This definitely gives me motivation to do my own pool. This looks absolutely amazing

have you thought of doing a gazebo in that open area to give you a spot to still view the mountain range, provide additional seating/entertainment area in the pool space?

Just stumbled across this playlist of your pool build, would have liked to see the actual pool assembly, however, overall I enjoyed all the videos. If you don't mind, what brand and model is the pool? Really liked the deck and pergola as well. Thanks

Thank you. I really wanted the videos to have more of me actually doing the work but it was 95+ degrees everyday and when I’d try to put my phone on the tripod it would overheat within minutes. Mine is the 18’x33’ Bristol from the pool factory website.

Did you tamp sand under the liner? Those robot vacuums work best with a smooth surface

I did and they do. However, the bottom unfortunately didn’t stay very smooth after adding water. It still does a good job though. I keep it in and let it run daily unless we’re using it.

Thanks. I plan to. Just letting the pool water heat up some before I install that.

Nice deck, but can you sit on the edge of your pool and hang your legs into the pool, or will it damage the pool top ledge. And if so is there a reason you did not make wooden deck match the height of the pool top ledge so that you can sit on the edge of the pool? Newbie and we are starting our pool project in the next month.

It’s kind of difficult to sit along the edge and dip your toes in the pool. I am think of making a couple things to fix that though. There were a few specific reasons I did what I did, but it mostly had to do with the pool location and the future of the pool. I’ll try to get a video out soon explain all that.

@@coltenlewis thanks for the info, and yes it’s not an easy task. But I’m thinking about a fold over ledge that is totally supported by the deck and folds over the edge of the pool that creates a ledge inside the pool to sit on to allow my legs to and feet to dangle in the water, and rest on it when in the pool. Then fold it up to put the pool cover on or replace the liner. Wish me luck!

I have an 18 by 33 semi inground above ground pool .
    Did it myself
I'm definitely gonna build a deck around it like yours. Thanks for the videos man really looks good my question is $$$ on materials.

Thanks! Unless you build bigger than me, yours will be much less. I picked a terrible time when lumber was 2-3 times the cost it is now. I wanna say all the materials for mine was probably around 8-9k. I’d imagine the cost for the same materials around this time would definitely be less than 5k.

@@coltenlewis How do you like that robot? Does that robot do a decent job on the walls? I was looking at the Dolphin Escape, similar price but doesn't advertise wall climbing.

@@timmyd288 I love mine but don’t think one that climbs walls is an absolute necessity. You can just scrub them down with a brush
