- The Final Episode of this amazingly fun Driveway Construction and Home Site Prep Project!!!
This project was completed using a 2022 Cat 309cr excavator, 2022 Cat 289d3 skidsteer, 2019 Ford F750 single axle dump truck, 1995 Mack Rd688s triaxle dump truck, and a Fecon fmx36 forestry mulching attachment.

Just as you was concluding this video I said to myself “man he makes operating the excavator look so easy” figured that was my treat in watching this video, but then my favorite part was the ending. Thank you for sharing those wise words with us. I began watching your videos in hopes to pick up pointers as a novice DIY and really become to be a fan over the years. Thank you for going out of your way to make these videos for us.

I watched when you were digging the ditches for the pipe work, like you say it was a bit of a pain. Nice though to see you finishing off and putting everything back how it should be. 👍🤗 I am though a bit jealous of your digger, I feel I need one but have absolutely no use or space for one!🤣

It always amazes me how that thing is like an extension of your arm when you use it. I always think that you are going to have to get out to move something because it is too close to something else or too delicate and you just easily move it with the bucket.

Hey brother im a contractor and machine operator i drive a weeldigger we160e volvo. And from a operator to a nother you should try your machine with rotortilt it makes it in to a Swiss army knife 😉the tiltat achment is good but A ROTORTILT IS 50%BETTER 😉YOU DONT NEED TO MOVE AS MUCH YOUR NOT tearing up the ground AS MUCH...I like your channel you do a great job 👍👍😉

309 vs the yanmar. I would love to buy one but too expensive for personal use. BUT a yanmar vio55 may be in reach. would that be big enough for these jobs? Thoughts?
55 would do all you need. You could dig a daylight basement (might take awhile 😅), set septic tanks, trench in utilities, light clearing and grading, etc. What you need to think about is getting a cheaper larger mini so you can also afford some type of skid steer/tractor to move spoils, fill, gravel, pallets, etc.
@@alsaku33 Thankyou for that. I have a 50hp front loader mahindra tractor, not as good as a skid steer but will work.

A 55 would work fine until you started moving larger stone or trees

Good work Todd I've been meaning to ask you something about your excavator. Is there something wrong with the hydraulic or your controls? Because there's a lot of jerking motion.
It’s a newer excavator and the controls are set faster so he’s probably still just getting used to them.
