YOUR PARENTS ARE SO CUTE. This made me tear up because I feel like we never realize everything our parents do until we’re adults. Also, the music choices destroyed my emotions in the best way.
Your partner wanting you to be close to your parents and knowing how much you cherish them and actively doing things to help that is so sweet and important. I’m glad you have someone like that in your life, Michelle 💕
The way that both your parents just like, look at you and silently express how proud they are of you and how happy you make them by being you makes me so happy.
I cried so much watching this! This is what I want for my parents, to be able to give them experiences! I wish you a life full of health and prosperity so you can retire your parents! You’re such a great daughter 🥺
i think i cried the whole time while watching this one. it's crazy cause of course i don't know you personally, but i've been watching you since you were in college. so to see you being able to do things you've always wanted to, taking care of your parents, buying a car, accomplishing new things... everything makes me really happy for you. fly high, meesh, you deserve it all, truly.
Your dad is just like most Asian dad, quiet and hardworking, sacrificed a lot for the family. I can’t hold my tears back bc it really reminded me of my dad.
As a child of Korean immigrants myself, I did not realize how much my parents sacrificed for my sisters and I. I’m 35 and have a successful career, travel regularly, and have a life that I truly love. I now understand what my parents have done for us and I am forever grateful. My sisters and I have essentially retired my mom and dad last year and take them on annual vacations. It is not much for what they’ve done but it’s the least we could do. In a few days the entire family is going on a ski trip to Whistler and my parents cannot wait! It makes me so happy that we can treat them this way and take them on new experiences. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your life with your family. Your mom and dad are very blessed to have you as their daughter. Sending you and your family lots of love and light in this new year ❤
As a Palestinian growing up with a full circle of challenging life, I got so emotional watching this video with your parents and watching your progress through the years. Wishing you comfort and peace
growing up seeing your immigrant parents work and work for your prosperity is a feeling that just can’t be explained - this video was so heartfelt and reminded me so much of my parents. thank you for sharing Michelle ❤
The first part of this video had me crying, especially when your dad said he’s got a taste of retirement 😭. The love and warmth between your family can be felt through the camera 🥰. The second part of the video made me so happy for you!! Hope it’s everything you’re looking for ❤
i’m sobbing and i’m only 2 minutes in! seeing how hard your parents work, and your desire to retire them for the past 6+ years was so heart touching. as a child of immigrant parents myself, i relate to that immensely and seeing your parents enjoy a meal with you in nyc, and overall just enjoying their time, is heart touching. wishing happiness, good health and prosperity to you and your family
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO EVER!! 😭 It made me cry so hard. Especially when your dad mentioned he's tasted retirement, the first scene in this video brought tears to my eyes. The video reflects the warmth and love that exists between your parents. Thank you so much for allowing us to share to journey. 🤍 and I can’t wait to witness your growth and healing journey. 🥹
The most valuable thing a human can have are the memories and time spent together. My father passed away when I was 27 years old, a year after my wedding. It's been 18 years now and it still breaks my heart. I miss him so much. My parents owned a drycleaners and worked the same hours as your parents. I am very grateful for their sacrifice because it was hard immigrating to a new country to start over. My mom retired 10 years ago, what a wonderful decision. She is 82 now and thankfully healthy. I promised my dad before he passed away to not worry about mom. My mom lives with us and she is happy. --- As I am getting older, material things are no longer important. Money cannot replace people. Life is too short and you never know what tomorrow will bring. Thank you for sharing this video because it makes me happy to see your parents enjoying every second of their trip. Applause to you (and Blurry Salsa Man - he's a keeper)!
I had to pause a few times to catch myself from crying, your parents are so sweet and hardworking and I see where you get it from! I am so happy to be part of the community you have built and I hope to see your parents having the ability to retire this year! Love you Michelle and don’t forget to take your time ❤
I'm also living far away from my hometown. I've never once cried when my parent say goodbye to me when I go to another city, but when I say goodbye to them after they come and visit me, it brings tears to my eyes. Can't wait for the Lunar New Year to go back home
My dad passed away a year ago and I couldn't do this , I regret it so much. I want to retire my mom at least as soon as possible. My parents too had a similar relationship dynamic like yours. Seeing your parents and your family happy like this really had me teared up because I know how meaningful this is! Much love and an entire world's lucks and blessings to you Michelle ♥
I was really touched when you talked about your dad because he's really similar to my dad. My dad was a hard worker and he would never take vacation and never took a flight with just my mom too. My dad passed away 2 years ago and I miss him everyday. Seeing your dad being able to rest and spend time with you makes me so happy.
behind the camera, capturing all the lovely moments- is the most supportive man of yours, michelle. Lovely. This is also my prayer for my mama and papa, to give them a good life after all their sacrifices❤
how u bring your parents our of their shells..amazing. i can see how your mom is now such a natural in front of the camera compared to her first few appearances! Your dad is so precious... both of them are. Congrats on the porsche. U worked so hard fr everything and deserves it.
