Would some of you people quit putting Arnel down? If you had to be on tour that long your voice would be straining too. I saw them when they were in Raleigh NC and I have no complaints and I know what I'm listening to because I work in music production on the side.
I went and saw these guys at Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, VA last Wednesday and for all you haters out there, you're full of shit. Perry made his choice and had no right to expect the rest of the band to retire or quit just because he was gone. I couldn't tell the difference between Pineda and many of the Steve Perry-era songs, he (or they) put on a great showing.
I think you have it backwards. It's Steve who's making a living out of the band. They're paying him for moving on without him...it has something to do with contracts...
Must he keep imitating Steve Perry? He even tries to run across the stage and point the mic to the audience like Steve. He must have watched a lot of Journey footage. He CANNOT hit the notes like Steve~not even close! The band should be ashamed of themselves. They are still making a living off Steve after treating him like shit!
