Grew up with vale and really did not like marc till 2020. Yes vale made a mistake himself 2015 by pushing out marc with his leg. I think everyone if in marcs position after that would have no problem with lorenzo passing as a championship contender but feel a bit of giving it back by fighting back hard against vale.
I will be a vr46 fan for the rest of my life bute marc made me like him more and more the way he holds himself up since his injury 2019.
Why is it always that black or white, apple or samsung, messi or ronaldo... marc or vale.. they're both absolute legends and we should cherish seing marcs 'once in many generations' talent as long as we can see him perform.

I remember several years ago, the very first race of the season after his injury. He qualified on the pole, then they dropped the green flag for the main event. He was in the lead at the start of that race. I thought he was gonna disappear in the distance instead, He got picked off one by one, even his teammate beat him… I think he barely finished fifth..
I completely understand him wanting to get paid. if the top teams are willing to pay him to ride their machine, why not? it is sad to see a once great rider or boxer that was at the top for so long with armies of loyal fans putting it all on the line one more time .. Old warriors that everyone knows that their magic is gone. Marc Marquez closest supporters, need to tell him the truth, rather than pumping him up, hoping he has one more left in the tank. Time waits for no one. It’s just a pity that Mark couldn’t see it was over after his injury. He could have retired at the pinnacle of his popularity and strength… The books will be written about this once great warrior, but the last few chapters will be stories of missed opportunities. Woulda coulda & shoulda inferences will be the final chapters of those books.. in the battle, we all have with conflicting instinct of will versus nerve… add to that, diminished reflex, action, and physical ability, complicated by diminished endurance. This is a young mans war.. Marc Marquez was the Goliath of the sport for many years. But there are many David‘s out there now, and they have something better than slings going into battle..
I will say it again, Mark Marquez will not win another race. I said this several years ago because I could see it immediately when he returned from those injuries .
