Yes, just give all the broadcasting rights to Tennis TV because they never disappoint, unlike the Wimbledon and Roland Garros channels with their embarrassing 3-5 minute highlight reels.
Loved that off-tempo approachs to the net,, you don't see them so often anymore and they are difficult to defend. A big appluase to my homeland-mate Cobolli for the incredible run. That guy has showed many times his mental toughness through his young ATP carrier.
Nothing against him but I find his grunt soo annoying I mean it almost feels ike hes deliberately grunting while his opponent hits the ball (same with Carlos btw)
@@djordjenikolic9059 at the start of the year he was qualifying for grand slams, now he is able to be seeded. This progress is really good especially with wins over Shelton and other high players
Korda never quite gives up, has worked for him before.. cobolli...got a pay raise this week and overcame tougher grind competition such as was with shelton...he had masterful strokes, like federer..but needs djokovic level endurance play and he's next top 10 by early next year what a talent he was.
@@zweigackroyd7301clearly you didn’t watch the match. Korda was dominating his service games and Cobolli was struggling to hold. Korda had one bad game and lost the set but overall Korda was the better player in the first set
@@seancarroll5803 Clearly you're a little unclear how scoring works, since you seem to think the better player regularly loses a set. 🙄 Or perhaps you just confuse playing some tetterific points, but not when it matters, with actually being better.
Cobolli shot his load in the first set ! Wow he is arguably one of the fastest guys on the tour but Korda has one of the best all round games when he's healthy - so smooth especially that FH!
Bravi entrambi. C'era una forte motivazione per Korda, che e' un ottimo giocatore. A Cobolli, alla fine e' mancata la benzina fisica e mentale. Sara' presto fortissimo, questo ventenne.
He faced an exhausted opponent. He definitely lacks agressivity and consistency. He needs to pass an upper gear to climb up the rankings. IMHO he'd definitely never would have reached a final if it was not during the olympics.
I mea. Korda it's like textbook player but without a Big weapon, it always looks like he Hilda back on his movement and Strokes, if he could add a 10% of pace on every department he Will be top 5 material
In general copying professional strokes can be a bad idea (rather find your own style from the fundamentals) but for Korda I'd make an exception. Textbook tennis, in terms of stroke technique, shot selection and let's add attitude to that.
Been waiting for Korda's big break since his ridiculous Adelaide final against Djokovic at the start of 2023. Glad to see it finally come, he's got an incredibly aesthetic attacking game and is absolutely capable of at least the top 10
Korda's easily my fav of American players making (some) noise on the tour these past few years. Just in terms of strokes and game sense, he seems like he has the highest ceiling, it's been his movement and injury-prone body that seems to have limited him thus far. He's so so satisfying to watch though, effortlessly smooth, beautiful in a way very few players are. In fact, it seems to be his effortless game that drives a lot of the criticism I've seen of him not having the mentality to win big games and tournaments. Obviously this is all subjective, but to my eye it's quite the opposite, he appears to have a calmness and steadiness about him that keeps him from getting flustered the way a lot of other American players (and the "next gen" players more broadly save for the top top guys) do in key moments. He glides across the court such that it just *looks* like he's not putting his foot on the gas. Hope he goes far.
What a terrific story, wish that I had had a Dad that gave a crap about my tennis when I was a kid, or wait, even a Dad that was around...! Cheers to Seb - a deserved win after a lot of hard work...
Cobolli seems like a great player who’s really up and coming. I’ve never seen a full match of his but one thing that seems to be a weakness is that he gets broken more than a lot of other guys. Don’t know if it’s his serve or how he plays off of his own serve, but it seems like a weakness.
i never noticed until this year how good korda was transitioning to net. I've always been obsessed with how smooth his backhand looks, but never appreciated the other aspects of his game.
How crazy is it that we get an 8-minute highlight package of the DC Open, but we only get 3 minutes of the Slam SFs? ATP needs to figure out this whole "internet" thing before they lose the sport entirely.
I am happy for Korda--he plays an elegant brand of tennis and, like Zverev and Medvedev, moves very well for such a tall man. I wish him more success down the road.
Korda played great deserved but I think Cobolli was extremely anced up for the stage and tried too hard to hit huge and play outstanding. He was too excited and it came back to bite him
There are a bunch of exciting, young American players right now. Just, can one break through to a slam final? Who might break through first? I thought it would be Fritz at Wimbledon, but no... Could Korda get hot at the US Open? Let's go, Korda!!
Cobolli forgot to play the last half match of the tournament ;) He could be a threat if he had stamina and... could keep his service game once in a while.
Congratulations to Korda. Hope he goes into grand Sland final soon. He will need to get a bit more agressive and fighter as Nadal , Djokovic or alcaraz
Man I wish tennis tv had rights to grand slams. Their videos are top tier

Amen!

@@ada5851good to be able to watch the US Open in the UK! And not pay Sky excessive fees.

Great to see Korda win! He is such a gifted player, one of my favourites.
Good to see Korda making use of those great ground strokes and finishing more points at the net. Congratz Seb!
Korda's hard court game looking really good
Korda appears to have significantly improved his movement. Congrats
A well deserved big trophy for Korda. I absolutely love when deserving players start winning bigger trophies!!
Kudos to both players here 👌
What a crazy week it’s been. Djokovic finally winning the Olympics and Korda breaking his 5 match losing streak in finals.

I think his Dad had him watch old footage of Miloslav Mecir.
