Great video. I like how hard you worked to capture the correct angle for comparison. Don't worry about people ragging on you for your accent. We all start somewhere. Just keep trying and improving and you'll get there. I don't even speak anything other than English, so being bilingual means you're already miles ahead of me in your language skills!
Sir, you truly are the reason2Breathe ;) I have a difficult time right now in my job, so from time to time reading comments like this is really upgiving. The life is dark and full of terrors...but we will face it and enjoy it. Thank you for your comment.
That's mainly because ESO's version of cyrodiil is closer to the lore than oblivion for example the imperial in the lore is IIRC is 30 miles wide but due to engine limitations at the time oblivions depiction is smaller I don't either one (considering Oblivion was my first Elder scrolls) which is ESO's is closer to the lore imo
When you get a chance to play ESO, you'll likely notice the similarities. Zen did a great job at creating something new, from something familiar. Although the locations are not exact, you will see some geographical similarities or architectural designs that remind you of the previous title. It would be a disservice if they simply replicated the same locations to be exactly the same. I like to think it's similar to when you look at old photos of New York or Paris, and then see the same locations today. Although the areas are vastly different, you can still notice subtle similarities that make the old photos familiar. That's what ESO does. It's really fun!
I guess I said it a bit wrong. Yes ESO is situated a long time ago before Oblivion. There are certain events that starts with ESO game, which is The Soulburst, thanks to that was Chorrol almost destroyed. The city will be rebuild later as you can see in Oblivion. I must have said something wrong, but I'm not sure what...I was a bit confused sometimes, because I knew, that Oblivion is older game and ESO newer game...and at the same time Oblivion is situated hundreds of years later, after the ESO events.
I see. You can see that Chorrol in ESO is ruined...absolutely first moment of Chorrol is at 1:50. The game with better graphic is ESO. In ESO you can see lava and pits in the ground. Chorrol in Oblivion: en.uesp.net/wiki/File:OB-place-Chorrol.jpg At 2:15 is The Great Oak Place in ESO and then in Oblivion. Chorrol in ESO: en.uesp.net/wiki/File:ON-place-Chorrol.jpg
Thank you for the video. : ) I had attempted to go and see the places, multiple times, in ESO but I just find Cyrodiil so boring and God-awful. lol It's a shame to see there's no real exploration value, I had hoped that the PVP would be to try and regain control of the cities, and while it does make sense that they are as damaged as they are, it still hits me as a shame hat I can't explore them properly... At least there's Kvatch and Anvil, though. lol
Bro I’m hoping U can do an entire comparison of Oblivion vs ESO Cyrodiil.. I played once through oblivion after playing ESO for like a year.. and I recognized some things but the map is pretty much unrecognizable. I can get around Cyrodiil on ESO without a map, and figured I would have that hard of a time on oblivion. Is it something that’s possible?
That's what made me play this game. I wanted to check Cyrodiil in that era. See the difference. Most of the part, I liked Cyrodiil, because of the inspiration from Roman Empire. It has been some time I played the game. I think there should already be some more quality videos with comparison, but I don't know. Never looked. If I make some more comparison videos of ESO vs ... other ES games...can't tell.
@@ForsM4 I’ve tried to search around and can’t find any videos or anything with map overlays and what not. I would really like a creator to try to explain the maps and the differences.. if it’s too big I understand but I watch a lot of lore videos and stuff and would really like to see what’s the same and what’s different about the maps
If you mean only Oblivion vs ESO comparison videos, then you are right. There are rather my videos...didn't expect that. Maybe if Bravil and Leyawiin will be accessible in future I might make another video about them...

No I don't. Colors in the video are a bit different because I used for rendering pixel format: 32-bit-flaoting point (full range), instead of 32-bit-flaoting point (video levels). Honestly it is all about adjusting contrast. Or that's how it seems.
Yeah there is always some idea how to do things better but at least in my case that happens after I edit/upload the video...and always something more how to do something better different...I would never finish this video...sometimes it is better to say ok this might be good enough. Let's try this. However I was thinking about some 2.0 version with more content and with better as you said perspectives...just not sure if I should do it or in the end if it is really needed...because the video would be just a little longer. Or what if I would make it even worse? Damn...
Skingrad is in state like Bravil. More or less. You can see a nice piece of Bravil from a distance, but it is inaccessible...for public (there are ways how to get there though). The city is not finished and maybe in future it will be part of some update...or DLC. Same destiny stands for Skingrad. However Skingrad can't be seen from a distance. I’ve had thousands of hours into cyrodil alone in eso, comes to show how vast that game is...
The probleme with Chorrol is that the events in ESO are before the Oblivion crisis...
I forgot. In Oblivion, Cheydinhal's architecture had a lot of Dunmer influence.
