- Carman Domenic Licciardello transitioned from this life on February 16, 2021, after a 40-year career that saw him become the #1 Contemporary Gospel Singer in the world; sell out stadiums all over the United States, including having the largest attended Christian concert in history, which was held at Texas Stadium in Irving, Texas; and became a pioneer and trailblazer in the area of music videos that has never been duplicated to this day. This video reflects on his life and legacy by those who knew him best over the years.

Carman prayed over me in 1992 in Fresno Ca, I was about to lose my daughter Amy in a miscarage but when he prayed for me the next day I went to the doctors and my daughters heartbeat was strong, she was going to survive and now she is 29 years old with her 3 boys, thank you Lord for carman his music also help me when my mom passed away in 1983 I was 12 years old, his music has touched many lives by the power of the Holy Spirit and through the blood of Jesus and Gods grace, we will see you soon in heaven Amen.
I am one of ten children who was introduced to Carmen's music before I was Born Again ❤ Little did any of us know, thru Carmen's music, the seed of God's word was being planted into our hearts ❤ Today we are all born again Christians, including nieces & nephews as well as our mom too. Probably, none of us will reach the Heights that Carmen did to reach the world with the gospel. But,he still motivates us thru his music to be a light for Jesus in our corner of the world ❤ May God Bless All of You who have read this comment: know that God Loves You and has a specific plan for Your life❤
This man will never die! There are millions and millions of us who were touched by his ministry and we are witnesses of his great legacy.

There was no one like Carman. His level of creativity, along with his deep passion for Jesus, took CCM to a new level. I still listen to those great albums he put out some 30 years ago, and am still blessed by them. What a legacy he left us. I loved seeing Gary Oliver pay tribute. His voice (esp on the High Praises albums) is also one of a generation. Between these two of God's most gifted artists, I was enormously blessed by their songs. We love you Carman. You are greatly missed

My early walk with my Lord Jesus was encouraged and blessed along with my small children by Carman! He was always something we looked forward to hearing and seeing on Tv since concerts were not financially possible for us back then. Thank everyone for sharing your private memories of Carman. My family was so blessed to be guests of his at a concert in Michigan and were able meet with him. They told us my daughter who was 9, was the youngest person tithing her allowance to his ministry at the time. God Bless you all.
I grew up with Carman's music I saw him several times always a blessing to me at the right time I needed it! Last time I saw him my husband and I saw him at a Easter service. Dearing his No Plan B at a church about a couple of hours away form where we life I will definitely miss his ministry, Carman as inspired me to me a minister I sing now on my worship team at Church

Carman staple of my childhood!! My dad was very strict so being able to watch his movie was the coolest and funnest thing ever. As I got older and witnessing how he finished his life so faithful to our Saviour through his battle have a much deeper respect for him.
Even today, as I sit watching this video, it is SO difficult to believe Carman has transitioned to his Heavenly home. Thank you friend for your tireless devotion to the Lord and the millions that have been saved by your heart and own ,deep faith.
i got saved in the early 90ish,,,i remember purchasing a music cd by carman ,,bwoy i remembering listening to the witch invitation..it scare me first of all,,but it empower me ,,to know jesus his lord of all,,,an every knee shall bow to jesus ,,things seen an unseen,,our brother carman with jesus,,see you praise god

I just recently learned of his passing and was so shocked. I had the privilege and blessing to be able to go see him in concert two times here in Charlotte, NC. What an amazing and talented anointed man of God that he truly was. We will never forget him and always love Carman in our hearts. I grew up without much in the way of family unity and my older brother bought me two cassettes during the eighties. One was The Champion by Carmen and the other was one of the Petra cassettes that had the song First Love on it. He had left home and for the three years before I went to college I listened to Carmen over and over upstairs alone in the dark. Talk about the power of the champion without any distractions and I don't believe I would have survived any of my next five years if I hadn't saturated NY spirit with this music. It can be very lonely without what is seen as necessary relationships but Carmen definitely had a way of putting things into perspective. 😊

Carman brought so much joy in my life. I would always listen to him when I could because he took me to a different place and worshipping God through Carman has saved me from alot of toxic problems in my life. He always inspired me. I miss you Carman. See u in Heaven.

Alot of memories growing up listening to his music. My family used to take the neighbor,s kids fishing at park called Friendship. The neighbor put the cassette in on "The Champion" I loved that song and eventually the entire album. When I listen to I remember what a great summer that was.
Addicted to Jesus was the first song I heard and was ready to go find a cd called The Standard. I love this tribute to him, he was a wonderful man with a beautiful voice, a creative talent and a big heart.

I was blessed to be able attend 2 concerts and let me tell you it was an experience like I've had never had. You can have fun as a christian and boy did we have fun. He was over the top,in his showman ship but he still made sure people had the opportunity to accept Jesus in their heart. His message was clear and his ministry was amazing.

WOW!… What a Wonderful and Beautiful TRIBUTE to this Bridge-Builder, “Christian Creative” Pioneer (l loved that term used in the video), and Worshiping man used by GOD to impact countless lives for JESUS!… A lot of information about his life and ministry l wasn’t aware of but really appreciate knowing now! (‘Crying mixed tears…🥲😢) I’m challenged to “go hard and deeper” after GOD with renewed focus and intimacy.💖

What a wonderful tribute - I remember the first time I heard Carmen - I was just a babe in Christ and it was such awesome, joyful, powerful, ready to go to go into battle, and into the throne room of God - music - Can't wait to see him in heaven and worship with him there.
Thank you for this tribute. I so enjoyed seeing all the familiar faces honoring his life . I've been a fan since early 1980s when I first saw him on PTL club along with Bebe and Cece and became an instant fan. He has been one of the major influences in my walk with the Lord. His music will continue to touch lives still yet to be born.

He was not only talented, but he had such an amazing prospect on life and death. I was looking forward to seeing him in concert after his diagnosis and treatments but unfortunately he passed away before we got to see him again. Last time I saw him with my children was in the early 1990’s when DC TALK opened for him at Water Country in Portsmouth NH……super friendly, super real and super genuine….very real and down to earth. Well done good and faithful servant……we will see you again. You are so so so missed!!!!!

Carmen was a staple of Christian music for me in along with Sandi Patty. Cried listening to the love others like me had for him. Not surprised so many spoke of his love for Christ and his genuineness with people. (Just seeing this 1/2024.)
This video should have thousands of views because his ministry touches more than that! He is by far my favorite instrument of God of all time and will ever be because that is how I see music, with story, visuals, and amazing melodies. Just perfect!

May the Lord continue to bless their music ministry. I wish Carman in 1995 was involved in the Utmost For His Highest project -a tribute to Oswald Chambers. I loooooved his music and ministry. Refreshingly different and passionate, and Bible-focused, theatricals and great energy! Amazing and anointed storytelling minister! May he enjoy his eternal rest and keep heaven exploding with great music! Watching this tribute, now I finally get it! I've always wondered what made him different - it was the WORD! He dramatized the Word so well because he knew the Word. He spent time in the Word, studied it with others, and got grounded and rooted in the Word. Wow! God bless his work, and may the seeds sown once upon a time continue to yield great fruit. Wow. What a God, to have gifted us with such a man! What a man! What a ministry!

I met Carman in 1987 in Las Cruces on the Champion tour.
I got to see him a few times after that and was at the taping of the live Addicted to Jesus footage in Oklahoma.
There will never be another Carman.
