what i heard (and saw from canadian worst driver) the point of having two hand on the steering wheel is to not over steer. here in canada they say to have your hand around 9 and 3 (clock position) so when you need to evade something by steering fast your forearm will block you from over steering.
1:09:24 It’s similar here in the states, although the 16+ License doesn’t allow you to travel between states (i.e. You can drive wherever in Washington State with a WA issued license, but you can’t drive into Idaho, Oregon, etc.) Unless I’m completely wrong and thinking of something else. Just don’t quote me on it.
In NY it is similar, 16 gets a conditional license and be ticket and warning free for 90-180 days. Idr the time frame. But I got my license for the first time after 25 so it is different because law says I was mature. I wasn't but I was a productive member of society. Also the interstate driving is not allowed during the conditional phase.
The problem when i play sims is im just so obsessed with keeping my sim's diamond thing green all the time. If they've been yellow for like a long time IRL i just give up on the sim and start a new game and the cycle repeats
whooo more sims! i've been binging it so much lately, my sleep schedule is suffering 🥲 i had to learn parallel parking (i live in the states), but im not sure if they've changed the test since i took it if alex needs to be surrounded by filth, maybe try keeping a pile of garbage somewhere in the yard so you can grow a garbage plant (dont let your sims pick it up) then pot it and put it in his room. i think that'll count
worst part about all of the Sims DLC is that there are different tiers of DLC, Stuff Packs (paranormal, movie night, backyard stuff), Game Packs (Werewolves, Vampires, Realm of Magic, Strangerville), and Expansion packs (Island Living, High School Years, Growing together (most expansion packs suck, except the Island Living, and Get To Work, some game packs are better, like the 4 i mentioned, not only because they're cheaper, but because the content is somehow more worth while.)
tbh if they had sims on the EA launcher. they could join the monthly club with EA and get access to all Sims 4 DLC's as a part of the club access. I think its like 5 pounds a month.
14:04 this feature returned in 3 and 4, in 3 it came with the Seasons expansion. and in 4, i think it was added with the Get To Work expansion, as that also added the aliens.
Re crossing hands on the steering wheel, for HGV's it is fine to do that even on the test. As they take a lot more turns to move. Makes it a lot easier.
13:33 there are many ways to obtain the DLC without spending any money. though Gabby should do it for Jake, because Jake will likely break his whole computer in the process, even with the instructions that some piracy options give.
Yup, not mandatory at all in the UK (though not sure about Northern Ireland). Ellis is right though that you’re treated differently with P plates, it can sometimes feel dangerous to have them on. Hence the nickname ‘Prick’ plates
To a driving test here in Denmark, then we are allowed to cross arms when turning. I cant remember from when I learned driving that driving instructor about shuffle our hands on the steering wheel. The only part of it is that we need to have at least one hand on the wheel. Like when changing gears or turning. But driving normally or straight, then we need to have both hands on the wheel in "quarter to three" position. You will fail a danish driving test if you dont have both hands on the wheel like that, unless turning or changing gears I know I will fail one today, because Im too used to have one hand on the wheel and one on the gear shifter, as to prepare to change gears. Or if I know that I need to change gear alot, like if I driving in a city. We also learning how to parallel park, and do other kinds of manoeuvres. Like 3 point turn (Abit hard to be honest), reverse around a corner, reverse straight. Park in parking stall/booth (Not sure what fits there) both straight and reverse. A driving instructions in danish goes more like this. To start you will get x hours in theory only, before you getting x hours in what in danish we calling "playpen/playyard" where it is closed off to anyone beside those in the yard learning to drive. Here you will learn how to drive the car more as well to train the manoeuvres. We do have a speed limit in the yard, which is 20 ish km/h. After that it is a mix of x hours with theory, which normally follows with x hours of driving to what we learned in theory. After that, we will get onto an "advance driving technique" course. Basically where we learn how to sit the best, comfortable and safest way and drive. What ABS and ESP/ESC are and what they do and how they work. Plus learning how to react in case we loose control of the car, and how to regain the control. Like if you suddenly have one side of your car off the road. We also learning how to drive in case it is raining heavily or if the road is frozen. It will teach us how fast we should be driving to make sure we stop in time. Aka, the braking distance increases. After that it is more theory lessons and driving lessons, where towards where we will have the theory test and driving test, it is just a repeat of what we learned. My parents always told me that once I get my driving licence, then it is where I really learning how to drive. As I will be alone in controlling the car, and the instructor isnt sitting beside me. We dont have L or P plates in Denmark, but the most simliar is a plate or sign on the driver instructor's car where it saying "SKOLEVOGN" (Learner car in english, or direct translated: School Wagon) But once we pasted, and owning a car, then we dont need that. Other drivers can in general see when it is a fairly new person that just pasted driving tests. Most noticable is the stalling, which can happen to everyone Oh, and most learner cars here in Denmark is manual gear. Very few is automatic, and we dont have separated licences for that. If you learned driving with manual gear, then the government assuming that you can drive all cars that your licence is allowed to. Manual or automatic. Currently, Im only allowed to drive cars with total weight of 3500 kg, where Im allowed to drive a farm tractor, and two different mopeds. One limited to drive 30 km/h, and the other limited to drive 45 km/h. There is a separate licence for motorcycle, car with big trailers/campervans. HGV/Lorries, those with trailers as well. And one for bus and bus with a trailer.
