hey, I found way to defeat allmost everything without damage (except for boses), only when you finish the game for the first time, you can pull your head off and grab the torrent, and moving arround, shooting and all the stuff, whit your body in a safe area, eaverything gets super easy.
@@omziglioli7285 but that would take forever tho. For me, removing head is useful to do some location survey. Especially in biome like Cavern or Graveyard
The best build for me is an all survival build that focuses on stun paries with the Kings Guard Lance for massive damage and a shield that stuns. Grab every green scroll you can and become a total badass
I adore my melee so I stack on brutality and survival, and some tactics for a heavy turret+ ice grenade. I usually use the ice bow or a shield until I get the ice bow, tends to work pretty well, and with the broadsword if you get the ice bow to pierce you can freeze and entire room and then wreck everything with one slam
thank you for this comment and while i like the cudgel(stun shield) i prefer punishment, which is found past the bell tower door meaning its kinda hard to obtain, but the abillity to return damage as an AOE crit is broken, and giant killer for boss auto crit (reroll your shield until you do quad damage after parry)
The best 0 cell build is two crossbows that deal bonus damage to frozen and pierce, and gold infantry and ice bows as weapons (with pierce as well). Mutations I used were efficiency, support, yolo. I was killing everything super quick, including HoTK. I had 6 scrolls in brutality, 8 in survival, and 16 in tactics. It was glorious.
A HUGE tip for beginners (that kinda contradicts the video). Is don’t worry about what you unlock and don’t unlock. You can always get good items by refilling shops and verity is one of the best things to keep deadcells fun and not repetitive.
Tip number 5 is an absolutely terrible idea. I mean , yes some items are not that effective as others but still , encouraging new players to not use the half of the weapon rooster just because you don't like them is just dumb. Every weapon is unique and requires unique playstyles. Also , spartan sandals are not that bad anyway , kicking grenades back , kicking enemies from ledges are fun.
I like having diversity if nothing else, to keep the play experience fresh, new, and interesting. Unlocking everything and seeing what I get after my next death like a form of self-inflicted dirty Santa over and over again is kinda my cup of tea.
Thanatos , you are realized you are the only one who thinks like that right? Personally i have hundreds of hours of the game since last year and i often talk with veterans and hell they not even thinking like that. Everyone like diversity , and variety. If you are not , that's okay. I must be retarded lol.
Thanatos part of the game is going out of ur comfort zone to come up with a new build lmao, and also a lot of people that play dead cells tend to be the completionist types like myself, so ofc ud want to collect everything, don’t comment about a game u don’t even know about, makes it so the only retired person is *you*
@Thanatos the only really useless ones are the items that can only be used once per biome, and even those can be recycled for extra gold to spend in shops and on gold doors, if you can't find a use for them in combat. So no, not useless . Also, sparta sandals have some damn good stun rate and damage, plus they absolutely WRECK enemies in places with lots of walls and ledges to punt them into/off of. Clock Tower, as a fine example. If I could mod the game so they goofy-yell every time I punt them off a ledge, I'd never use anything else when the Sparta sandals pop up in a run.XD
the problem is what she is true most of weapons can make you survive from non boss type or even an elite type but when come to boss. you CAN"T do a proper damage (damage cap) that lead to a cheap ugly death. it some thing that make this game less fun since 1.0 update.
Get the boss rush mod, learn how to fight the bosses. Especially true for the Hand. Having to run through the whole game between attempts is going to make it take far longer to get used to his tells.
important tip: enemies get stronger when you use scrolls! so if you want to be killing enemies easiest, only take scrolls for a single stat, and none of the others. (this mostly applies to 4 cell runs)
The save your cells part is actually true but if you die then all your cells will be gone so it's best always spend your cells even if you spend it on something useless and the spartan shoe is useful since you can stun even bosses with it like the concierge and it can also be used to push enemies from ledges to make them fall and kill them and the don't buy too much weapon is not true as it's best to always have as much weapons as possible since your starter weapon are useless and some even spawn randomly on the ground or secret locations (hope this helps)
The Spartan Sandals are the best item in the game lol. Now I have only been playing for like 3 days but the one and only time I beat the game was using them as my main weapon. Kicking everything into walls and off of ledges is how I did the entire run. The boss at the bridge I just kicked into the wall and wasn't ever hit. Sandals are OP with the right items. Ice grenades and crusher made it easy to keep enemies where I wanted them.
I love the roguelike/whatever trope of "i need this unlock to finish the game, but it is literally a detriment to unlock" like haunted chests or lil portal in isaac lol
I just crazy running and jumping and throw knifes and drop two turrets everywhere every 6 seconds, it make A LOT of fun for me (on low levels with weak enemies)
I love the Spartian Sandals xD They are the funniest weapon. It feels so good to throw enemies around and watch them explode when they hit a wall. But they are indeed quite bad in boss fights. Sadly...