Okay, I never comment on videos, but I just had to say that the bit with your parents was the most beautiful thing I’ve seen in a while. It made me cry. The love you have for your parents is so evident it was beautiful and touching to be able to witness it.
Michelle🩷 your parents are so lovely! Every time I see them on your video I can’t help crying 😭 I don’t know ..that kind of videos are so heartwarming 🩷 God bless you all 🙏🏻
The first part with your parents was so beautiful. Made me miss my dad so much and wish that I had started vlogging sooner before he passed a couple years ago so that I would have had footage like this to look back on. Such beautiful moments. You’ll treasure this forever ♥️
Michelle this really hit close to home and pulled on all my heartstrings. It's crazy how similar our experiences are!! My parents also immigrated almost 30 years ago and have worked tirelessly at their dry cleaning business. My dad has not been on a proper vacation since coming to the US to support my family and so this really gives me hope to be able to do something like this for them in the future. I love your videos - you are truly inspiring!
I just got basically disowned by my own parents over the holidays, for literally wanting to just have casual chit-chats with them... seeing this makes me feel warm again. Thank you Michelle!
Not Michelle making me cry on the way to work....This is amazing. Your love letter to your parents is so beautiful. Congratulations on the new car, so proud!
I normally like to speed up when I watch most videos on TH-cam. But saw the title before I clicked in and watched listened ever words when you talked about your parents. It’s the love even I could feel between you and your parents. ❤
So, we all got our anxiety from our dads, huh? Thanks for such a wholesome vlog, Michelle. I am so far away from my parents and this made me tear up. Sending you and the fam lots of good vibes and well wishes for the new year :)
I am Korean immigrant mom with a 9 year old daughter. Must say Michelle’s video makes me think a lot. I just hope that my daughter will find her happiness and have an independent life in US like Michelle, but today, I can‘t help but think of my hard working husband while listening to Michelle’s father‘s 7days work week. Truly hope that Michelle's family who are grateful to each other will resemble our future.❤
this made me cry! the relationship you and have with your family is beautiful and its so sweet how much you want to give back to them and you clearly appreciate them and know them inside out. the way your boyfriend treats them is so lovely too.
As someone whose parents live on a different continent as well, this made me so emotional. It's such a big moment for us when we are able to share our "adult" life and accomplishments and experiences with the people that we hope are proud of us the most. From little cooking moments, to just feeling like you are protected as a child again by the people most familiar to you - priceless. I am happy they had a great time with you and really enjoy your vlogs. They give me comfort.
This video touched me and made me cry🥺 because it's beautiful to see how two people can stay together in a relationship, work hard and raise such a great kid like you Michelle. I have not been lucky enough to have parents like that and that is why this is absolutely beautiful for me to see. It's a blessing to have a family like yours. I wish you all the best for the new year.💕
Im literally crying while watching this vlog. That’s my ulitimate dream. Take my parents out of the country or out of town and treat them on a vacation. Take them to a nice dinner, shop for them, make them happy. Thanks Michelle Choi for reminding us that our parents’ happiness should be prioritized. Happy Holidays. And may God bless you even more.
I'm close to “retiring” my mami. I still won't be able to give her the comfortable life that she deserves, but she'll choose between stopping to work or only working when she wants to have extra money. I'll pay her exactly what she earn today to live. I'm so excited about this, I can't wait until my next promotion. I'm currently not rich, I don't have my own house, but I have a comfortable life, I can pay all my bills and save for the future, even though earning more would be more financial security for me, I prefer to give that to her as soon as possible. It's my way of saying thank you for all the little and big things she's done for me! I'm so happy for you, Michelle. You inspired me a lot.
