    Really enjoy a Bengal game. The country has a good mission tree, good ideas, and is the most powerful in its local group with easy expansion to the east and south. Gotta watch out for the vassal swarm of Orissa but its a really solid nation to play and can be a bundle of fun depending on what you want to do.

In asia there were much much more actual nations so obviously they got buffed and unless you extend the game by about 50 years then there are not even many real north american nations. Tribe’s such s the cherokee did jack shit their entire history and migrated but that doesn’t mean they actually did anything with the territory, they didn’t have a functioning government or even a formable army until the colonists whereas nations such as the apache and comanche SHOULD have a mission tree as both have had an undeniable place in history even during that period. people like to pretend like every nation in the world did something that deserves a mission tree but the idea of that is beyond laughable. The game is called europa universalis as this was the golden age of european nations…not the african nations that stayed a millenium in the past and rarely formed actual governments that helped the people…yeah sorry to tell you but most nations didn’t do anything anywhere near signifigant and most if not all mission trees at this point make as much sense as they need to

    nice guide! Bengal is my favorite nation and I usually attack Orissa on day 1 and full annex them, which gets me all his vassals as well. Out of 18 games I played with Bengal (single and multiplayer), Arakan allied Ayuthaya every single time, so I dont think theres a high likelihood for these 2 to not ally at the start.
    Also, Bengal can easily form Nepal (finish the mission tree first tho). Also, if you want to flip Hindu, finish the one mission that has a piety requirement because that requirement doesnt change and it becomes impossible for you to achieve and you wont get some pretty nice bonuses.

    The 10:10 comment that "there's no point in collecting in your home trade node" feels wildly incorrect. Collecting in your home node gives a 10% trade efficiency bonus. Past the first few merchants, the additional trade value you'll pull in to your network by steering 2 or 3 nodes upstream in a node you don't have much control in is probably not going to result in anywhere near as much income as an additional 10% of your main node value.

      @@marcustulliuscicero5443 Bahamanis actually has a pretty slow start. Not sure about Jaunpur though.
      Bengal can crush its only peer in 1444 by 1 v 1ing Orissa with the core it starts with. finishing its first mission. after that it is surrounded by weak and easy targets for endless back to back wars with free claims. Bahamians has to fight Vijanagar and that fight is tough and takes a long time.
      I acctually don't know why this vid doesn't start with the Orissa war. ally Adahara rival Orissa Declare war and you swipe away the only hindu other than Vijanagar that could ever stop you. and you don't need to fight Vijanagar for a while
      also not sure why he went with the +25 percent religous unity when you can simply cancel out hindu religous unity penalties all together and never have to convert anything.

      @@scorpioneldar You attack Malwa on Dec 11 together with Mewar and partition them (restart until Estates give claims on Gondwana). Mewar gets two provinces, you take the rest including their capital. Which then gives you Malwa's vassals for free.
      The next few years are either spent recovering from the Malwa war or going for a quick war on Gujarat, depending on how hard the war was and if Gujarat has any strong allies (mainly Jaunpur and/or the Timurids). Telingana should also be integrated to get claims on Andhra. Also build a fort in Pune to secure your western flank for the time being - Vijayanagar just loves walking through there.
      Your next war then is a conquest war against Andhra. White peace Vijayanagar, vassalize Andhra. If you are very lucky Orissa will declare on Andhra will you are at war, meaning once you vassalize you can crush them together with Vijayanagar.
      The next war against Vija is a reconquest war, together with Andhra you have plenty of cores to take back. Taking Vijayanagar isn't a bad idea as well as it unlocks a pretty significant chunk of claims. You can then either use those claims to attack Mysore and Madurai or take provinces out of Vijayanagar to take provinces to release Mysore and Madurai from.
      While you are quickly dismantling Vija, you should also annex ... was it Kalpi? The Sunni vassal of Malwa (which you force-convert so Shia as soon as convenient for AoRef splendor), which then gives you a direct connection to Central Doab, aka the best state in India. Take it and disembowel Jaunpur.
      Give me a sec and I'll upload a timelapse from a Bahmanis game I did a while back.
      Jaunpur actually does something similar, but against Delhi. Which is actually better than Bahmanis' opener but from my experience less reliable to get by Dec 11.
      And regarding his religious estate rights, you'll always convert as a Hindu Muslim for Splendor in the Age of Reformation. And Bengal in particular has a decent chunk of its mission tree locked behind converting their home provinces.

    • @scorpioneldar
      @scorpioneldar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@marcustulliuscicero5443 personally I think being able to ignore the entire religious conversion system all game long is worth more than the splendor in age of reformation especially as you don’t have to pay the exorbitant costs that come from low religious unity either and it isn’t hard to get 3 of the reformation requirements ticked off with a humanist strategy. (You don’t need more than that for golden age and only a handful of the splendor bonuses in that age actually work for you if your not converting.)
      Not a big fan of strategy’s that rely on restarting especially ones that focus on restarting for estate missions. But I do indeed see how that might accelerate bahamanis. It is actually a very neat strat even if I probably would never have the patience to pull it off. My first war as them is usually to the south and I just follow the tree with them. Even before missions existed I would always take on the southern Hindu state first. I prefer to fight a big battle with my near peer rivals first and then after breaking them overrun the rest rather than chipping away at small fry to bulk up.

    There's like 0 incentive/reason to flip to hindu besides maybe trying to reroll your islamic holy school/denomination. Not only do you lose 100 prestige total, meaning your troops will have very low morale along with the other problems, but you'll also be unable to complete a part of your mission tree, and you're losing out on the legalism bonuses( more manpower,tax, tech cost), along with the ability to claim defender of faith for the war exhaustion reduction and other bonuses once you become bigger and stronger.
    Indian sultanate government form is also one of the better forms of government, it has the 15 year taxation policies, which allow you more flexibility, along with some brahmin privileges it gives you all the tolerance and religious unity you'll need for almost all game, and it's secretly better than an Iqta because it actually allows queen regencies and you'll never have your good heir arbitrarily removed from the succession if your king dies before they're 15 (which only happens with iqtas and horde governments afaik). It doesn't however allow parliament or estates general (some few people actually like parliament, and estates general is very useful sometimes).

    Also found a bit of controversy so the RedHawk doesn't actually know what he is doing:
    At the beginning of the video:
    - I'm not using debase currency and sunni religion ability to lower corruption, because we are rich and have enough money;
    Few years later after war with Bahmani:
    - Well I have few loans but who cares ?
