I also should add the only reason I said catholic is because that's usually the one that was attacked by using that and the belief that they worship the saints, and if you don't believe me you can read a pilgrims progress where they associate catholic to paganism.

The cross upside down is not witch craft. It was used during Jesus crucifixion for people who believed they were not worthy of dieing just like Jesus.
St. Peter! He felt he wasn't worthy enough to die in the way Jesus did and so they crucified him upside-down. The upside down cross is genuinely called St. Peter's Cross. The fact that over the years it's been associated with witchcraft is 1) hilarious and 2) wild, like, Peter didn't die a double-painful way for nothing
