I've watched this video quite a few times by now and I really love how well it represents old-school Klaus. You know, the powerful, charismatic and selfish part of him. The original.
i miss tvd!klaus so much,he was truly a complex,layered,intense,fascinating character,but the originals degraded him to such a one dimensional,whiny version,it's irritating to say the least how much they've ruined a once great character,one of the best and most well developed in tvd,this much.
+howeverlongs I actually have to disagree with that. I think The Originals made Klaus far more complex as a characte, especially in his ability to change, deepening how his past shaped him and his relationships with his siblings and Marcel. But that being said, I also think it has made him seem less threatening and like an ancient inhuman vampire. I still think he's a badass, but he doesn't seem like the indomintable, hyper-intelligent, superhuman dark force anymore that he did early on in TVD. Nor does he epitomise the "I'm above it all and I don't give a fuck" Klaus from early TO anymore. They've humanised him greatly, which I think is both why he's become a more interesting and complex character but also why he doesn't seem like something distinctly inhuman and invincible anymore (aka how the originals came across to me in early TVD and he was the most fearsome of them).
