    Super Nice idea! I have 2 rolling work benches and use them for out feed tables, but they weren't design to use them that way, NOW I've got an idea to raise them up level to the table saw. I had thought of just adding to the legs, but I like the how high they are for normal work/assembly tables. Now I can keep and use the locking casters for normal use too. This helps! thanks!

    Much better alternative than other solutions I've seen. Well done!

    Thanks for the inspiration. I like this design as it raises the height of the bench when stationary, and lowers it when onto casters when needed to be moved. Most other designs do the opposite. This will work with my plan to create a nesting pair of work benches that when deployed are the same height, but when put away, one slides under the other. Essentially, I will create a mobile workbench for my table saw, that when not in use can be lowered onto casters and slide under the out-feed table/assembly workbench.

    Very good design. The only problem for me would be that I have to lift the table first with my hand in order to activate the system with casters. Thank you anyway for sharing it.

    SOOOO good to see you again buddy and glad to know you're still at it. I had to go visit my sick father 1000 miles away and JUST got back so I missed this video launch but I'm getting caught up now and yours is the first I watched. I LOVE this table...I really need something that can serve as out-feed when I need it. The new counter sink bit is nice and I really like the new tools as well. I'm seeing a few new video techniques as well that are pretty sharp. Take care friend and be safe.

    Much better system looks a lot sturdy than when it was rocked to much when it was just the wheels on the floor 😀👍

    Good idea but would be hard to lift if anything on the shelves/ top. Maybe a lever handle! Thanks for sharing.

    @J-woodworking I just finished implementing your solution for my small 6" jointer stand. My shop is very small and the place where the jointer is stored has severe height limitations. So placing the casters on the moving parts was not feasible.
    This solution turned out exactly what I needed.
    Thanks for a super useful video!

    I have added wheels to tables, but this method of adding the solid leg extensions is a MUCH better method.

    That's a pretty light workbench. This is going to be a bit harder when the bench weights 3-500lbs.

    Идея хорошая. Но почему нельзя сделать на постоянной основе? Зачем все время увеличивать и уменьшать высоту верстака?

    Yeah, nice idea. However, those casters are too small for the weight of that bench. You’d be better off with 3” or 4” non-marring casters. They will roll so much more smoothly. Also, on the retractable leg lifters, go ahead and sculpt out about 2” high by 3/4 of the length of that supporting bar attached to the two temporary leg lifts. This will allow your foot to slide under that supporting bar to pull it out easier without having to lift the bench so high. Otherwise, nice idea!

    • @rivernet62
      @rivernet62 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those casters are rated well over 100 lb each, and that bench is nowhere near 400 lb. Plus, they aren't subject to dynamic loading... Just rolling into posi.

    Очередная херня. Чувак - откидывающимися надо делать колеса, но с нормальной фиксацией. Задумайся - чем ты больше пользуешься (работой на верстаке или катанием его туда-сюда) и что важнее.
    (machine translate)
    That's just more bullshit. Dude - you have to make the wheels hinged, but with a normal locking system. Think about what you use more (working on the workbench or rolling it back and forth) and which is more important.
