Yeah I did this at Firestone......Tracked my car the next week and lost a rear control arm bolt going around a corner. Almost lost the car because of it. I'll never trust some random mechanic at a chain like Firestone to align a car I actually care about. They didn't torque it properly, luckily they gave me a full refund but was super disappointing.
I agree on it pays for itself. I refused the offer many times when I go get my car checked out. And now that I want adjustable coilovers and new sway bars having that lifetime alignment would sure come in handy now. So yes people its worth it.
thanks for this dude! i know some shops refuse cars that have been lowered or have adjustable suspensions...so this is great and verified that firestone does do alignments of cars of any camber/toe
Firestone here in Manhattan, Kansas will not do work on Mercedes vehicles, they said something about they can't do it because it has to be under load, and they don't have the tools, it sucks
Exactly! They have super outdated above ground racks... My local one even said so lol. I work at a dealer and seen other shops and every one has newer flush racks.
Damn I must be lucky with the one I go to. My lowered Accord needed wooded boards to get on their rack but they still performed the work without a problem.
milanmastracci they once said they'd try to do it but then wanted to charge me an extra $40 fee for "special accommodations" I said no thanks and left. 35/40 shops don't have low enough racks and the ones that do have a broken alignment machine or their alignment guy is out for vacation
My whole time rod came out of the rack when I was leaving Firestone in my area, and the driver side has about a 3/4 inch poke in the rear where the passenger side is perfect.
Truth be told they might not be as enthusiastic as you about being your suspension mods aligner. Twice in a couple of weeks is one thing, but you keep showing up with mods like coilovers and they might start reading the fine print on your contract to you. Read it. it might have something in there about bringing in other people's suspension work. They are not that stupid. The reason they give that one time fee is to get you to come back for suspension work like you did on your own.
This is only good until the tell you that you need all new suspension and alignment components -- at which point you WILL pay for all the "free" alignments.
I'll never go to Firestone, at least not a specific store. I had a 12 month alignment warranty after getting new tires and an alignment. I never had this problem before, but when I got the car back it was pulling to the right, braking it pull real hard to the right, the steering wheel flops to the left and or right. I took back a second time, same thing. Took it to my my mechanic, put in new front struts and assembly, and rear shocks. There was no more hard pulling when braking, really, it didn't pull that bad at all, the steering wheel felt tighter, but they told me to get an alignment after putting in the struts, etc. Went back because I had the warranty, the guy was telling me the warranty is only good if they do something wrong . They still did it, and my car was back to pulling to the right, floppy steering wheel, pulling when I braked. It wasn't doing this after they put in the new struts, assembly and rear shocks, and my mechanic told me they didn't even bother airing up the tires. I'll probably just try another fire stone or cut my losses and figured those guys at Firestone just don't care or just don't know what they're doing or both, then go somewhere else. I have a Nissan Altima, maybe they had to do it a certain way, who knows at this point. I guess i'll find out when I take to another firestone, if it continues, just take it else where.
its not lifetime but dont tell me that you will ever go 8 times with same car I personaly dont allign before i change everything so it is pretty much cheaper,,and for all we have much lower standards than sweden usa canada etc. so its not strange to be like that
Thanks for sharing! I didnt know about this deal at Firestone. i usually don't like lifetime warranty deals from mechanic shops/dealers/etc. as there is always some catch or they try to get your money some other way or find reasons/excuse to not do this service for you...but may give it a try.
*Caveat* - if u raise or lower ur suspension, it voids the warranty. so if u got coilovers or any kind of adjustable suspension, buy at ur own risk; they may not honor the warranty out of speculation that u altered ur suspension.
Just watched your video on the 240SX. If your half hour from the USA border must be in St. Catharines, Ont. I'm to far for that but do visit the USA. I do my own alignments. Watch You Tube videos on this. If I had a large surface table I would drive my car on it. Then get a square and put up to side of the rim and measure up and down, until parallel. Rim then sits square to level surface. As for toe, run a String off two Jack stands from front wheel back to rear. Get the string parallel across rear wheel then measure front wheel gap on each side of rim. Then adjust tie rod end until parallel. Then your done. Just today drove to Windsor, Ontario on the 401 highway. My steering wheel parallel and could take my hands off the wheel and car steered straight. Do not blow your money driving to the USA for alignments when you can do them in a flat parking lot or on a perfectly level surface. I do not trust mechanics, because once I took my car in for a alignment and took my car for a test drive and destroyed the engine. Had to drive it home and pull the engine to put in another one. As far as I'm concerned they are a bunch of hacks.
