      Well so far (early days) I'd recommend a Sandero simply because they seem built fine and are cheap, a new sandero is still cheaper than a Ford or VW that are a few years old.

    Great video, car looks great overall, and your gear set up is very similar to what i have in a car, all i would add is a unopened bottle of water or drink but that's about it.
    Great tip about the air recycling.

      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers, yeah if I am out I normally have a bottle in the car, but I'd probably buy a canteen specifically for the car (Or just use one of my other canteens laying around) that way it's a bit more durable than a plastic bottle.

    "Why's the steering wheel on the wrong side?"
    In all seriousness, I keep a GP-5, a Gerber machete, basic toolkit, two weeks supply of medications, jumper cables, and a medical bag in my Escape.
    Are crowbars illegal yet? They are very useful, and the big ones are great for warding off Meth heads in parking lots.
    Edit: I also keep a weeks worth of ramen noodles and soda in the car. Not healthy, but it'll keep me alive.

      I would not want to be caught with a crowbar in my car in the UK.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apparently they do, it's fine to leave on most of the time but I don't like it at busy roundabouts as it makes pulling away take a bit longer, eco mode seems only useful for city driving, actually makes fuel economy worse for varying speeds on open roads.
      I don't really drive how the cut off is meant to work, it happens if you are in neutral for a 20 seconds or so when on, but I normally put the car into 1st and keep the clutch depressed when waiting to pull away unless it's traffic lights that I know are slow to change.

    I too have an old car that I should probably change. I've had it since 2005 where it had 20K miles. It now has over 160k and it's still going strong. My problem is that I now do a good 20K miles per year so the depreciation on a new car would make it pointless. And I love my old Leon Cupra.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really boils down to what's cheaper in the long run, my Golf was costing me well over £1000 each year so it was really getting silly to keep driving.

    That was the air filter for the engine. Plus it might be Romanian but there just a Renault clio.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      As said in the video, the Dacia's used to be licensed built Renaults, the Sandero is basically a tarted up Clio 3 with modern parts in it, but this model is about £6k cheaper than getting the equivalent clio.

    What's the problem with the gti?

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Old cars have parts wear out, and they become a false economy.

    • @BlackBladeDesign
      @BlackBladeDesign 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Weaponsandstuff93 all cars have parts wear out, some more than others though. Older cars have also already depreciated in value. I suppose a gti isn't so overproduced that parts cost next to nothing, however.

    Nice ride. I owned nothing but sticks until I bought my Challenger 4 years ago. I know its almost sacrilege to drive a muscle car that's an automatic, but I just got tired of that shit. Maybe my next one will be manual. Drive safe M8./Mike

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers, automatics make a lot more sense in the States with the bigger roads, over here everything is so cramped it makes sense to buy the cheaper manual cars, they cost less to have repaired and generally are better with fuel consumption (if you are a better driver), some people do drive automatics here but those are people who are generally too lazy to work out how gear ratios work.
      My Granddad drives an automatic now but that's mostly because he's in his 90s and it's just easier.

      @@Weaponsandstuff93 and can I ask your thoughts on the 1.2 petrol or the 1.5 diesil ,just because looking it seems to be a cheaper option. Stat wise ,and does it make a real big difference. My family and I dont really get much into cars and basically the thought is an engine is an engine and the websites dont make it easy to get figures on them if I'm being honest especially if you dont have a clue.

    In case of emergency, wouldn't it be better to have some kind of panoramic mask in the car, rather than the Avon? In case you needed to drive.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can drive fine with almost any mask, as I've covered in my videos on panoramic masks, the field of view is not really much bigger than a two eye mask.

    Looks pretty well equipped and easy to service. I hear these things have racked up hundreds of thousands of miles as taxis in Europe with 0 problems.
    If anything does go wrong a local garage won't have any problem fixing it either. Most garages refuse to work on modern german cars now.

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's also lots of dodgy stuff in the modern German cars, such as more computer controls on everything that only the dealers can fix for a massively inflated bill, basically all I want is a car that is very cheap to run and fairly reliable, so far I've done about 200 miles in this Dacia and no issues yet.

      @@Weaponsandstuff93 would be great if the car insurance laws in this country wernt as messed up. Here the older and cheaper the car the more expensive the insurance. Makes it impossible to drive some great 2nd hand bargins and trapps people into buying new cars. None the less dacia great cars.

  • @mihaitoma4144
    @mihaitoma4144 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    what a coincidence, i wanted to ask about a romanian gas mask. no idea which model it is, i know its a copy of the german m65 and as far as i know they copied the STANAG thread as well so it doesn't work with GOST filters, and i heard that there is an actual variance in thread pitch is enough to allow for imperfect sealing when using a NATO filter. also it was put away in a plastic bag and pretty deep into a junk pile in a closet.
    my 2 questions are:
    how much tough love can a gas mask take when cleaning?
    if you have any previous experience with romanian gas masks, can it even take a filter properly? and if yes, which filter?

    • @Weaponsandstuff93
      @Weaponsandstuff93  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Firstly no idea if they are STANAG or GOST, I don't have any Romanian masks so I cannot check the filter threads or intake threads.
      You can generally clean a mask quite hard assuming it's not a cloth mask.
