Lee struggles against extremely safe and patient players, like Knee the downloader. He's a character that's excellent in counter hits, but against players like Knee or Arslan who have godlike patience and reaction time it's gonna be super difficult for Lee.
I'm waiting for people to say that Lee is broken even though GM keeps ranting about how he is held back by Lee in Tekken 7 compared to Tag 2, Iamyourfather cried for the completely unnecessary nerfs of Season 3 and Help_Me definetly dropped the character in favor of Julia.
Its the same with anna,she was far better in tag 2. Anticipate dragunov getting buffed to the moon next patch and down 2 being a full launch. Thats tekken e sport balance for ya

Father's obviously very skilled, but GM gets tournament results while Father falls apart in a tournament setting. One of them beat a global top-tier player in a first to 10 offline and the other hasn't. One was 34th in the TWT, the other was unranked. It's that simple. You can't debate if Father is better until he can do something similar at real tournaments.

the difference between GM and Father that i noticed is that GM plays with technicalities and pure fundamentals while father plays with instinct and of course a solid fundamentals.

GM is definitely the best Lee player in the world, he has the most and best results with him across different Tekken games competitive wise (which matters the most imo).
I believe GM is dropping some combos(not all) on purpose because he probably doesn't want Arslan to get Rage during okizame and sometimes that meagre damage he could get might not be that worth it at all since Lee can actually pull some more damage from the okizame game. Another possibility is even if he toke him to the wall, he probably could get less place to move and risk places being switched very fast and turn the match against himself. This is what crosses my mind has a fellow Lee player, can't say I'm sure of most of it but it seemed that way to me at least.
I think GM is a bit more safer to call "the best Lee in the world" imo considering he is the most active & successful actual Tournament LEE player, he does tournaments, even twt, alot and has done better than any Lee in T7 tournaments so far... imyourfather is not, but he is that good skill wise (arguably even better), he just doesnt compete in tournaments (unless its some random local korean tournament, even those he does rarely)... I think if imyourfather was more serious & practiced/played for tournaments to get used to offline inputs & live competition, to get some of that nervousness out, he could maybe be better, offline/online is a difference... but right now he is just a Online content Lee really, he is a fun character/personality to watch tho...
FightingGM is so sick. I saw him dominate JDCR's Heihachi and Armor King in a casual long set not long ago. Definitely in the top 5 US players, probably right behind Anakin and Jimmy atm. And btw Ulsan got wrecked badly by Noroma at the TWT Finals, so Chikurin wasn't the only player who managed to beat him. Incredible player nevertheless and one of the contenders for future No. 1.

Do you mean execution on character overall ? The first one yes the second not really. Lee is pretty decent mostly mid tier. Not only that but he is hurt by the power creep. Shaheen and Law are pretty much a better version of him so people just don't bother on a pro level at least.
I’d also mention that - increasingly - the cast in season 3 has seen a big gain in wall-carry combos. That was previously one of Lee’s key strengths, and it’s been watered down. When you combine the fact of his best play being locked behind a formidable execution barrier, Lee is probably slipping down the tier list significantly - though any character can be incredible in the right hands

They are not even comparable. GM is a seasoned tournament player who has won countless tournaments with Lee since Tekken 5. Imyourfather is an online player who is an entertaining streamer and who has never done anything competitively.
