    Thank you for demonstrating these very functional layouts and pages. I mentioned in a comment on another of your vids that I am just starting this journey of a planner/journal hybrid type planner, and I really love this idea of the sections you did instead of trying to put everything in every weekly/monthly layout.

      Well, I can say that I spend about 30-40 mins each morning in my planner so using it is not much of a time constraint considering all the things I track. The decorative side of things is like a craft or creative hobbie which is fulfilling in its own right. I don’t feel like my planner holds me back in any way… more like organizes and enhances my life! 😀💕

    I made my clear dividers from the chopping mats from the dollar store. I like the weight of them and they are super cheap!! I like the idea of the GTD in box running task list at the front. I write mine on my weekly spread but I seem to overlook them!

    • @squairdplans
      @squairdplans  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did make some dashboards (top tabs) from the dollar store chopping mats in the past but they were a little flimsy to me. I feel like I need a plastic half way between those and the one I used on the dividers.

    I too adore your videos while I make my planner mine. I work from home, so can adopt a lot of your style. My faith planner is entirely separate, as I like to write a lot.
    One thing I'm struggling with is how to clearly define the separate sections in my planner - the currently page and month dividers stop me from doing that very well. Thoughts?
    Also, do you save past, already used months?

    • @squairdplans
      @squairdplans  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely understand! I used to find that annoying when I used mostly Happy Planners. You have to keep the currently page on the back of the previous month with the current month. UGH! frustrating. I would add a top tab in the past between the currently and the divider and define it as it's own section within the planner, much like I do now with the faith overview tab. Then I would just flip right to it and not worry about the half of spread on the back side.
      And I do keep my planners from previous years, just on the bookcase for now with covers and discs. I only have 3 years under my belt at this point so it is not too bad but I might need to consolidate at some point.

    Hii!! I just found your channel! I enjoyed this video so much, it was so relaxing and satisfying at the same time! Thank you!! ❤️
    Since you mentioned you are trying to follow a diet and you also have allergies and asthma etc... I was wondering, have you checked out the zone diet? I find that it's the most balanced nutrition plan of them all and actually designed to reduce inflammation, restore health/heal autoimmune disorders over time, and you lose actual fat, if you have excess, almost as a "side effect". I also have various allergies and other autoimmune things like atopic dermatitis and during the months I follow the diet (guided by my nutritionist) they have improved. ☺️ As well as my blood tests and overall health and muscle/fat ratio! 😃 And the diet it's not calorie restrictive. ❤️

    • @squairdplans
      @squairdplans  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm, I’ve heard of the zone diet but have yet to try it. I do try and eat plant based...is it friendly for a veggie lifestyle?

    • @iliana.m
      @iliana.m 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@squairdplans Oh, great thing that you have heard of it! The diet is balanced with 40% carbs (only from veggies and fruits) 30% protein and 30% fat in every meal so it's equally easy for a vegetarian that eats diary to take protein but if you are vegan then you can take protein through protein supplement so it's still possible. With no dairy/meat/fish/protein supplement at all then all you eat is carbs and the necessary fat. Getting enough protein in general is required from your body in order to maintain muscle and build more muscle if needed. So if your protein intake in general is not enough for your body to keep the muscle then if you lose weight it will be from the muscle loss (and not fat). Also, if you lose too many kilos/pounds and don't build muscle at the same time then your skin will be too loose and your face as well will look like you have lost all these pounds (I don't know how to describe it better in English 😁) I hope I helped! 😃 I have gained ~4-5kg muscle with very light training such as walking... With other diets from regular nutritionists I was also losing muscle..! (I needed to gain ~8-10kg muscle for my body and lose ~10kg fat to be healthy. But the main focus at first is to heal my autoimmunes etc. Have in mind that your body may focus there first instead of focusing on losing your fat when you start the diet, if this is a priority for it). This diet is by Barry Sears, I know there are some published books by him on the diet that you can look into more detail on how it works exactly. 🙂

    • @iliana.m
      @iliana.m 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      To me, if you are plant based because you find it is more healthy, then think twice.. If it is for ideology, then by all means do it but have in mind that your body desperately needs that protein so look into a supplement to make up for it. 😊 Cause with age will come other more serious health problems due to the not adequate muscle mass.. Unless you have the best genes, which we clearly have not 😂 🙈 ❤️

    • @squairdplans
      @squairdplans  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the details! I will definitely look into it a bit more and see if it is a good fit for me. 😁👍🏼
