Update for Day 5: Yesterday was a bad day. I barely got my words done at around midnight after I felt really crappy the whole evening. I may hit my word count goals but it's getting harder and harder to be easy on myself for the quality of my writing. It's really bad after a break of a decade. I constantly have to remind myself that I'm just building a foundation that is meant to be fixed the next time around.
WOW, Great job Sarra! For a first time writer and first time doing NaNoWriMo, I don't think I'm doing too bad. I sat down tonight and wrote 2,389 words, so my four day total is 7,816. I'm impressed with myself. I just need to keep it up. Luckily, the words are flowing really well right now. Best of luck Sarra! You've got this! You have a lot of drive and great tenacity! You will get both the edits done for Fate's Surrender, and the first big chunk of The Witch's Door. You've got this! I'm here because of you! Look at how many people you inspire! YAY!

Oh my god, you know I only just figured out last week that Razer are a REAL company?! Hehehe, we don't get them here in the UK, so when I read a series called 'Gamer Girls' by Auryn Hadley and one of the main characters talks about her Razer gear, I just thought that it was a fictional company that the author had made up! LOL. You should totally read that series. As a gamer girl yourself you'll thoroughly enjoy the premise. The last two books of the series are on pre-order now, I think. Anyway, my word count is currently 7212. Word sprints with a local Nano writing group that have a Discord server have really helped.

Yes! I play steam games, but I also bought both a xbox and a ps4 controller and when you hook them up you can play the PSNow games and xbox live games on there! It's awesome but it does get overheated sometimes a bit.
I'm at 4,306 words and writing chapters three and four. I start out thinking a chapter will break in one spot and then move the break, which is why I have two partially written chapters. There were some words deleted, and then new words added, so I don't know how that counts in the total. Last time I did Nano, you entered the new words on a different day and could edit previous days. It has changed. I edited the first day numbers SOMEWHERE but not sure where, but it didn't change the fact that I didn't get a badge because I didn't enter them before midnight. So, yeah, that sucks. I've actually written more than this amount, but, with the deletes, I can't keep up with that. It's kind of hard not to feel discouraged, even this early in the game, because tracking word count so that I get credit for it is distracting me from actually writing.