I know this is old but I know what you mean Gabby regarding driving. I survived a car wreck and it took me years to learn to drive because it freaked me out. Weirdly, doing my test in Swindon across the magic roundabout got me through it - because I was so convinced I’d failed I stopped caring for the rest of it.
Everyone talking about disc drives on computers made me look at my computer... It HAS a disc drive that I've never used but the computer itself still works perfectly... I didn't realise that I own a relic from 2015... ^^;
I earned my driving licence last year in April (almost been a whole year 🎉) but I've had P plates on purely for the purpose to tell people to give space or to understand I am most likely going to make a mistake and stall my car which has happened quite a few times now (especially when I've stopped on a hill, I still gotta learn where my car's bite is) but I haven't experience people bully me because of my P plates so it must 100% depend on the area you are at. Then again I dont use my car much sadly
The thing with P plates and L plates from what I have experienced and seen. People drive like utter Kents because they think you’re going to be shit and slow so they will drive so dangerously around you to try and get ahead of you which is why I’m with Ellis I will never have P plates. And with insurance, maybe one of the most rage inducing things of my life, I was quoted £2,900 on a 1.6 diesel that was dog shit slow and the car was only worth £1200. Robbing bastards. Also guys as someone who’s learning in the UK now, reverse round a corner and 3 point turns are no longer in the exams but they’ve added parking into oncoming traffic
I feel licky to have taken my lerners test and drivers test here in the states, in the state of Maine were i live at 16 u can take Drivers Ed, if u pass that you are given a lerners permit and that means u can drive along with a liscnced driver for 70 total hours then after that u can go stright for the license if u pass that your all set, the conpany i used for my lerners actually siad NOT to shuffle the wheel they said its dangerous as well, and insurance for me was/is great my 1994 toyota pickup 4x4 4 cylinder is only $38 a month its the 2nd up from liability too so i get uninsured motorist coverage and tow,
This is not really turn based strategy, but Ellis may be interested in Arknights if he enjoys tower defense game, but with waifu. It is gacha though. But you played Azur Lane before, so just recommending.
Tarter has gherkins mayo egg and onion in it, that's poison enough to me but ranch dressing is just pure hatred I rather make it orange vinaigrette lol
ngl, 1k for your first car is what i payed for, and that was on black box insurance. black box insurance is good but it does limit you, but like mostly just limits you to the actual law. my friend complains only because he likes to go over 80 so its a weak argument but the breaking and steering can be testy with it, but it should show you where to improve on your insurance app. first year for my Skoda Citgo was 1k and then i swapped over to another insurance company - Hasting's direct and it got me down to £500, so really not that bad. its definitely less expensive for insurance if you have backbox and also, Gabby, as you're older and a woman your insurance will be lower. I believe - citations needed, its sort of biased and women will tend to get lower insurance costs than men.
I retract my question, they mentioned it ahha, and in Canada we have a restricted license like new Zealand, Today I had a close call someone pulled over so mess of us could pass, I was right behind them and there was a Jeep Gladiator right behind me tailgating me to be honest I have my turn signal on about to pull out and then the jeep came up almost tboned me
Omg I love you guys sooo mcub gabbyyour nmy fvaoeite if I could donate I would... IOM go shoudhd be be writing this.. loveees (one champagne bottle too much, also Jake Cobos we share sma elname loves from Cheshire!! Loves, I apologise for this message in advance
Jake has the speech speed of Hermaeus Mora when it comes to explaining jokes. I love it.
When you try to love someone, but all they want to do is sh*t. 🎶"So no one told me life was gonna be this way"🎶
👏👏👏👏
53:20, I heard that Gabby.
I finally figured alexes relationship name! Palex the P stands for the prisoners in his basement
How is Alex entering bedrooms when someone's doing woohoo, the doors suppose to be locked! 😂
Alex after streams: "It puts the lotion on it's skin or else it gets the hose again!" 😈
Awesome I thought these were all gonna be stuck as private , made my day to see more available. Thanks.
P plates standard in here in Australia and you have to show them at all times as well and YES MORE SIMS
My gosh the WPE team is on point today with the one-liners hahaha

