@@billygames7107 Glad you got your new PC and it's all running nice! In general Sim games are usually pretty decently optimised and low on hardware requirements. I mean there are some exceptions like the new MSFS2020 which is just a PC killer of a game. 😂

having a problem with truckersmp i have all my promods an dlcs i was playing it before wit no problem.. i got a new laptop yesterday uploaded everything again. ets2 works with all the mods but when i try log into truckersmp it say i am missing 1or more maps.. i have all mods an dlcs.. ever come across this before /any ideas how to fix it
Hey sorry your having this issue. I've never seen or had it myself before. Sounds like maybe a file got lost in the upload; maybe try installing ProMods again? Are you just having trouble connecting to promods or is it same on the normal servers?
@@xxSgtPepper I've fixed it.. it must have had something to do with uploading the files. I used a USB an took them from my old laptop it worked on ets2 but not tmp.. I deleted the hole lot off my new laptop an bought them again works grand now.. thanks anyway 👍

World of Trucks is a completely separate service that adds features to your ETS2 copy. What matters more in this context is how you've purchased and are launching ETS2. Currently, ETS2 (and ATS) can only be purchased via Steam, but if you have a very old copy of the game (eg. bought a physical copy), you may not be running the game off of Steam. You need to find your correct install path for ATS. You must own the game on Steam in order to play TruckersMP. The default directory would look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\American Truck Simulator It is possible your installation directory is slightly different so I'd recommend you search for it in your file explorer to verify it's location. I hope this helps.
Currently TMP is compatible with the version of ETS2 that steam has no betas. Just opt out of all betas download and update. A more in depth guide can be found here: truckersmp.com/knowledge-base/article/26

Sometimes during a "connection broken" event the server will automatically reconnect itself. You can press "Y" to open the chat logs and you will see the red text. Otherwise you must restart the entire application; there is no way around this currently.
when I download it that doesn't happen it just opens an app for it. It gives me the setup.exe file for it then I duble click it then it doesn't say any of this

Hello and Welcome to the TMP community! So unfortunately right now we are experiencing a lower than usual player base in TMP. There are a few reasons why this is; the new SCSMP 1.41 version is up now so in order to play TMP players must downgrade to 1.40, which some people can't/don't want to do. Additionally if a player has used their profile in 1.41 then it will be incompatible with the previous TMP compatible version. The player base should bounce back to normal once TMP supports version 1.41
Easy Peasy! Once TMP is installed it uses it's own seperate .exe to launch into MP You can always just launch the singleplayer game as normal and play ETS2 as you do now Thanks for watching!
You should be okay without the DLC - in case you join a VTC, you can check whether or not they require you to own any of the DLC before you join on their VTC page.

Hey, whenever I join a Server (usually about 1000+ people) I never see any.. I barely see 5-10 in the cities but when I'm driving on the highway, then I only see 1 person every 10 mins. Is there a Trick to find more people? Or a place where usually many ppl are? Thank you
yes generally the hot spot on Sim1 is Calais - Duisberg & the road that goes between them. ProMods Kirkenes Quarry is a good one too way into the north of Scandinavia you can use this map to help: web.truckyapp.com/map/
It's not strictly required(Quick jobs kinda work in MP) but highly recommended to have your own truck. Even further I'd recommend used a loaded profile separate from your main SP to prevent damage from trolls
i just joined the game online and clicked the first online option. Once i started the game...GHOST MODE started flashing. What is this and can i paly a normal game online?
Ghost Mode is just a mode that is enabled when/if you spawn on top of another player to help ensure one of you doesn't get sent to outerspace... Just drive around and ghost mode will automatically disable once your clear of other players/obstacles

Unfortunately this has been the way it is since the beginning of TMP. Unlikely that it will change. There are certain community achievement based paints and things you can use that others will see even if they do not possess the DLC themselves(like the raven paint?)

