    ABOUT REVISIONIST HISTORY
Revisionist History is Malcolm Gladwell’s journey through the overlooked and the misunderstood. Every podcast episode re-examines something from the past - an event, a person, an idea, even a song - and asks whether we got it right the first time. Because sometimes the past deserves a second chance.

The hand that rocks the cradle.....what a strange, strange fruit off the tree of knowledge here. Mind blowing, kinda. I have forgotten though how pristine Fitzgerald's voice was.

Origin stories are not always faked by the child, but quite often by their parents. My grandmother knew she was born out of wedlock, the difficulty was knowing where and when she was born (on a boat in the Black Sea would have been a great cover story). Her father said London in 1910. After my great-grandmother died a hand-written horoscope was found saying my grandmother was born in Paris in 1907. I've looked at a photograph of my grandmother when she was supposed to be three and all I can say is she looks rather advanced for her age. It was easier (and often a good idea) for people to reinvent themselves. Not so easy to get away with these days, as George Santos knows only too well. My late father-in-law moved to a different continent as a very young man after his father was imprisoned for embezzlement. A clean slate in the Indian Police.

Bit bizarre all round. He was a special kind of special. Mind you the “helping industry” is like that.
Jung & Freud would be both delighted & horrified that nothing much more has come along since.
Gosh I could get on a soapbox right now. 👍

Interesting universals in this one. Self-fulfilling prophecy and perhaps falling into "Fronts" patterns .

My question is, what made me add this comment! With this comment I hope to open up a line of communication with Mr Gladwell. So what made me post this comment, I know the chance of Mr Gladwell responding to this comment is less then Zero. So why am I taking this chance, could it be hope, what good is hope in ones life story? How did I develop this system of belief? Why does mankind beliefs align with, what ever history they hold in their heads? HISTORY IS FLUID?