All of the "lifetime alignment" chains around here either won't work on modified suspensions, or they'll constantly try to upsell you on replacing components you don't need to(assuming they can get your car on the rack).
I've never run into that problem before. I made sure before paying that they wouldn't have any problem with modified suspension. I've seen some people with SLAMMED cars used boards to get on the alignment rack and they still performed the alignment.
hey bud how's it going? I was wondering if you could make the quick video on how to lift up the golf and set it on jack stands where's the lift points and the where you place the jack without pinching the welds. and thanks in advance.
Love the content but please try to keep it fresh and not recycle the same videos again and again! Not hating at all, just giving some positive criticism.
I was wondering how I could make a video about the 240, keep you guys up to date, and not have it that my channel doesn't have any new content. I'm going to be ripping apart my Mini motor soon so expect those new videos on the way :)
Any time really. They usually tell you to go every 6 months or so, as a means of just going even if you don't usually bring your car to a shop so you don't wear out your tires prematurely. If I don't mess around with my suspension, I will go twice a year, once before winter, and once right after winter. That way I know I don't kill my summer tires or my winter tires
Justin Kelly It's not dumb lol. When you choose to modify your car you should understand that there will be special shops you have to go to have your vehicle serviced at times. Firestone makes money off of the general populations vehicles. You wouldn't ask them to tune your car? Because it's understood they aren't a performance shop.
Ole Boy No it is. I realize they aren't going to replace racks just to have new technology and better racks however nearly all new racks being install are flush mount. My local Firestone also has issue with their outdated machine as twice I have called and it has been down. If you say they just can't do modified cars well your wrong. They can't do Corvettes or any cars low from the factory, they told me that too. Of course I wouldn't ask Firestone to tune my car, they don't offer that service nor would I trust them!
Dude how! I got aftermarket struts n can't install them because then I void my 3 year unlimited alignment. They tell me that I have to buy their parts and have them do the labor or else i have to pay for a full price alignment! Btw I'm at Discount tires.
Oh I know!! I'm going to tackle it when the weather gets a bit colder and I won't be driving this. I can drop and take everything out to clean it up good! :)
milanmastracci The more I learn. Interesting. I have it on all my rides. It's definitely worth it. Along with the tire rotation, balancing, and other coverage it comes in handy.
LOL Probably one more when I get my coilovers, and that's it. After that its just about maintaining that alignment. So then probably every next 6 months/1 year
After that alignment you need to fix w/ever the hell is rattling...that would bug the shit out of me...AND I'm pretty sure most of us know what a lifetime alignment means...no need to explain it 10 times...jeezlouise dude..
I paid $130 with coupon life time alignment at pepboys. you got ripped off 😂😂😂😂😂😂 shits not free if you're still technically having to pay for it. CLICKBAIT
Lame. Thought you where doing it in your garage. Going to teach myself each specific alignment knowledge so I can set up my own geometry. That's a lifetime of free alignments.
I do not know you guys but I would not take seriously any advice from someone who drives a car without seeing where it goes when he takes his eyes off the street and focuses on the camera that does not seem the most intelligent thing in the world!
You're right.. Disregard all of the advice I'm giving in this video because I looked at a camera while I was driving. That doesn't sound unreasonable at all
Too funny the title never pay for a wheel alignment again bullshit you always have to pay and also you will need to do alignment every time you get tyres or re adjust your suspension setup
Majority of his audience are from USA. He's showing us a great service. Some of us wouldn't have to drive as far as he had to, alas some of us would. Well worth it.

$169! That's high! We pay $29-$39 in Dallas
Maybe that's why they are moving here in droves? I should talk, I got here in 89 from Illinois lol
In Sweden we pay 150 dollars
Jeff Jeffrey i need a alignment for my 2012 accord where its 29-39$?? For alignment and its life time?? Or just 1 time?
Got that deal back in 2007. Thats 10 years off free alignments so far.
I've heard good and bad things about firestone alignments. Sometimes they do a good job other times not so much.
Firestone here in Manhattan, Kansas will not do work on Mercedes vehicles, they said something about they can't do it because it has to be under load, and they don't have the tools, it sucks
Nice. I've gotten that service and it's totally saved me a ton of money.
Oh yeah!! Well worth the money
Sucks firestone can't even get my lowered 350z on their racks
Exactly! They have super outdated above ground racks... My local one even said so lol. I work at a dealer and seen other shops and every one has newer flush racks.
Damn I must be lucky with the one I go to. My lowered Accord needed wooded boards to get on their rack but they still performed the work without a problem.

