A lovely hike in a beautiful place. I am jealous of your hills and views! Here in Florida, stepping over a root counts as elevation gain. 😆

hope I can hike in your area sometime soon, I would go nuts with all the wildlife there, so that would make up for the lack of elevation gain😄

I’m headed to Tenaja falls next week! When was this filmed? What’s the water report throughout the hike? Thanks for sharing!

hope you have a wonderful time headed out to the Falls!, I filmed this 2/10, there should still be plenty of water along the way and at the falls, I was actually just on the other side hiking Chiquito trail to Chiquito Falls and also the water report is still great, more water than I have seen in a while
      happy trekking!

Amazing video, very cinematic! I am going here with a few of my friends, we planned on starting at fishermans trailhead, did you start and tenaja trailhead?

Thank you very much!! I parked and started my hike at the parking lot across from the candy store on Ortega Highway ( San Juan loop trail) right next to the candy store is the Bear Canyon trailhead, this is basically where I started and it’s about an 8 mile trek down to Tenaja Falls, beautiful scenery, and views along the way, totally recommended , not sure how much water there’s still is on the trail for collecting but there should be water down at the falls, make sure to bring a hat bug net or spray depending on your preference, bug nets makes us look silly, but can help you keep your sanity along the trail:) popular hike, but definitely never overcrowded, last time I did it I think I encountered maybe one or two other small groups, stay safe out there! and happy trekking😊
