- How to find the Heart of Shell Beds. Also how to correctly create a Waypoint for the Shell Bed. This is an important aspect to learn and understand when it comes to bass fishing. It is big bass territory that you do not want to miss out on. Give this a try and hopefully you will catch the bass of your dreams!!

can you do this video again when it is warmer or not windy? the sound was almost impossible on my brand new laptop. Amazing how much info you have and are willing to share. This is simply not addressed online no matter how many crappy hits you get with Shell Bed Search. It is a very mysterious frontier in bass fishing for so many people... your internet audience... people like me from TN that had no idea about your page. I'm telling you, if you release a new shell video that you can hear and maybe talk about color pallets because on some... red it hard and just as many yellow is hard. That is the main source of confusion I think and no one talked about it. That should be step 1 in a video. Thank you so much!
See what I can do. Thank you for watching
Maybe I'm slow, but i could barely understand the audio, and the parts i could hear I couldn't understand the description of how to recognize the shell bed? This is the exact type instruction i've been looking for, but just a little rough.
Thank you for watching
Great video but I'm still trying to figure out how to set up my HDS live to get that double echo. Any tips?
Probably easier to show than explain. If your ever around the area we can meet at the ramp sometime, only take 10 minutes.
So awesome Mike. Thank you👊🏼
Thanks for watching
Great job Mike! I have been trying and trying but can't find any Shell Beds on Bartlett lake. lol
Lol, great to hear from you sir. Happy new year, still need to get you a visit here. No charge from me, just let me know when you can spend a day or two. 😁👍
I love the info you give on electronics. I hope I make it to fork in November so I can do some research. Until then I'll do the homework on tablerock. Thank you again
Thanks for watching
WOW, Great analytics Mike! Thank you Sir.
Thanks for watching
GREATLY enjoy this kind of explanation. Not sure if my main lake has shell beds. Early in the year I was shown some great spot and at that time I did catch a lot. But they are not there now Now I am trying to understand WHY they were there then and not now.
Thanks for watching - sorry just seeing this comment now
All good. I enjoyed and re-watching your videos you did on another channel. Happy to see it on yours.
Great post Mike. Do you normally setup in the deep and cast shallow or vice-versa?
It really depends on the time of year or specific scenarios
Great info, Mike.
Thanks for watching
Thank you for the great info. As far as setting up to be able to read double echo do you just adjust the depth range higher?
On the hummingbird yes, the lowrance screen will scroll up and down.
Mike,I am from Tn. and fish Ky. Lake.Having said that I enjoy your videos. I have lowrance carbon at the console and gen 3 at the bow. What are the settings in order to get the double echo on my units.Thank you,Danny Mc
Hello sir, thank you for watching. Its not as easy as just telling you basic settings. The units need to be gone through to optimize all of its capacity. Proper selection of transducer, etc...
My best recommendation is to find a local sonar guide and take there class. Or come to Texas and see Slade Dougharty anytime or myself in the off season.
Did you say to fish the shell beds that have wind and current or avoid them?
Always use the current and wind.
Thanks Mike. Can you explain the double echo and how do you see that. Not sure if you have to change settings to see it.
Thanks for watching
I think i need a lesson Mike !
Thanks for watching, call me and book a trip
Thanks

Good video but terrible audio unfortunately. Thnx anyway.
What did you find wrong?
@@TheLakeForkGuideMikeMcFarland when talking on the boat it's very hard to hear what you saying. Probably due of being to far away of the mic.?

Yep it happens sometimes when you film on the water. Sorry
