Years ago I responded to a 911 call at the Bulova Watch facility in Astoria Queens. Once the "emergency" wrapped up and the patient was set to right, the facility manager gave me a short tour of the work floor where they did repairs and assembly. Workmen under bright lights were placing gears and tiny springs in casings while looking through lupes and magnifiers. Crystals were being polished and bracelets were being adjusted. It was fascinating. You're making me flash back to that work floor Dennis. Thanks man!

Most of the LT series uses this approach - Regal and Legalis as well as sweepers and others

LT is Daiwa's abbreviation for Light Tackle

Yes The 6000 size reel is very versatile. Along with the 5000 size reels, they can go just about anywhere - river, lake, ocean pier and boat and all types of fishing - Dennis

I have the 2500 legalis LT and I am curious if the anti reverse was defective or did the dunk in sand and salt do it in? Also I’d like to see a Shimano Sahara 2500 with the rear fighting drag done! I have one if you don’t and would be happy to send it in if you need one to demo!

A dunk missed up my fuego lt similar to this. Not this bad though.

I believe the swim in the ocean is the cause, but I had difficulty finding the replacement part, which may be suggesting that it has a higher than expected failure rate

@@otroflores91 I also have a 2500d-xh Fuego LT but mine is still operating like new.. I bought mine in 2020 and it’s been my mainly used spinning reel. I’m not in a saltwater area all freshwater. Mines seen plenty of action and I even got a 15lb catfish in on it one time.

@@SW_OhioFinesseBandit the freshwater makes all the difference. Mine sees inshore bay fishing for sea bass and halibut. Super fun hooking into a random shark or stingray.

For a reel that has been dunked in saltwater, fairly did a decent job compared to the higher end reels.

The inside of the case was actually pretty good.

Yes - send a note my email 2ndchancetackle@gmail.com The Jarvis Walker reels are hard to get parts of if needed. The reels are over 10 years old and were discontinued when Penn moved to Pure Fishing - Dennis

A $80-$110 reel new. Nice reel but keep it out of the ocean haha! I’m not good with all those small screws, etc

Well said. Even the "sealed" reels should not get a good dunking. Best wishes - Dennis
