YES! Short cuts demand maintenance and are expensive. I tell everybody think before you cut it because the ponytail days are gone. I have had a short cut for over 20 years. Subbed! 🌹
Short cuts were in before the natural styles and the wigs got popular. ive never been able to grow my hair and I'm just not the natural girl because of my alopecia but when my hair was short it was easy to camoflouage. I'm thinking about going back short. If I get tired I'll just put on one of my 20 wigs.
yesss! My short style clients are weekly visits. Yes they are expensive, especially when clothes is incorporated into the ticket! But as I say, we pay for what we want!
Short cuts are only high maintenance and expensive for ppl who don’t know how to manage it themselves. I’ve always felt my short cuts were way more low maintenance. I don’t even have to curl it every day
Short is the easiet most manageable hairstyle I ever had. 🤷🏽♀️
That’s not my experience. It depends on how you wear your hair. Short hair worn as natural curls is the easiest maintenance of styles in my opinion.
I agree with what she says about the “in between phase”. I ended up losing all of my hair a few years and as I grew it back out I HATED those phases just because they really were hard to figure out what to do. Simply because I couldn’t really style my hair because it was to long but not long enough to pull back into a pony tail.
I don’t know why people are saying she cut too much. When I wear my hair short, I go that short! Commit to short or long. Period. The client was happy and that is what matters in the end.

Wow I miss my perm and my short hair cut. I went natural thinking it would help my alopecia but for the last 4 years it hasn't gotten any better. So I'm thinking about going back to my short do.
Why are ppl saying dumb shit. I’m sure they did a run through before the process and I’m sure the client trusts her stylist’s opinions and decisions. Everybody wants to say what they would’ve done but WHO CARES ITS NOT YOUR VIDEO SO GO MAKE YOUR OWN AND DO IT THE WAY “YOU WOULD’VE DONE” I loved it!

That's a nice Hair-do at first I didn't like it because it was much too short! But as she started to curl it adding waves and textures to it the style really came alive!! It's quite Beautiful really!!

For me..I would've had her to leave more hair on the top & middle of the head..to give a more full look..giving the image of a mohawk..but she has skills..just wouldn't have been a cut for me

Fearless 12 sometimes a cut is unavoidable. Example. If someone has terrible split ends, damage, etc, you have to cut it all to retain the health of the rest of the hair. As for this video, the woman already had a short cut and needed something manageable for her. They clearly discussed all of this beforehand. What did you expect Crystal to do, add weave? The client obviously wanted short hair.

Just to add most black women will take offense because they don't like to get much hair cut off they are really attached to their hair, but it grows back. Our hair don't always grow back as fast so it's offensive to see more than an inch taken off. Keep doing greatness and as one of your commenters said, there was no gun to the lady head so she obviously wanted very short hair.

Short permed cuts are hard to maintain at home because you have to curl flat iron it almost everyday, but the style came out nice 👍
I have a very short permed cut & NEVER flat iron it between salon visits. I don't wrap it either. Just sleep on a dating pillowcase. My cut is the easiest most carefree cut I've ever had. I just wake & go. Don't spend any time on my hair at all.

No it's not. I just put moisturizer on my hair & my durag, & it looks good. I only use flatirons if I'm going somewhere special

When I was younger I had my hair cut short and it wasn't easy to manage you have to constantly get it cut short and have it curl and relaxed

It’s called a “ short cut “ for a reason! Expect a stylist who is a perfectionist and knows their craft to go back in and do more cutting because they want the style to come out right and the customer satisfied. If you don’t like getting your hair cut then this isn’t for you! Period!

I LOVE short hair!! In my opinion, short cuts don't get the credit they deserve ; so many people look amazing with short hair, regardless of face shape or body size.
It's my opinion, but I see it every day online with hair and wig reviews, too. Honestly, a lot of women are terrified to even wear a pixie cut wig and think they look "bad" or "old" with short hair. I don't understand it. It's a bold, classy & youthful style! 😘

I sweat so badly in my scalp that almost as soon as I press my hair I'm just sweating sweating sweating and it certainly has kinked up at the roots. What do I do about that if there is anything I can do.

Nice but I agree with most of the comments on being a sissor ✂️ . Just curious, is that a client's choice/optional to cut after dry. Why not wait until the hair is dry if you are going to continue cutting. Way too much cutting on the top. How is she going to manage her hair at home.
