This might be controversial but I think mahogany is the best tonewood for a Strat. It adds another layer of depth compared to alder. It has a richer bass and mid tone. I first heard EddieVegas play a 1963 mahogany Strat, allegedly a factory mahogany Strat. Since then I thought mahogany Strats sound the best.

I always wonder what happens to these guitars and the life they end up leading. Are they loved, are they gigged, do they even end up getting played ? Is the highlight for them being featured in these videos and getting played by Greg. For the vast majority they’ll never experience a player of his taste and calliper making them do what they where designed and capable of doing.

there's no figured rosewood that I can see. I see a flame maple neck with what appears might be an ebony fretboard, but no figured rosewood. The body might be rosewood, but he's real careful not to show the actual guitar.
it doesn't quack so good as a non-roasted maple neck strat.