My favorite playstyle is Crowd Control and Reforges on a melee weapon to synergize with that CC thus getting extra damage (Frozen, Stun and Slow Down is what I recommend getting on your weapons I saw frozen gives you 175% Extra Damage, Stuns give you 75% and Slow downs give you about 30%) Also to note: Slowing has its own mutation
Tip: If you get a legendary spartan sandals, and have backpack, keep it in your backpack. It is wasy to cheese HOTK with it, by constantly baching him into a wall, and because the sandals do massive critical damage when the enemy is flung into a wall, its win win. Until he summons things.
4:48 This isn't wrong as much as it's simply out of date. The first time you beat Stilt Village is now when you unlock the blacksmith's apprentice. Though you still do meet the big blacksmith after each boss fight. As for any tips of my own, unlock your health flasks first. Also, if you find something to examine in the world, always do it. It could very well net you a snack or even a better weapon. Also, they weren't lying. Don't unlock the spartan sandals. They are about as close to objectively the worst item in the entire game. Also, don't confuse bravery and stupidity. Cursed chests are a great way to get extra power scrolls and items, but are also a great way to die early.
What's wrong with Spartan sandals they stun the enemies and you can just beat the shit out of then in the corner. The only problem is that they don't deal much damage but they are still really useful
"Dont unlock spartan sandals" WTF?! spartan sandals are STRONG as hell! You can stunlock concierge and time lord in the corner with it and it takes away enormous chunks of life. Any enemy kicked into a wall takes MASSIVE damage. They are an awesome weapon.
I have never ever found an hourglass door. So I usually take so long to beat levels and never have good loot. I also have a dead cells tip. Try to practice on not taking damage. Doing this will make lifting curses and unlocking flawless doors way easier. You can get good loot by doing this.
The second tip, is it exclusive to PC? I haven't seen a single one of those in any of my runs on the switch version, and IV already beaten the main game at least once
Good question, I fucking love this game by the way. I started playing it on Xbox about a week ago and I've gotten to the clocktower 3 times (I'm a noob right now lol) I've never seen one hourglass door and only a couple of gold doors, I do explore everything though so I'm not sure. It looks like its the Sewer level so maybe it's rare in later levels. 🤔🤗 EDIT: Apparently the hourglass doors were patched out and that's why there is a timed door at the end of every level 🤣

The power of the spartan sandals is not in their basic hits. It’s in their knockback effect. The impact damage from wall, floor, and enemy collision is huge. I never mind using them.
For those of you who aren’t that good, like myself, don’t forget that you can make things easier on yourself by making a custom rules game. You’ll have to find the rune for it, but it’s in an area before the consierge, so you can get it easy enough hopefully

You will find out that money ain't all that useful after you get a good weapon from the pay-to-get doors(only break them if you can clear easily mobs),but some floors have vendors with healing itens or your favorite weapon.
So it helps to clear a floor of enemies to stash some for when it's needed
Curse Chest,as all chests, are all based in RNG so they aren't worth that much. Take them when you're sure you can clear the curse.
You may didnt done that yet,but you can stack curses. Careful
hey, I found way to defeat allmost everything without damage (except for boses), only when you finish the game for the first time, you can pull your head off and grab the torrent, and moving arround, shooting and all the stuff, whit your body in a safe area, eaverything gets super easy.
@@omziglioli7285 but that would take forever tho. For me, removing head is useful to do some location survey. Especially in biome like Cavern or Graveyard
Don't try to destroy those 2 or more doors that you need to pay, otherwise, you'll be curse, and you need to kill 40+ enemies
Damm this video sucks then lol
iNREEk why?
0 cells or 10 cells and a curse - I take the curse ;)
The best build for me is an all survival build that focuses on stun paries with the Kings Guard Lance for massive damage and a shield that stuns. Grab every green scroll you can and become a total badass
I adore my melee so I stack on brutality and survival, and some tactics for a heavy turret+ ice grenade. I usually use the ice bow or a shield until I get the ice bow, tends to work pretty well, and with the broadsword if you get the ice bow to pierce you can freeze and entire room and then wreck everything with one slam
I'll try this!
thank you for this comment and while i like the cudgel(stun shield) i prefer punishment, which is found past the bell tower door meaning its kinda hard to obtain, but the abillity to return damage as an AOE crit is broken, and giant killer for boss auto crit (reroll your shield until you do quad damage after parry)
Spartan sandles and ice blast is actually a really good combo, it's good for spacing the enemies
HOTK would like to know your location
Get the boss rush mod, learn how to fight the bosses. Especially true for the Hand. Having to run through the whole game between attempts is going to make it take far longer to get used to his tells.