Extreme pain in the ass and crazy thing is my Z is only lowered an inch
My whole time rod came out of the rack when I was leaving Firestone in my area, and the driver side has about a 3/4 inch poke in the rear where the passenger side is perfect.

Yeah alot of firestone here in California hates lowered car and will not offer them the lifetime deal. Its even stated in the contract.
Got a lifetime for my s2000 @ firestone, works hand and hand when I get it rotate and balance. But they don't accept modified or lowered than factory.
This is only good until the tell you that you need all new suspension and alignment components -- at which point you WILL pay for all the "free" alignments.
Sounds like a firestone ad
I'll never go to Firestone, at least not a specific store. I had a 12 month alignment warranty after getting new tires and an alignment. 160 dollars wow, here in Croatia EU it is like 20 dollars
TheMrMoric same in Bulgaria, even cheeper in some places.
In Sweden we pay 150 dollars :|
its not lifetime but dont tell me that you will ever go 8 times with same car I personaly dont allign before i change everything so it is pretty much cheaper,,and for all we have much lower standards than sweden usa canada etc. so its not strange to be like that
It's not 160$ everywhere in Canada, it's apparently 160$ where Milan lives. Where I am (Québec) it's 80$.
TheMrMoric in Hawaii I pay $200
Thanks for sharing! I didnt know about this deal at Firestone. i usually don't like lifetime warranty deals from mechanic shops/dealers/etc. as there is always some catch or they try to get your money some other way or find reasons/excuse to not do this service for you...but may give it a try.
So much corrosion
Canada
Angel Rodriguez Yep. Canada = Snow, salt and rust. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
holy shit. thats fckn ridiculous.. sand it and rhino line it..it makes me nervous
Jeremy DeMoura the salt not the snow
Out of curiosity is it possible to sand blast the rear subframe? I just want to know if there is a limit to what you can and cannot sand blast.
ken souf u can sand blast anything that is metal if u have rust tho it will prob go thru the metals
Can't wait for a updated review on the 240sx!
It costs hadly 5$ in Uzbekistan for all wheels
dont pay for alignment. just wait in line at the border and go to another country.
*Caveat* - if u raise or lower ur suspension, it voids the warranty. so if u got coilovers or any kind of adjustable suspension, buy at ur own risk; they may not honor the warranty out of speculation that u altered ur suspension.
You are the most honest youtube channel. Absolutely genuine!
thanks bro for letting me know about the firestone free ailment
how much is a normal alignment normally up there? Here is $20 per alignment
This was kind of repetitive fluff, that just seems to go on and on with no pizazz

Fyi if you change any suspension parts it can void the alignment contract. If you did don't say anything.
All of the "lifetime alignment" chains around here either won't work on modified suspensions, or they'll constantly try to upsell you on replacing components you don't need to(assuming they can get your car on the rack).

milanmastracci Does that mean that you already checked the timing and it's not off?
Can firestone do custom alignments? Or are you stuck with lifetime alignments with stock specs?
diego87tennis wondering the same thing. Would be awesome if that was the case.
Yeah they can if you tell them to. I told them what to do for the rear of the car and they did exactly that
milanmastracci that is too cool.
When are you getting the bumper back on the 240?
Can u make video how to clean or polish silver..or inox parts on the car like inox roof rails, lineks on the door or over the windows...
What are you going to do about the rear bumper? How come it is always off?
I just put it back on :) I had it off to remove the rust on the back
milanmastracci will there be a video on it ??
Thank you!!
Thanks for the tip!
Can you get your car alignment at any time or is it every 6 months or 6,000 miles?
Any time really. They usually tell you to go every 6 months or so, as a means of just going even if you don't usually bring your car to a shop so you don't wear out your tires prematurely. If I don't mess around with my suspension, I will go twice a year, once before winter, and once right after winter. That way I know I don't kill my summer tires or my winter tires
so much rust on the shocks and bushings
Its a good thing I'm replacing them with coilovers ;)
For the lifetime alignment , does it have to be the same car every time?
Yes. They register one car for the alignment
do coilovers bounce too much or not
Yeah got it for my car at Firestone... Then got a lip kit and their rack isnt capable of doing lowered cars past 2" or so. Super dumb.
Justin Kelly It's not dumb lol. When you choose to modify your car you should understand that there will be special shops you have to go to have your vehicle serviced at times. Hi Milan, seems like the 240 exhaust humming is causing the interior of the car to rattle quite a bit.
