Pretty much they can afford to sell all of this stuff for really cheap because they bought it in a massive bulk supply that the warehouse didn't have any more use for. So, yes, labor prices and such in China can still be very questionable. That, and not all of these items are bought like this. But, in all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if that pusheen was actually not stolen, just bought at a low price to sell at a low price!

Sadly birds are EXTREMELY sensitive to impurities that may be in cheaply made bird products. Just one tainted toy could cause serious issues or even death for a bird. They just aren't as resilient as we are. Heck, I'm careful even with stuff I get from more reputable sources when it comes to my birds, I wouldn't risk it with wish products. It just takes one tainted item after all.

The issue with knock-offs is that they often end up in the legitimate market sold as the real thing, and that actually does damage a brand. The reality is that no one is entitled to have Pusheen on something just because they like it. If you can't afford it, then save the money you'd spend on a knock-off, save the money from the next knock-off you buy, and the next, until you have the money to buy a legitimate item.

AliExpress and Wish aren’t what everyone thinks it is. It’s very similar to eBay but like an Asian eBay. A few of my mom groups on Facebook actually have good relationships with AliExpress and Wish sellers. A lot of them are families that have every aunt, uncle, and cousin working to make these products for pennies on the dollar. That’s why you’ll see 20 of the same item posted using the same photo (usually a photo that’s taken from Instagram or Etsy), but if you buy all 20 of the same item they’ll all look differently upon arrival. Just like on eBay, they all have different shop names or different sellers. That’s also why whenever you have an issue with an item, you deal directly with the seller and if the seller doesn’t fix the item, then you can go higher up to the people who run these apps and all they can do for you is contact the seller to try and move it along. There are a lot of shops and sellers that are employing other people for very little money, but we stay in contact with quite a few that are actually families trying to recreate popular items and sell them for a lower price than the original.

AliExpress and Wish aren’t what everyone thinks it is. It’s very similar to eBay but like an Asian eBay. A few of my mom groups on Facebook actually have good relationships with AliExpress and Wish sellers. A lot of them are families that have every aunt, uncle, and cousin working to make these products for pennies on the dollar. That’s why you’ll see 20 of the same item posted using the same photo (usually a photo that’s taken from Instagram or Etsy), but if you buy all 20 of the same item they’ll all look differently upon arrival. Just like on eBay, they all have different shop names or different sellers. That’s also why whenever you have an issue with an item, you deal directly with the seller and if the seller doesn’t fix the item, then you can go higher up to the people who run these apps and all they can do for you is contact the seller to try and move it along. There are a lot of shops and sellers that are employing other people for very little money, but we stay in contact with quite a few that are actually families trying to recreate popular items and sell them for a lower price than the original.

To all of the people who think it's wrong to purchase off-brand items occasionally: Go get a job, then tell me how much extra money you have to buy a $15 plushie, if you are treating your bills and taxes right. I get your point, but saving money is how people get nice things, so if you can purchase the same thing as you wanted before for a cheaper price, that money you save over time can be used later for much nicer things, such as consoles, furniture, and even homes.
To all of the people who don't like her parrot: I bet you don't comment that when some TH-camr's cats walk into their video. I love her bird, and the captions she puts into the video adds some random humor here and there that makes her videos even better than they already were. The only people who probably don't like the bird are those who don't know what it's like to own a pet in the first place.
