I always dreamed to have these set up, im having a p80 too, but i found that ak2515 is too expensive at my country, when i decided to get it, it already sold out and i can't find that again 😢
Not too hard. I used the extra storage space from the typical dash kit for single din. I just used some ABS and cut it where I needed to fit. Then cut the abs out to fit the ak2515.
i have one but am not sure if it will work using the high output from the head unit. my radio is old and does not have low rca output connection. did you connect it on the head unit's high output or low output?
I put a splitter on the mid range rca outputs of the 80prs which are crossed at 80hz hpf. I would not recommend using the internal amp speaker outputs for signal.
@@casemodsjust went to the audio shop and they asked me where the signal is coming from going to the analyzer? If you don't have any RCA ports on a factory infotainment system.
I just have a 3.5mm to rca cable off of 2 splitters. So the head unit mid range out put I have split. One going to the 3.5mm to rca into the ak2515 and one into the amp. Basically just get 2 rca splitters and a 3.5mm to rca cable
@@casemods thanks for your answer !!! if I have two pairs of rca on the back of the radio. should i plug it in there? with an rca to 3.5 jack cable?????
Its on 5v. I use a usb powerbank to power it because the deck usb gives horrible feedback. I haven't set the time or messed with the settings. It always just defaults to the clock until music is played then the spectrum analyzer turns on.

That looks killer I’m looking to do a similar setup in a 370z what did it take to install into the dash

this is so cool, would you be able to make a tutorial video on how to install ?
@@randomrob2221 if I ever take it apart lol it's kinda tucked in there
I wonder can this connect to a factory infotainment system on a newer vehicle? Would like to put in a similar setup.
@TNN9111 yes, all you would need is a line output converter to convert speaker wire into rca then to 3.5mm for the unit
@@casemods preciate that, thank you

Hello, how can I connect one of these to a pioneer old school? greetings thanks and good video !!!!
Does it have high or low inputs? You need rca. But can use speaker wire and line output converter to get rca.

@@diegocardozo6365 yes or you can split one of the rca if you need it for an amp.
