Thank you for this amazing video! I just bought poly gel and everything else I went crazy and even got an E-file. I wore acrylic from a salon for 10 years straight then a few years ago I stopped and wanted to grow out my natural nail and of course they have been flimsy and bendable since I tired vitamins and oils and nothing helped but I was tired of going to a salon cause where I live it’s not a good salon so buying all I needed to do it at home but the first set I did all broke right off at the free-edge so this has helped me form a strong nail. I'm gonna have to try the 2 bead method, I usually do 1 bead but it takes a lot of time to get it perfect so I'll try this and see how it goes
Update: I tried it and girllllll I'm in love with the shape of the apex. the only problem I had was that I was using too much polygel so the nail came out a lil thick, it's probably because I'm use to the 1 bead method.
Hey girl!! Yess that makes me so happy that the two bead method helped you with your apex!!! And that sounds about right, there definitely is a difference between using two bead and one bead but that's not a bad problem to have. You'll get used to gauging the right amount of product! Love thisss 😆

Hiii love the nails I’m starting to get into poly gel myself. Why do you use full cover tips instead of half tips and how long do they last?
frikitona22 Yess, i hope you love it!! I use full cover tips to protect my natural nails. When I change my designs I usually file down to the clear nail and do a new design on top. I also like that i can soak it off to prevent damaging my natural nails since poly gel has to be filed completely off. I change my designs a lot but the clear full cover tips usually lasts me about a month. I use the Kiara Sky gelly tips. Hope this helped 😊

tiffany lewis Im so happy the video was helpful!! I wish I had good tricks for the left hand... my tips are kinda cliche. Practice makes perfect, take your time, and make sure your not gripping the brush too tight or loose for better control. This is definitely a good video idea 😊

At the time, I used the Aimeili Builder Base Gel ($7 on Amazon). Recently, I’ve been using the Kiara Sky Gelly Tips Builder Gel ($17 on the Kiara Sky website). They both work really well! The trick with the spatula to make the gap with the Polygel and cuticle area is nice ima try it. Girl you did great I’m going to try this method to build my apex next time I do a full set. How long did this set last you?

Fajah Brown Thank you ❤️ This is the Makarrt 335 color from their Nude Collection. The collection runs about $40 on amazon, but its so worth it! Or a larger bottle on its own for $17 on their website. Its such a staple color!
Can I use alcohol if I dnt have polygel liquid?
Idk you but yes girl I just brought some bettles poley gel and I work with acrylic but the smell is to strong so I’m trying polygel hopefully I can do cool designs learning the apex

How to remove? Acetone soak off?
my polygel always sticks to my brush and it looks so thick when i dont use dual forms.
You may need a higher percentage of alcohol as your slip solution if your struggling with polygel sticking to your brush & keeping your nails thin while using other forms of application comes with practice!! You'll get the hang of it ❤️

With dual forms, practice definitely makes perfect. Dual forms have a built in apex so just make sure your using dual forms that fit your nail beds (flat or curved) & be care not to under or over fill the form to avoid lifting. Hope this helps & I plan on making a detailed video about dual forms very soon!!!! :)

I used builder gel in a bottle to cure them on! It’s a little more work but is stronger than glue ❤️😊 hope this helps!

Hii, thats is so nice of you to say!!!! I get not wanting to damage your natural nails. It took me a while to be comfortable filing them off. I have a video where I remove my polygel set. I don’t necessarily file down to my natural nail, it might be worth you watching. You might change your mind about trying polygel :) I dont have an instagram page yet but its in the making. I wish I had known about the full-cover nails before I trashed my natural ones. Twice. I’m way too brave sometimes & have to learn the hard way. No one explained to me that the only way to remove polygel is to file it off. So, using full cover nails is a good way to protect your own. I don’t think I’ll ever do experiments with my own nail beds exposed again. Yoo wise.
Yesss, I’m so glad it gave you a new method for protecting your natural nails. I’ve done a lot of experimenting and ruined my nails quite a bit too. I can definitely say my nails were the healthiest when I was using full cover tips consistently 😊

The most effective way is filing them off, which can be a pain sometimes. I plan on making a video on how I remove my polygel nail sets :)
I would have used the product that spilled to do the set so it wasn’t all wasted. I’mcheap af tho