That's the motor mounts that are doing that... Its bad in person lol
I got a Lehman for life and quit laying for life
Have they ever denied you for having modified suspension? And do you know if it works at different branches?
Can I use Acura RL brake calipers in my Acura rsx type s any suggestions.??
Dude how! I got aftermarket struts n can't install them because then I void my 3 year unlimited alignment. They tell me that I have to buy their parts and have them do the labor or else i have to pay for a full price alignment! Btw I'm at Discount tires.
Where u get ur front and treat sway bars
Great speaker
Is this only in the U.S
I live about 10 mins away from the Military rd. Location. Might have to get lifetime alignments when I start my e36 build!
No way man!! You're kinda local me to lol
Lol I tried this awhile back at firestone and they denied me. They did not want to give me an alignment because I was modified.
Is it for all your cars?
i think its only for one car
In Uzbekistan it costs only 4-5 bucks lol
Where did you buy your coilovers and cai for the accord?
I got them online. amzn.to/2vwyRg8
We get lifetime on all our cars. We just did it today for my wifes car because she hit a curb. Now needs new wheel as well.
Wow do you plan to get a rear bumper??
Yeah its on the car now.. I was taking care of some exposed metal on the backside of the car
Milan come man its so much corrion focus on that first fix it make it prio 1 its nice car to look like that keep up the good work:)
Oh I know!! I'm going to tackle it when the weather gets a bit colder and I won't be driving this. I can drop and take everything out to clean it up good! :)
That is a lot of Rust. Coming from Cali..
No Firestones in Canada?
Not that do lifetime alignments. I've only seen it in the US
milanmastracci The more I learn. Interesting. I have it on all my rides. It's definitely worth it. Along with the tire rotation, balancing, and other coverage it comes in handy.
Which state?
so why did you have to do the alignment in the U.S.
Firestones locations probably
You should paint the wheels on thr golf bleach white.
2JZ swap the world. Do it Milan!
Got a deal with firestone?
Yeah, I paid $150 when they had a special when it was regularly 199
What state did you come to?
gurbeer athwal Probably New York.
Yeah it was in New York. There is a Firestone on Military Road in Niagara Falls and that is the one that I go to.
so can i change the calippers to a 4piston brakes??
Lol how many times you going to get your wheels aligned?
4000
milanmastracci realistic ?
LOL Probably one more when I get my coilovers, and that's it. After that its just about maintaining that alignment. So then probably every next 6 months/1 year
how to spray my brakes calippers
kenneth willliams buy spray remove wheels spray in 3-4 coats wait for.dry jobs done
ohh k thanks alot
nice car
Thanks buddy!! :)
yh mn awsome videos love them
Damn all that rust
That poor S14
Hiiiiii from the U.S !
do you pay to cross the border?
Yeah a few bucks for the bridge commission
Lol, NA prices though. I payed 25€ for a front and back allignment and 15€ for an oil change in Estonia, the price difference is crazy :D
After that alignment you need to fix w/ever the hell is rattling...that would bug the shit out of me...AND I'm pretty sure most of us know what a lifetime alignment means...no need to explain it 10 times...jeezlouise dude..
I paid $130 with coupon life time alignment at pepboys. you got ripped off 😂😂😂😂😂😂
shits not free if you're still technically having to pay for it. CLICKBAIT
Lol. I can here those horrid mounts
uh ,,, how about replacing those shitty rear shocks
I'm going to get coilovers for it, so the rusted shock bodies and springs will all be replaced!!
Lame. Thought you where doing it in your garage. Going to teach myself each specific alignment knowledge so I can set up my own geometry. That's a lifetime of free alignments.
Hi
Dude , your are more talking and less doing ..... I miss the old you
I do not know you guys but I would not take seriously any advice from someone who drives a car without seeing where it goes when he takes his eyes off the street and focuses on the camera that does not seem the most intelligent thing in the world!
You're right.. Disregard all of the advice I'm giving in this video because I looked at a camera while I was driving. That doesn't sound unreasonable at all
rust bro
Dont you allready have this sort of video for your accord?
What happend at the border? Did they search your car for drugs? :D
Too funny the title never pay for a wheel alignment again bullshit you always have to pay and also you will need to do alignment every time you get tyres or re adjust your suspension setup
LMAO you get a free alignment but you're spending money on gas and putting mileage on your car.
Majority of his audience are from USA. He's showing us a great service. Some of us wouldn't have to drive as far as he had to, alas some of us would. Well worth it.
Spend $140 bucks at local alignment shop vs. Spending $200 once and never having to spend another dollar
