Thanks MIke great stuff! If you are making an epoxy board surf or kite whatever, and want a clear coat of this stuff, put the vinyl ester or polyester over the epoxy while the epoxy is in the tacky stage. What happens is the vinyl ester comes to a complete cure in the sun then the epoxy under it cures to the vinyl ester. It makes a complete bond that never chips off. Much better then having the vinyl ester cure to the epoxy, but only works when making a new board.
I remember on my last repair that the same thing started happening. I think I took the board back out in the sun for 5-10 seconds and then peeled plastic off while in the sun. Another option is to try peeling from another direction.
do you have to use sunlight or can i just leave it in a warm room so it can harden cos i dont really mind how long it takes cos its bad weather where i am?

What plastic sheet did you use to go over the board? I’ve used Saran Wrap in the past, but it’s not as smooth as your plastic sheet. Thanks!
That is mylar ... normally you see roses wrapped in it but plastic wrap works as well
how do i fing out the material my board is made of
Wow, that board was a beater

only if a UV light, need UV not heat.
Years ago I bought a UV fluorescent bulb for a small desk lamp. Today you can buy nice UV LED flashlights if you want to fix dings at night.
@sweenyboy1 no u need UV, heat doesnt work
Where can I get some of that plastic that u used on the board?
+tokay999 It comes with the SUN CURE Fiberfill kit.
tokay999 any plastic will do as long as it's not super thin like seranwrap
One of my ding repair kits came with stiff clear plastic sheets and I also cut up some Ziploc bags to get flexible plastic sheets.
Nice thanks.
wait longer for the resin to harden
