Patti, these are so cute!! My fav is the one on the card, but I can also visualize the other two on a mixed media canvas. Hmmm. Me thinks you've given me the idea for my next canvas, lol.
I was thinking of making a tall box that would stand vertical, primarily black cover and put the white one on it. I sent the card to my daughter for her birthday. Thanks much for watching Lori. Patti
Just came upon this video and so enjoyed it! I use to be really into paperdoll collecting, conventions, etc. Due to health issues, had to give it up but thanks to you and your wonderful ideas I am going to try my hand at this. I just happen to have the book, too.....Life is just too good!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. You have new subscriber!
Patti - your dolls are just fabulous! I love them. I have always enjoyed videos of folk that have altered the dress forms - this takes it a step further! Each one is so different and has a different story - oh you could do so much with these - I know you have some Edwardian themes for a Ladies Diary - yes? I think the first one continues to be my favorite - I just love the way she appears to be hitching up her dress for some unseen reason. I love the long legs, too! TFS Patti - Hugs Julie
yey its remind me when I've been small my mother bought for me cutouts with dolls. But they did not so magical dress.I think that white is the most beautiful.
Thanks so much, and yes they brought back lots of memories of cutting and playing paper dolls, but my childhood ones didn't look like these either, lol Patti
Oh that's a fabulous idea! Will you send me pictures when you're done? You can send via email or Facebook Messenger, I'd love to see. Another great idea I did when my youngest Granddaughter was little was to take them out and gather some nice sticks and then come home and make fairy wands out of them. You can tie ribbons, color them, add gems, their imagination is all that's needed. My Granddaughter is now 12 and still talks about it.
Thanks Marilyn, I still have one of these little dolls I need to make something to put her on so she won't feel so neglected. Thanks for stopping by. Patti
Hi Toni, I have used two of my paper dolls on tags and sent with gifts. I have the longest one still here, I want to use it on the front of a tall mini but just haven't gotten it done yet. Thanks for stopping by. Patti
It's so nice to have you as a subscriber, I'm so glad you liked my paper doll ladies. Bev's laces are always so gorgeous. I still have the tall one and am thinking of altering a book with her as the front. Patti
So elegant, Patti! I just love the laces, and the tiny little Mary Jane's are just precious. TFS!
Thank you 'Grace'. I liked the Mary Janes too, I thought they turned out pretty cute. Patti
gorgeous!!! thank you for the tutorial. I love how you extended the legs to show more pink tulle, more ruffles is always a good thing.
