

    • @vascotoys
      @vascotoys  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's stable for sure. But XPS foam can be punctured or cut with metal objects.

    i hope theres a ration of how many water, and black paint to use if you want a wash

    • @vascotoys
      @vascotoys  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! I don't have an exact backwash ratio. I go off of feel starting with a more watered down mixture first and adding paint as needed. That way I don't ruin my diorama with a thick wash.
