Great video guys and it makes me want to try doing this cause you two made it look so easy and what you did made a awesome change to the looks of the tanks!!
Thanks Johnny. Yeah I had never done anything like it but check out instagram and our facebook group. I posted pictures of a T-72 I just did on my own and man what fun it is to make them your own. - James
James - Wesley. Great job. They really look good..👊😊. James - when you get tired of the Sherman your welcome to send it my way. 😁. I missed it on the first go around. Hopefully Motion get more in soon when things settle down. Thanks for sharing.
Idea: when the tank is destroyed during combat you should put a smoke machine in one of the hatch’s that smokes for like 5 seconds signaling the tank has been destroyed
Tip with the wash, if you make your own, add a drop of dish soap, it will help it run into cracks better. Also, seal your work. Washes can easily rub off with new paint, or even touching it. Besides, if you seal the paint, it'll prevent accidental damages to the paint (and provide a little waterproofing?).
Did this to my heng long Sherman 1/16 tank and painted the commander and brought new life to the stock look. Everything from the satchel bags going from yellow to more of a weathered leather and wheels and ammo and boxes. I’ve never done weathering before I enjoyed it I recommend anyone who has a tank to do the same!
@@WDB705 I would go with some Tamiya spray cans, NATO black would be just fine for the tracks. One thing I would recommend for painting any metal parts, is you prime it before applying the actual color. The primer will make the paint "stick" harder to the metal part, for tracks it will help a lot.
@@WDB705 and BTW don't overspray paints while using the spray can, clog paints look ugly. I always keep a 5" to 8" distance while painting anything with spray cans.
I think that the German vehicles at that time have more details and accessories than the others (quality)! . Russian vehicles were manufactured faster (quantity) raw and fewer accessories in the material! at the Sherman an alternative mix combined between quality and quantity. There are different opinions about it!
I bought a Sherman and a Panzer IV from y'all in spite of this video, I greatly wanted to watch it, but it is painful to listen to when the host keeps talking over the guest, let him talk, save yourself for cheerleading new tanks releases. Wish you would redo this one
Nice ! looks good .. ...have a great week
Oh man good catch! Will swap asap
@@MotionRC sorry. I was wrong...I was looking at the rear of the tank. My mistake ! nice video...

I usually put a dynamite and gasoline for extra realism with a relay 😂
Weathering is half the fun of these tanks!
Who could dislike this video?? Its fun and instructive what is there not to like.

Hope the tanks will be here in Europe sooooooon, my boys are so excited and asking every day.....
Cool, indeed.

Wow. Amazing job.
Tamiya has a lot of good stuff for weathering
But is it waterproof? Heat resistant? I was thinking on buying a Kv1 to repaint it with tamiya but im not sure if its waterproof and heat resistant
@@eg8972 almost no rc tanks are waterproof, you need to make that upgrade yourself
Time to do a full paint scheme on those tanks. :D
What’s Wess’ TH-cam channel?
Merry Boozer RC
Merry Boozer RC so if you don’t want to buy an airbrush. How would you paint metal tracks?

@@WDB705 and be sure you wear a mask while painting.
So what's up with the FAA thingy?
I believe you missed one thing: Putting "Kill Rings" on the barrel.
Needs battle scarring. Like impact marks from machine gun fire and shrapnel.
It lacked more effects of smoke in the exhaust and rust.
hey almost all ur tanks are out of stock cuz im looking at the tiger 1 and its out of stock and i looked and all of the other tanks are out of stock
Should have used the tiger 1
Wesley will be weathering up his tiger 1 on his channel soon. Merry Boozer RC
Motion RC keep going with these Rc tanks man they are really cool!
Merry Boozer RC it does look really bad ass
the tiger 2 is on amazon