Hey there - it looks like you've done everything right, but TruckersMP is currently experiencing registration issues. The message on their website, truckersmp.com, says: "Steam API is currently reporting outdated information to our servers, therefore some users can not register in TruckersMP. As the issue is out of our reach, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to resolve the problem." I suggest keeping an eye on their website and Twitter (twitter.com/tmp_support) for further updates, and trying again at a later time.
Yes -- if they also have a TruckersMP account, you can connect to the same server (see around the 4:10 mark in the video) and see each other by heading to the same location on the map. You can also find each other using this live map: web.truckyapp.com/map/

Depends on your specific area and internet connection. If you have a good stable internet connection it should not be an issue. TruckersMP main servers are in France/Germany area I think. I am connecting to these servers from Canada, Ontario with a avg ping of 120ms and I find that to be good to drive with.

That's right. You'll connect to the server once you start driving on the road.
uh for some reason I press Y to open text chat but it doesnt work...
If your connected to a server on TMP it should work; possible it is hidden if you accidently hit the F9 key.

Unforunately the only way to reconnect atm is to restart the entire client. I do not know if TMP has plans to ever change this

How to invite, or get into a game with a friend?? Joining games leads me to a black screen and gets nowhere
it is possible your experiencing a DLC mismatch; or some other type of issue. Maybe try to reinstall the beta version?
When I went into the server all my mods were disabled because it didn't allow me to have them, I don't know what to do.

You can be banned for an offence you commit even days after it happens; if a user records you breaking the rules and reports you.

so long as all the mods and maps are supported by TMP they are usable yes

You do need Steam ETS2 but you do not need the DLC.
You can buy the DLC and use it on TMP but it is not required

Hi do you need your own truck to drive in multiplayer? [I have my own but my friend doesnt and he wants to try it out]
It's not strictly required(Quick jobs kinda work in MP) but highly recommended to have your own truck. Even further I'd recommend used a loaded profile separate from your main SP to prevent damage from trolls
you can use an infinite money mod and just do 1 quick job and it will give you like 500million$ and 200k levels and use that profile for truckersmp

What if I join to truckersmp and I see ghost mode and I don't see people pls help
i just joined the game online and clicked the first online option. Once i started the game...GHOST MODE started flashing. What is this and can i paly a normal game online?
Ghost Mode is just a mode that is enabled when/if you spawn on top of another player to help ensure one of you doesn't get sent to outerspace...
Just drive around and ghost mode will automatically disable once your clear of other players/obstacles

If the email is lost you'll have to contact support to see if there is a way to get it back: truckersmp.com/support

I don't use any mods in TruckersMP as that's not supported. You might be referring to the DLC content I'm using:

I bought some cosmetic DLCs for my trucks but my friends doesn't really see it is this on purpose ? Will there be any changes about it beacause its kinda annoying that i cant really flex with my DLCs xd
Unfortunately this has been the way it is since the beginning of TMP. Unlikely that it will change.
There are certain community achievement based paints and things you can use that others will see even if they do not possess the DLC themselves(like the raven paint?)

you cannot get mods from steam on truckersMP these kind of mods will only work in convoy mode

Hey there - it looks like you've done everything right, but TruckersMP is currently experiencing registration issues. The message on their website, truckersmp.com, says: "Steam API is currently reporting outdated information to our servers, therefore some users can not register in TruckersMP. As the issue is out of our reach, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to resolve the problem."
I suggest keeping an eye on their website and Twitter (twitter.com/tmp_support) for further updates, and trying again at a later time.

Yes -- if they also have a TruckersMP account, you can connect to the same server (see around the 4:10 mark in the video) and see each other by heading to the same location on the map. You can also find each other using this live map: web.truckyapp.com/map/

Ghost Mode is applied to players who first join the server to prevent immediate collision with other players should wear off in 10 - 30 seconds

You can play singleplayer at anytime by launching the game normally (eg. via Steam) rather than starting the game from the TruckersMP launcher.

I don't like that you have to own both games which means I'm getting a game I don't want,using my money and taking up space just to play online
As far as I am aware you don't strictly need both games to install just uncheck the ATS option when starting the installation and you'll be good to go
you don't need to own both games, just uncheck the game you don't have and if it still asks you where the game files are just put something random
Will players from Asia have such a high Ping that it would be unplayable?
Depends on your specific area and internet connection.
If you have a good stable internet connection it should not be an issue. TruckersMP main servers are in France/Germany area I think. I am connecting to these servers from Canada, Ontario with a avg ping of 120ms and I find that to be good to drive with.
