After a year teaching biology, I am finally back to make balloon animals. There are lots of designs for this fish out there. My design is meant to be quick and easy for line or restaurant work. It takes three 260s and one white round.
The video moves pretty quickly, so use the pause button as needed.

Hi, Sage! This was a really quickie design, so I'm glad it gets your seal of approval. One the one hand, I feel like this design could have a bit more detail and bit less open space in the middle. But on the other hand, I like the simplicity and the fact it only uses a few balloons, but is still clearly recognizable.
I'm not sure how many more designs I'm going to be able to come up with and record this summer before the next school year starts up. Hopefully at least a couple more.

Mr. Boma's Balloons yes, at first the negative space bothered me for a second and then I realized exactly what you said, that the amount of balloons is perfect and the "hollow" portions make sense with this design. I found the frontal view to be very striking as well.
I know you don't have a ton of extra time to make new vids, but you know I'll be here on the ones you do put up.
Great to talk to you and I'll look forward to the next one!

Nice video. I like the conservative approach to the balloon usage.
I had wanted to do marine designs near an aquarium but they were clear about colorful things that the marine life accidentally consume.

Not all of my designs are so conservative with the balloon usage, but this one is.

I got on a roll and made ten of these. They're now known as the Blue Tang Clan.

This is probably the most easiest balloon to make

The light blue and white round 260's are the only ones that were not popped off. BTW It's been awhile since I did not watch your videos

Maybe the bubbles could've been 2 fingers instead of 2 and 1/2 so you could get the pinch twist at the end.

It's a great design that I plan to steal immediately, lol ( I always give proper credit if asked ) although I'm curious about an aspect of the design. when you did the fins on the fish you put 2 pinch twists in the center of the blue spacing balloon. they don't seem to serve any purpose either for tying in or stabilization. wouldn't it be both faster and safer ( in regards to the likelihood of popping ) to leave those out and just have the pinch twists on the ends?

Re: the fins. I actually ended up changing the design on the fly as I filmed. The pinch twists were going to serve a purpose. But you are right, as constructed they are not needed. Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. Thanks for watching!

My video is just about how to get the size right. As for getting them even, that just takes practice. Mike Floyd, Holly George, or Cody Williams might have some tips or tricks in some of their videos.

I use a dolphin I learned from warrenann. It's in my Aquatic Animals playlist, along with a few other dolphin designs: th-cam.com/play/PLlGh13E2YGCFnawgDfMlwIdQSnFVYWsLG.html

Thanks Thor. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but maybe tone down the language. I'm a school teacher and my students do sometimes find my TH-cam channel, so I'd appreciate if we try and keep things appropriate for them, please. Thanks.
