I was just reminded by this that the Mikaelsons are still vampires and still live off of human blood. You never see them kill anyone human in the Originals or go out hunting. I know they sometimes have compelled servers in the house or pre bottled blood, but we know that that's not how they normally eat. We saw them take out an entire bus for food after their coma. Which leads me to my next thought - Hayley. We never saw her drink blood to feed. After her transformation into a vampire, that part about it was never even mentioned. I doubt Mary would have accepted her as much if she had just gone out at nights, leaving her daughter with her, and run around murdering people. Does she drink and delete? She never even compelled anyone. It's a mystery. Because the "blood"- part of being a vampire was, ironically, not original enough anymore.
