I’m amazed how much you keep these recipes coming! Ok now I’m definitely doing this one! I’m giving my gone B ex-tree good and south Louisiana bayou girl regular folks approved stamp of approval! I cook lots of all these recipes and am always happy with outcome! Thank you and be blessed!
Imma be doing fried green tomatoes here in a day or so. I'm going to put together a quick Creole Remoulade sauce to complement. Gonna need your expert opinion on that sauce.
Oh boy. I don’t know how to make pork & beans. This is terrific! Thanks for this, Jason. BTW, do you make a non-sweet chow-chow? If you do, I’d sure love to see what your take on it is. I currently have some leftover creole hamburger soup from your recipe in the fridge. It’s become a weekly staple at the Moonshine home.
Yey, i can make up a nice spicy chow chow that isn't sweet. Most people just put too much dern sugar in it to cut the acidity. The acidity cut can be achieved with a little baking soda instead of gobs of sugar. I'd still want a touch of sugar in there, however. I'll make a batch if my cousin brings me some green maters and some cayenne's he has planted. I dont have any vegetable plants out this year and his aint doing to good. Been real dry.
Looks great.
My go to is a pot of thick pinto beans, my favorite pulled pork and a slab of cornbread!
Oh yey. And white beans with a green onion and some cornbread.
