We loved our time in Pompei. What a place. Some great tips about the app. We had a guided tour, but we broke away and saw what we wanted to. We loved wandering around the old houses. The preserved people are eerie aren't they and that view of Versuvius at the end of the Main Street is amazing. Thanks for a great tour of the site, we can't wait to go back. Cheers 🍻

What an historic place, talk about the power of mother nature I guess it was like a tsunami went through this place I am sure it runs through your mind what happened especially considering the mountain behind you that caused all the destruction yes back then things were built to a higher standard than today which is a shame because you pay more today but unfortunately the quality is not as good so I assume that when the mountain erupted the people and the city was like petrified engulfed solid from the heat and lava just imagine that so from a religious perspective that's a good reason to avoid hell at all costs because this place was definitely ground zero for it when this tragedy occurred just awful so thank's again witytravels for sharing this incredible journey from this historic place called Pompeii Italy 👍
The park! hehe you're not sunning it up at Disney World in Florida now Will 😆. I love this place, one of my favourites in Italy - so interesting and raw. You're totally right about modern buildings compared to what they were building 2,000 years ago - there's no competition. Crazy to think that citizens of Pompeii would have been seeing the same kinda scene nearly 2,0000 years ago - and the dread and panic that must have spread like wildfire on those streets when the eruption began. Great to walk around with you, brings back some cool memories from my trip there in 2014. Loved the out-take at the end!!
I love Wolters world If I was there I’d be left to my own devices, not thinking of watching tips that be me there many days fell away with nothing left to show. But looking at Mount Vesuvius give me chill thinking how the walls kept tumbling down in a city that we loved, know that volcano eruption would send dark clouds over the hill sending darkness from above. But seeing all the people in there and shops stores makes me wonder, IF YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES, DOES IT ALMOST FEEL LIKE NOTHING CHANGED AT ALL

There aren't many places like Pompeii. We are very glad that we were able to explore this area.