1:09:04
minor correction. P plates are used in Australia.
Yeah that part confused me at first hearing that it's optional(?) since its mandatory in Australia.
1:09:24 It’s similar here in the states, although the 16+ License doesn’t allow you to travel between states (i.e. You can drive wherever in Washington State with a WA issued license, but you can’t drive into Idaho, Oregon, etc.)

This may be the funniest stream you guys have ever done. The amount of quick wit was amazing
Sometimes I sit here watching and just shake my head at the different topics you guys talk about.
The problem when i play sims is im just so obsessed with keeping my sim's diamond thing green all the time. If they've been yellow for like a long time IRL i just give up on the sim and start a new game and the cycle repeats
I know the feeling :(

Gabby I feel the same way for driving. I refuse to drive because of how many close calls I’ve had as a passenger. Other drivers are crazy.
No Jonk, I am not dating Summer Holiday.......Me missus would kill me LMAO

To save the relationship buy the magic pack and use a potion of forced friendship. Its the easiest lol.
it sounds like you've had this issue before lol
ellis at 17:03 sums up how he was feeling with what just happened perfectly

Open the jar (twist the lid off)
Open the jar (Conterclockwise)

I'm so glad i discovered these guys. Always guaranteed to make me laugh. 😂

Also imagine how long it would take to shuffle the wheel with how slow a HGV’s steering ratio is by comparison with a car
13:33
there are many ways to obtain the DLC without spending any money.

1:06:08 aah yes, the institute of advance motorist, or as what they were once nicknamed on Top Gear "The wheel shufflers"
1:46:33 omg that evil wheeze of ellis says it all
At this point cheats might be the only way to fix Cath and Ellis' relationship
Surprised that you can just skip out on P plates in the UK, they're mandatory in australia

@1:09:00 P plates in AUS are mandatory carries fines and demerit points to drive without them

12:00 gabby says it like me/most Americans "Tar-Ter"
definitely a stream of all time
I find it ironic how I got to this stream of the sims the day after I schedule my road test for my licence.
I am too used to seeing Sims dying from an another channel so seeing nobody die is so weird.
What’s happening in the Barlow Household this time

I actually had a woman tell me I had nice feet for a man in line at a Walmart once. And kept talking about it. I was SO weirded out!
29:34 that’s sweet
Ellis, look up the game Battle for Wesnoth: Legacy. It's a mobile game that was the reboot of my favorite strategy game, and I love it!

typical woman behaviour of Gabby. once she realizes she wrong she stops talking about the subject.
