Sauli,Rod n Kingsley best Malvern Blacks back line we only lost 1 game all vear against Caulfield unfortunately after being an integral part of our success along with talented freaks the late incredible Chris Goldy,Centreman extrordinaire Steve Austin n defensive wing Jeff Wheeler i got Smashed by Caulfields Phillip Krause who just hammered my shins till i couldnt stop ANYTHING and was Replaced for the final game by the reds goalie Brett Sexton( a stalwart Malvern family) who nailed it and thet won the grabd final.i waz devastated to Miss the Grand Final but attended the after party at Goldies house under duress and was carried in by Chris n mates and made very welcolme.Malvern n Willy have a very old n proud history.