Thank you for sharing a vulnerable and intimate piece of your life with us. Your parents are so sweet and your appreciation towards them is so precious. Seeing their interactions with each other and with you in this video made me cry. It’s so special! ♥️🙏🏽
I knew I would be in tears watching this video. I’m living aboard and I’m missing my parents so much so this hit close to home. And I also miss nyc at time so it’s just nice seeing it all in one place. So happy your dad got to travel and take a break from working so much. Truly, well deserved. ❤
So proud of you Michelle! The way you care for and love your parents like this is so wonderful. As a fellow K-American and a child of immigrants, I totally get what you are feeling and going through. And you are wonderful. Keep being their beacon of light but also make sure you care for yourself as well. They want that for you so do keep that in mind, always.
i had the biggest smile on my face throughout this entire video, even got a little emotional ngl. your parents are so cute!!! it was so sweet hearing the way that you were talking about them. im sure that they're so proud to have you as their daughter and i hope that your wish to retire them comes true this new year. thats any child's dream for their parents. sending you and your family all the best and may your parents always remain happy and healthy!!
The first part of the video with your parents made me emotional. My dad passed away unexpectedly a few years ago and I am still mourning all the things we did not get to do together. It makes me happy that you are honoring your parents and giving them your all, as they have done for you your whole life. These moments are precious and really all that matters at the end. ♥
I completely resonate with wanting to take care of our immigrant parents! My dad also has been working nonstop and doesn't know how to rest, but I loved seeing your parents spending time with you in the big city and so glad papa choi got to take a few moments with his daughter 🥹🥹
This is my favourite video on the internet today. So relatable. It’s every working class’ child’ dream to take their parents on a vacation once. Loved this one. Heartfelt.
This is what it’s all about ❤️ especially for us Asian kids whose parents sacrificed so much just for us to have a better life. Love seeing you give back to your parents! 🫰🏼😭
Michelle! You have touched many people as is evidenced from the comments, with your beautiful display of the relationship with your parents. I know since your video when you took your Mom to Korea, I also have felt so sentimental watching your videos with your parents. And this one I cried throughout this video. It has helped me to appreciate the value of family even more, and especially helped me to understand how precious time is. It is clear you have a genuine, unique and precious love for them and its a beautiful thing to capture and share how much you want to give back to the people who raised you. It encourages us all in the most gentle way, to value our own parents and for this I truly thank you.
Oooooh will this become the Living Together Diaries?? I love everything in this video. I will repeat what everyone is sharing, I'm just so inspired by the way you treat your parents and so glad you can spend quality time with them, it's so precious and just makes me want to plan my next trip with my mom. Happy new year !
I couldn't stop smiling, got a little emotional at around 6:57 :") this was so beautiful to watch, Michelle. it's always beautiful to see child-parent relationships in such contexts i.e. long-distance visits, trips, and the like :) thank u for sharing this piece of your life with us. it has brought us so much joy & warmth sending you + yours love & blessings for the new year. keep posting these gems & more. you go girl!
Mi, this video touched me. I lost my father figure three months ago, and I think about him all the time. When you were talking about your father, I got very emotional and also happy. He reminds me a lot of my own. Thank you so much for this video.
teared up so many times through out the video---- reminded me my parents who also have not taken a break in all my 27 years---- I hope I can do the same for them like you- It was suvh a warmmmm hug to watch and melt down like a puppy. Thank You Michelle- You are a queennnnn
This video was so sweet and reminded me a lot of my relationship with my dad. He's the most hardworking guy I know and never really took a vacation until he retired. I wish I could give him the world because the world would not be enough.
less than 3 mins into this video and im about to cry?? you whole family, yourself included, deserve all the best life has to offer. im honored to have played the smallest part in supporting your journey. also if your mom starts a channel i wish smash that subscribe button so quick lol God bless you and your family 💛
the amount of crying this video made me do is crazy, I even rewatched the first portion where you're with your parents and this is so precious! thank you for your comfort content, Michelle
I love how you talk about your parents, in all the videos you mention them I can feel the wholehearted love and appreciation and gratitude and joy…it’s oddly calming? And I watch with a huge smile on my face as someone who can relate to some of the things you say. Happy new year, wishing you and your family a glorious year🫶🏾🤍 (Blurry salsa man did amazing w/ the filming! So natural and so ur vibe)
I’m crying happy tears for Michelle 😢 the first part with your parents were very heart whelming ❤️ then the news about the moving in with blurry salsa man. Here is to another year of happiness and growth
Watching blurry salsa man capture all those precious moments you had with your family makes my heart swell. i hope i can find someone like him too. And i'm so happy for you michelle, you both deserve each other!
I stay away from social media and commenting. I watch videos but never get involved. However, I have enjoyed watching yours and can relate on multiple levels. This is my first time EVER commenting. I love how you want to take care of your parents and give back to them for all they have done for you. Mine are in their 80's and I fly every 4-5 weeks to stay a couple of days with them. Same situation as your family. Immigrants from Korea. I was born in Seoul. My parents gave up so much for a life in America. You're a great daughter. You will forever be happy with how you loved and took care of your parents. Great job Michelle!
