Thank you so very much for the kind words on the video! A lot of work goes into these videos so people like you can enjoy them. Appreciate the kind words!
Its a neat area, with so much to offer! I need to get back out there, and soon. I want to capture the ELS, WSOR, more CN, and all of their locals running out that way. Thanks for the comment, and watching!
Canadian National is such an interesting railroad with their roster of eclectic power but God almighty they can really make a mess of things if you give them a chance. I can't believe they tore out the tracks completely at the Soo Line car shops.
Great video. I was just up in Fond du Lac. I wish there was a park or trail or something by the tracks as it’s hard to sit in one spot and watch trains in/around Fondy. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.
If you ever make back to central Wisconsin check out Wisconsin Rapids there is wye just north of the yard sometimes the CN the will turn the lead locomotive around on the wye to long hood forward to lead the train on the Whitehall Sub if the second unit do not have PTC so the lead locomotive can lead thru normally back to Wisconsin Rapids. Another factor is that the Whitehall Sub doesn't have any PTC at all, and every other sub division around it has PTC
As a French Canadian, your pronunciation of ''Fond du lac'' is pretty good ;) Anyways, I loved your video Douglas! A lot of actions with great locomovites along the way.
Yeah, thank you for the video I enjoyed the history and seeing the round house telling you that's pretty cool.So you're gonna get a new rough means? It's gonna be in service for a little while longer.Keep up the great work.My friend I like these kind of videos.
I live near CN stevens point. They have so much activity over there. I love looking at the graffiti over there. I got like over 1000 of train graff between CN Stevens Point, WSOR/UP Janesville, and a few other places.
I'm originally from Barron County in Wisconsin, but I don't get over there that often now, plus I have never been in these areas to railfan, but you sure are making me want to.. at least would photograph some different color units other then CPKC and BNSF
The L516 or the L517 services New Richmond WI and drops off auto racks the 516 also services boyceville wi for the grain plant there to (I used to live in boyceville and currently work at new Richmond’s autoport unloading auto racks )
I've lived mostly on the east coast and now the south for my entire life, but could someone tell me why CN has IC reporting marks and DM&I reporting marks on their engines but painted like normal CN?
As a Wisconsinite Oshkosh is in the Fox Valley/ Fox Cities not considered Central Wisconsin. Plover is central WI. Also I wish these were presented in more laymens terms, I have no idea what some of things said about locomotives mean.
@@TheMW2informer More on those areas in three near future! What items are you seeking to be explained in layman's terms? Appreciate the comment, and feedback!
@@SD457500 the old GT scheme, when did those start being phased out/ why are they rare to see nowadays? I see them a lot in Stevens Point and WI Rapids. Enjoyed the video.
I quite honestly have never seen such great quality of video. It is cinematic baby!!

The traffic was a lot lower during the old Soo line days. There was a lot of traffic during the WC, but the trains were generally really short
Excellent presentation!
It is always enjoyable to see the variety around Wisconsin.

Agreed; those GP38-2s are getting up there in age, but they keep going and going! Thanks for watching!

@TheMW2informer GTW was absorbed by the CN in the mid 1990s. Ever since then, they've been slowly going away.
Yo this is my line I’m farther down but it connects to mine
Thoes so tunnel motors still alive
Those ones are! A couple of them are also going strong on the former Missabe too. Thanks for the comment, and watching!
