one thing is really appreciable about ubisoft. although they abandoned prince of persia on consoles and focused on assassin's creed. the combat of assassin's creed have changed the most. from brotherhood to 3 and 4, from there to unity and syndicate.
Cool!! why hasn't there been a proper skill system in these games before? All they need now is stealing the dynamic enemy system from shadow of Mordor, and they have a solid game that is always interesting. Just having territories constantly in danger, unless u upgrade them, so that u always keep having a battle with the templars

AC3, the coronation of a new emperor, Connor, and with that, the start of the degeneration of the AC Empir Ac4, a resurgency led by a brash and ruthless leader named Edward Kenway. Edward Kenway was assassinated, leaving the AC Empire vulernable. AC5, a major defeat to the Empire. Rapidaly gaining momentum to the Empire's decline. AC6, the decline is lengthened, but still the empire heads downward. While off the shores of this tragic tale, there lies a hope for the AC Empire; a forgotten heir to the AC Empire. Assassin's Creed: Rising Sun.

I got the game around mid night when it first came out. I played it for about 10-11 hours now and boy, this is the game that might revive the AC series. By adding the new gadgets and carriages, they made it a great game already. Gang fights are probably my favorite thing to do mission wise. Plus it's fees they added a skill tree.
Ok this is going to be a bit of a lengthy comment and is probably better suited for the Ubisoft forums, but I hope that some of you will take the time to read this as I feel its necessary to be shared amongst all fans of the series, as well as gamers in general. In response to the microtransactions, yes it really sucks that a game company as well known, respected and (importantly) rich as Ubisoft still finds ways to make us pay, even after purchase of the game. In Unity it was unforgivable as the game itself was still to a large degree incomplete and we saw the result of this in the free addition of the Dead Kings DLC as a means to apologise to the players (good initiative Ubisoft but done for the completely wrong reasons, take a leaf out of CD Projekt Red's book). From what I've heard about Syndicate, the game is essentially a working version of Unity, which I have no gripes with as I actually saw a lot of potential in the game and really wanted to like it despite all its flaws. IF that is indeed the case and they have managed to fix the game, I have no issue with them introducing microtransactions, ONLY AS LONG AS CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE GAME ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO THIS FORM OF PURCHASE. As long as I can still collect all the various in game weapons and armour pieces at my own leisure through exploration or grinding why should it bother me if someone else who has the money, and is willing to spend it, does so? Rather than people complaining about the fact that Ubisoft is asking for more money, my issue with the system is that it discourages exploration in a clearly vibrant and lively gameworld that a dedicated team has spent years to create. I personally believe that this system is hurting Ubisoft a lot more than it does the gamer as through the introduction of such a system we, as gamers, feel less inclined to revisit the game in the long run. To explain this sentiment: any weapon or item unlocks in the game becomes a lot less about a personal sense of achievement, about the time spent gathering the necessary materials, searching for the right tomb, hunting for the best in game market dealers and only barely surviving that last fight. The system reminds me of going to a McDonalds to buy a BigMac and throwing away the wrapping by the time I've left the store 5 minutes later. Despite the hours I spent levelling up Arno and buying the best possible gear with my in game earnings, I knew that somewhere out there was a 10 year old that had the exact same items as me 5 minutes into starting the game and this made the entire progression system feel almost pointless and a waste of my time. As such I believe Ubisoft only stands to lose its fanbase. On the other hand though I think that we as gamers tend to forget that the only reasons that these systems are in place is because a substantial amount of us are clearly still willing to purchase items through such means, otherwise the system would no longer exist. If we want such concepts to fall we need to stop supporting them. In any case, what is most important to me is a well thought out narrative, a fun game-world to explore and interesting protagonists as well as antagonists (an often neglected feature) that I will remember long after having finished the game *Assassins Creed 2 cough cough* On all accounts it seems that Ubisoft has finally realized that this is the direction they need to be taking and for this I applaud them. I am by no means a fan of the yearly release model, despite owning every game in the series (hypocrite), and I really wish that they would wait 2 or maybe 3 years before releasing the next Assassins Creed title so that they can really innovate and revitalize the series. It is refreshing though to see them care about the characters and story once more, which is the sole reason I have been such a dedicated Ubisoft fan since the release of Splinter Cell, Far Cry and The Prince of Persia, despite their recent slew of bad and unfinished games. I can only hope that this focus on narrative driven experiences remains a positive trend in their future releases and will insure, at least in my part, that I remain a loyal Ubisoft megafan for many years to come :)
Batman is not having part in the game. Rope launcher is a common tool. If some other games have guns should ubisoft be called robbers? Damn people just let your brain accept that ACsyndicate is an perfect game. If you play you'll notice the effort made for keeping fans of franchise close and happy again. I am a fan, and will buy every single episode realised.
I also miss the mysteries and magic of the old ac games. there are so many conspiracy theories, and origin stories floating about.... enough to bring them back stronger than ever in the next AC. remaster your thought process, and the game.
You could easily say shadow of mordor took the skill tree from dishonored, and then say dishonored took it from skyrim etc,. Skill trees are pretty common in gaming.
Fierce Zero It feels like the child of Unity and Black Flag. but now they have combos and a chain meter and a good way of doing multi kills that requires skill (bring all enemies near death and you can cause a cinematic combo
Fierce Zero For the most part they do attack 1 at a time but it is literally 1 second reaction between attacks. If you got ganked by 5 people all at the same time and countering all of them isn't possible then the game would be unplayable as Jacob and would kinda ruin the idea of being a brawler. Although them all attacking at once would be accurate would you really want that if you enjoy fighting? Funniest thing I noticed was the fourth wall break when I was in the fight club and someone yelled "Stop attacking him one at at time!"

Assassin's Creed needs a break urgently. You need to stop annual releases and return after two or three years of recess. Also, this series needs to recover its roots. The original essence is losing year by year, especially since AC3. I think the most of us miss the Creed, misteries, conspiracies, philosophy and the dark environment from the first four ACs (Altair+Ezio+Desmond saga). Please, think of the old fans! you have to recover the magic of the original AC before it's too late :(
ik this comment is old but it called to me. U say go back to biannual releases, but literally every game after ac2 was yearly. U also say that the game should return to it's roots. ik this comment is old but it called to me. U say go back to biannual releases, but literally every game after ac2 was yearly. U also say that the game should return to it's roots. By this I assume u mean ac2, as ac1 introduced us to the series, but it is not that good of a game, but I digress. How would a series such as ac, which is based upon innovation go back in time to when content was much more limited. As insightful as ur comment was, it also is shrouded in absurdity to me
