New Wonder II: The tone holes for the left hand palm keys are on the SIDE of the horn. New Wonder I they are on top.

as always helpful useful and informative my man thanks! you said in your Handcraft Sop video if you had one sop it would be the Martin and if you could have 2 sopranos only, the HC and a NWII.. Why the Martin over the NWII and which is better/worse/more economical from your perspective to work on? (I know there are a lot of variables in condition so lets assume equal, non-abused needing an overhaul)
I played and loved a Handcraft with a pretty shoddy overhaul so it would have needed to go back to the shop. but it was haunting and it slipped through my fingers. But I have a chance to get a nicer NWII for not too much bread (still expecting to have to give it an OH) and I'm not sure if I want to wait for another HC to appear or if I should spring for the NWII. Had and decent first-lacquer NWII tenor for a minute but it didn't love it enough to want to overhaul it (it had a patchy repair history at best so I took a small loss and passed it on). I got a Comm II instead which is much easier to play in-tune than the NWII was but I still kind of miss how the Conn sounded and played even though it needed a full overhaul.

Thanks! With very rare exception, I only do overviews of horns I have overhauled, and I have not been asked to overhaul a Taiwanese horn.

Thank you. This was helpful. I have a question. I'm looking at a 1924 C.G Conn Sop. I was hoping you could tell me what they'relike and how good/bad they are. Cheers

Matt, love the videos and I watch them often! I have a '28 New Wonder II soprano that I am rebuilding. The case is original and pristine along with the original accessories. I wanted to put everything back original, but am running into 2 issues. The first is that not all sizes of the Res-o-Pads needed on the horn are available in reproduction and I am not sure what is a viable alternative. The second is that I am concerned of really having to 'dig' into the pristine satin silver finish. What would you suggest? *It has had an ultrasonic cleaning and is mechanically sound*

I wonder why it comes with a jeweler's screwdriver.
