I love Byrd! He's his own man and Judge Judy wouldn't be the same without him. He helped the Judge in her cases beforehand and he's there when she needs him (like in S17e02 when the parties were potentially dangerous and Bryd sensed the possible danger a good 5 minutes before I was even aware of the possibility of it). He's a smart man, funny, and I would be extremely proud if I ever got to meet him. True his role doesn't seem to be large on the show but his very presence keeps danger at bay, his world-wise knowledge helps out the technophobic Judge Shieldlin, and his sense of humour is gentle and subtle :) He's my fuck!ng hero!!

The production company rakes in the money thanks to her and because of that, she gets a lot of money in return. It's television...that how it works. If her show wasn't as successful as it is, she wouldn't get that. It's all about the advertisers and the syndication deals.
