I went to D.C. on a Oklahoma Honor Flight for WWll veterans with my Dad who joined the Navy when he was 15. My Grandpa told him he'd help him get in, but not to get out. I went along as a helper to load and unload the wheelchairs from the buses. We were both wearing our caps - WWll & Vietnam. While at the Wall a family approached us and told us that their children wanted to take a picture with us and wanted to know if that was ok. After taking the picture I realized at that moment - I got my Welcome Home. These were children asking and that tells me something about their parents as well.
