In 1979, when I was 11 years old, my Tata and I were at a department store on Queensway in London and this song was being played by the music department. I had to find out what it was and my dad bought me the record that day.
Today, 43 years later, I came across it in the record collection my dad left behind when he died recently.
It's a big record that plays at 45rmp with an orange label. The sleeve is plain black with a small red sticker on it that says AZYMUTH Jazz Carnival c/w Fly Over the Horizon, released by RCA.
Thank you for the sentimental memories of spending time with my dad when we briefly lived in London's Bayswater district, just off Queensway at 23 Kensington Gardens Square. And thank you Tata for buying it for me.

Ironic how Oldham Rd, Tibb St, Shudehil, Manchester used to be one of my favourite hangouts as a kid for the junk, used goods and memorabilia shops. I had no Idea the BoW club was a stones throw from my hangouts. I missed all the greats then turning out on my Cheetham hill doorstep as I grew into a Jazz-funk aficionado in the 80s, and continue to do so now that I live in Southern England 🙁

mark g Yeah, back in the golden age of Capital, some presenters would have a theme tune or a particular music bed they would talk over. This was Aspel’s. There’s mention of it here forums.digitalspy.com/discussion/2013429/classic-radio-themes/p2 but I can’t find a recorded example unfortunately.

These guys are just too cool! Their music is just untouched and live it sounds like the vinyl version. I have always loved jazz fusion......it's just so interesting with so many layers of sounds and instruments! I grew up with their music.
