I’m so happy to see Ardarius making an impact I remember he was my 3rd ranked Safety in the 21 class behind Holland and Moehrig I wasn’t surprised that he wasn’t a day 1/2 pick cause of his size and limited athleticism for that size but when he went undrafted I was so happy we scooped him I’d love to see Marcus Williams bounce back cause the looks we could run with the versatility of Washington, Hamilton, Humphrey, and Stephens is exciting
Feel like Ar’Darius allows us to play “position-less” defense in a sense. Almost like a basketball defense that can switch 1-5. Marcus & Eddie seem to lack physicality to roll down to the second level like Kyle & Ar’Darius can. Let’s us disguise coverages better, and maybe that’s why our pressure seemed to connect a bit more.
Thank you for pointing out Ro did a better job of finding the receiver threatening his zone. I tried to tell people he was staring at the QB too much and didn't have his head on a swivel before, but most people didn't want to listen to me. If the pass D builds off this performance, the Ravens could have a pretty balanced team in January.
I just wanna see this defense show up from here on out, aside from the Steelers game because I'm just plain convinced this team is cursed when they play them, but if that defense shows up like this every game, they creame-pying everyone else
Crazy to see what happens when the back half plays coverage 😂. Allows ro to Rome side line to side line clean things up and go down hill, allows the pass rush to get home. Glad to see they’re taking away the deep stuff and making the Steelers check it down and drive down the field. Like the saying goes nothing deep and nothing cheap.
Ardarius won the safety job too, harbaugh confirmed it, the ravens defense actually played like typical raven like football and the whole front looked better and my God adafe oweh had 2.5 sacks!!!! They were all over Russell Wilson and look, think about this, George Pickens and Mike Williams , pat freirmouth, najee Harris none of them hit the end zone ONCE!!!!! This defensive line up better stay put!!!! Couldn't be happier with their performance A++++++
AD in that run fit was beautiful. Great watch and hopefully this defense can turn the corner. If the online can take another step towards improving with the coaching sky is the limit as 8 would say
Hello coach, great video as always! If Roquan can't play on Monday, who do you think would wear the green dot? I would assume that Hamilton, I may be wrong but I don't see any of the other linebackers capable of being in charge of the defense.
I still feel very optimistic about this defense. The numbers are strange and 32 in pass defense is unacceptable obviously, but other stats give context and hope. The Ravens are somehow simultaneously 3rd in sacks and have the best run defense in the league. The game flow situations contributed and the most underrated factor is the quality of opponents was unusually high. Mahomes, Allen and Burrow twice on fire. Winston is a slinger. Gardener with Adams and Bowers was a problem. Baker was balling with his elite wrs healthy. They got a rookie qb, Jaden Daniels on fire. They haven't had a cupcake. Denver came in hot with a rookie qb in play-off position. The fact that they have been so good against the run also makes the coverage busts that much more glaring and alarming, but they also lead the league in dropping interceptions. The potential of last year's defense is still there imo, they just need to stack games like last week.
Steelers' fan here. Insightful film review. Steelers did not adjust well to the Ravens defense during the first half. The "push off." It appeared to me Wilson still had the ball in his hand when Pickens pushed Hamilton before turning around to receive Wilson's pass. If the player push happens before the QB throws a pass, is it still a push off?
Good question, but then again what else is new when it comes to the ravens getting a call?? They leading the league in penalties too, no surprise here..... The refs hate them much like the rest of the league lol
So what was it? The X's and O's or the jimmies & joes? Both? The steelers offense looked pretty limited, was that us or them or both? Who gets the green dot if Roquan can't go? Ardarius Washington reminds me of Bob ??? who helped blow up our superbowl run in 2006 against Peyton Manning and the team formerly known as the BALTIMORE Colts! Yes l still hold a grudge lol. Go Ravens!
Absolutely not, they still scored 18 pts worth of field goals and by the end of the game they gave up a ton of yardage. If that offense wasn’t the Steelers they would’ve had their way with us again.
Yes it has for sure turned the corner.... They finally had a game without eddie Jackson and Marcus Williams, and here look it, the defense actually played like typical raven like football, roquan looked back to normal, the defensive front was all over Russell Wilson because guess what?! Roquan Smith didnt have to stress worrying about poor safety play... That allowed thd defensive front to eat them up, they never touched the endzone on 6 red zone drives... 4 of them were short fields too due to turnovers and 2 justin tucker misses

Great points. I agree.
I’m so excited about Tavius Robinson he does a lot of little things well for a young player
Agree. Good point. He kind of surprised me on Sunday, he won at the POA against multiple blockers. Very impressive.

I'm seeing a 5-1 record to close out the regular season, 4-2 worst as long as that defense stays put and replicates it

Pass rush was great!! Ardarius stepped up big time ✅

Definitely an improvement. Very concerned about roquan being out tho. After he got injured we couldn’t stop the steelers
Washington and Hamilton are both excellent tacklers in coverage.💪🏿
We got us some founding fathers at safety lol
I agree they both tackle extremely well!!!

Great work coach!
Great look, coach! Thank you! This gives me hope for the defense going forward!

What’s that intro beat All 22??

If to still put vs the chargers I think they will play a lot of big nickel leaving kham to Rome the middle
How can I get involved in discord ?
I like the adjustment. But I don’t like Hamilton as deep safety. He makes too many plays near the line and in the nickel as a prowler

Hope it's KVN, who's also good at sniffing out plays.

Hamilton an Washington communication is much better back there they read and react better than Marcus an Eddie !!!
By magnitudes.
