imax b6ac has the same issue as original skyrc. but imax cannot be updated because of no usb port with it. so just buy jst hx adapter.its only 2dollar around.
By: Will Maiwald I had the same problem but with a very discharged battery - i recovered the battery by 'forcing' power into it using the NiMH charge cycle set to 3A (it was a 1400mAh LiPo battery) which forced 3A at 11V appoximately into it for around a minute. This got enough charge into the battery for it to be recognised as the correct voltage, and the charge cycle for the LiPo program functioned as intended. Saved the battery!
This is most likely what most people are experiencing I had the same thing happen. Just used the NiMH setting for probably 30 seconds to get the charger to recognize the cell. Come to find out my lipo cutoff on my ESC infact did not cutoff the lipo at correct voltage. Each cell read 3.38 V, yikes.
Thanks a billion! I could see while balance charging the first two cell voltages were wandering back and forth. I just shoved the 3 cell plug into the 4 cell slot instead, and it seems to work fine. The adapter is the more elegant solution.
Thank you very much for posting this workaround! It helped me determine the actual cause of this issue at least on my charger. On the circuit board that the balance connectors are soldered to, I found the trace that goes between the 3rd pins (for cell #2) of the 4S and 3S connectors burned off like a fuse. I had to pull the plastic connector bodies off the pins to see it. This also affects the 2S and 5S connectors because the trace continues on to them after the 3S connector. So I removed all of the burnt trace and soldered a jumper between the 3rd pins of the 4S and 3S connectors and it works again! 👍 I think it's caused by not having the main power cable connected (so a ground reference is established) when the balance lead is either connected or disconnected and not all of the pins make or break at the same time, so current flows in abnormal paths and it's too much for that trace to handle. Not a good design, but at least it's not dangerous! Thanks again! :)
i just got new batteries and when I came home to charge them after flight there was this error, the batteries was still warm so i put it in the fridge because it was still warm and that solved the problem
Mine problem is little different I opened the case and check for any broken PCB trace but there is none. My charger shows "Battery Voltage Error Cell Connect" every time after crossing 15.6 V and even after using parallel charging board, it shows the same error. Anybody knows the issue, kindly please help me !!

Well, my battery was like that too, I fixed it!

I put mine on fast charge at 1.9A (2200mah battery) for 10mins then put it on a balance charge and it worked

these are not original skyrc products,so they cannot be updated.just pirates!and its a software problem.

Mine won't balance charge. Tried this and everything else. Opened it up and see no signs of physical damage.

Mine will not balance, cell voltage displays lower than it really is, it works fine on normal charging mode (with out balancing :(