Not me trying not to ugly cry during this video 😭 my parents are getting older and I live on the other side of the US so any time I get to spend with them is so precious. They finally came to visit me (hard because my mom can’t fly so they drove 30+ hours) and it reminded me a lot of your time with your parents. Love through sharing food ♥️
My dad is very sick and I am unable to take him anywhere, this makes me so emotional. My dad sounds just like your dad in every way. We were supposed to go to Mecca this year but his sickness got worse. I am so happy that you are able to spend time with your parents.
I watched this entire vlog teary eyed. Being a daughter to immigrant Indian parents, I completely empathize with your wish to retire your parents as soon as you can. I’ve been following you for over three years now but my respect for you has increased so much as a daughter. Such an immensely beautiful vlog. Thank you, Michelle, for inspiring me, please do keep making these videos. ❤️
just had to pause the video to say you’re so relatable, michelle! one of my main goals in life is to be able to give my parents experiences they havent had before and eventually to make them retire early. thank you for sharing these special moments with us! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
i love that blurry salsa man captured your beautiful moments with your family and left room for you to spend time with your parents. that is relationships goals right there
Great vlog! Can't help but shed tears! So thankful you got to spend so much time with your family! And kudos to Blurry Salsa Man for helping to document! I'm excited for you all and pray you have an amazing 2024!❤
The blurry salsaman is "just like a wow" made an effort to film your memorable moments with your parents and enjoying your smile while being around parents is wholesome .i hope you never miss this kind of human ,praying and hoping you to be a happy couple in future.✌
YOUR PARENTS ARE SO CUTE. This made me tear up because I feel like we never realize everything our parents do until we’re adults. Also, the music choices destroyed my emotions in the best way.

Your dad is just like most Asian dad, quiet and hardworking, sacrificed a lot for the family. I can’t hold my tears back bc it really reminded me of my dad.
I love how in the beginning, your dad seemed to have a straight face and as time went on, he softened up and smiled so much. :)

What a lovely Daughter you are to your parents ! Your Dad seems like an amazing hard working guy. Made me tear up 🥲
Thank you for sharing a vulnerable and intimate piece of your life with us.
Your parents are adorable.
Congratulations 🍾 on your new changes in 2024. ❤
I feel so happy for you, Michelle. Whether it is the relationship between you and your parents or the one with blurry man, you so deserve each other.
you are beyond blessed!! Omg and congrats! Living alone diaries is on to a huge new chapter!!
I cried. So touched by how you bond with you and your parents🥹
성실하게 누구보다 열심히 그 자리를 지키시느라 28년이란 시간이 지났나 봅니다.
두분다 너무 행복하고 신나보여요 ㅎㅎ❤
새해 복 많이 받아요 미쉘❤
I completely resonate with wanting to take care of our immigrant parents! My dad also has been working nonstop and doesn't know how to rest, but I loved seeing your parents spending time with you in the big city and so glad papa choi got to take a few moments with his daughter 🥹🥹
This is my favourite video on the internet today. So relatable. It’s every working class’ child’ dream to take their parents on a vacation once. Loved this one. Heartfelt.
This really made me miss my mama!🥺 Our parents can really be hard on themselves!
I pray your parents live VERY HEALTHY LONG YEARS!❤️❤️❤️
This is what it’s all about ❤️ especially for us Asian kids whose parents sacrificed so much just for us to have a better life.

I'm so proud of you especially what you have done for your parents thinking they're not getting any younger anymore. We love you, Meessh!! ❤
Mi, this video touched me. I lost my father figure three months ago, and I think about him all the time. When you were talking about your father, I got very emotional and also happy. He reminds me a lot of my own. Thank you so much for this video.

This video was so sweet and reminded me a lot of my relationship with my dad. He's the most hardworking guy I know and never really took a vacation until he retired. I wish I could give him the world because the world would not be enough.

Watching blurry salsa man capture all those precious moments you had with your family makes my heart swell. i hope i can find someone like him too. And i'm so happy for you michelle, you both deserve each other!
Living alone series will come to an end. What a journey it has been! You’re such an inspiration, Michelle! Always in all ways 🥺🥺💯💯❤️🩹❤️🩹
The way you talk about your parents and the whole video is just so wholesome🥲🥲🥲 you guys deserve everything