Just for training you can do 0 cells and go for max health... Should be working
important tip: enemies get stronger when you use scrolls! so if you want to be killing enemies easiest, only take scrolls for a single stat, and none of the others. (this mostly applies to 4 cell runs)
These are the tips you learn in first 30 min in the game
Sandals are one of my favorit weapons so far... if you use them right with a good setup you should be fine with them!
Tip is go fast until the bonus doors at the end don't count for time anymore it happens after a few levels in
Those spartan sandals actually kick ass.
Crazy seeing the time door is an hourglass and not just a door. They really polished the game.
This game is a blast! Currently on a level that’s impossible to get through haha literally. All walls are blocked in
I got the spartan sandals with the shoot arrows forward thing and it was actually pretty dang op
“And whatever you do don’t buy the spartan sandals”
Me:why I love them
The save your cells part is actually true but if you die then all your cells will be gone so it's best always spend your cells even if you spend it on something useless and the spartan shoe is useful since you can stun even bosses with it like the concierge and it can also be used to push enemies from ledges to make them fall and kill them and the don't buy too much weapon is not true as it's best to always have as much weapons as possible since your starter weapon are useless and some even spawn randomly on the ground or secret locations (hope this helps)
spartan sandals are great if you use them right. it’s too easy to run around and spartan kick enemies off a ledge/ into a wall
Hey! The sparta kick is actually good you can stun luck the first boss in the game! And if you want you can bribg it till the second boss.
those legendary twin daggers are OP af @5:11
I picked up this game at launch. And haven't played it since. Will have to go back to it now.
I think the spartan sandals are good if your in the fractured shrines because you can kick your enemies into the abyss below you.
Except with the new update the hour glasses no longer exist and are instead replaced by doors within the passages of areas
I have gone through a 3 boss cell run with the Spartan sandals you just need to hit them in to walls or off ledges.
2:20 If somebody doesn't know, there's achievement for that ;)
yeah i know 😪
Wow.
I did it "by accident"
I love the roguelike/whatever trope of "i need this unlock to finish the game, but it is literally a detriment to unlock" like haunted chests or lil portal in isaac lol
I just crazy running and jumping and throw knifes and drop two turrets everywhere every 6 seconds, it make A LOT of fun for me (on low levels with weak enemies)
I love the Spartian Sandals xD They are the funniest weapon. It feels so good to throw enemies around and watch them explode when they hit a wall. But they are indeed quite bad in boss fights. Sadly...
seizan88 nah just pin the boss in a corner and keep kicking them while you have projectile supports dealing damage as you stun them
My favorite playstyle is Crowd Control and Reforges on a melee weapon to synergize with that CC thus getting extra damage
(Frozen, Stun and Slow Down is what I recommend getting on your weapons I saw frozen gives you 175% Extra Damage, Stuns give you 75% and Slow downs give you about 30%)
Also to note: Slowing has its own mutation
Tip: If you get a legendary spartan sandals, and have backpack, keep it in your backpack. It is wasy to cheese HOTK with it, by constantly baching him into a wall, and because the sandals do massive critical damage when the enemy is flung into a wall, its win win. Until he summons things.
I've been looking for a more chill metroidvania game without all the puzzles and I think I might get this
4:48 This isn't wrong as much as it's simply out of date.
I play the game on android so does it have the same content at pc?
This is a fun game
If your stuck in this game just start over! Really it works! Thanks Rich
I have never ever found an hourglass door. So I usually take so long to beat levels and never have good loot. I also have a dead cells tip. Try to practice on not taking damage. Doing this will make lifting curses and unlocking flawless doors way easier. You can get good loot by doing this.
It’s from an older update
What do you mean the spartan sandals are pretty good.
There is no purer joy in the history of gaming than booting enemies off the ramparts with the Spartan sandals👌👌👌
Cheers guys. Just got the game and I’m loving it.
Me too. Totally addictive haha
Haha def addictive. How many times have you died? I think I’m on my 5th or 6th death.
@@StankPlanks 10th death and got to the king's hand.. had to set the switch down after that haha
Haha I hav!’t got to that yet!
The spartan sandals are good if you use them right the special abilities for the weapons are what counts
@@Ganon999 ah, no wonder, all I ever found were the gold doors
"and whatever you do, dont unlock the spartan sandals"
i love that weapon
2:01 first timers: "honey, I'm home!"
When you've been spending the past however many runs farming a particular blue print but it just WONT DROP: "B*TCH IM HERE, wait you're useless, bye!"
The power of the spartan sandals is not in their basic hits. It’s in their knockback effect. The impact damage from wall, floor, and enemy collision is huge. I never mind using them.
What happens when there are no walls?
Water is wet tips.
Bears shit in the woods tips
Ty
Water isn't wet moron.
Mo Peterson woooooosh
@@mopeterson6990 yeah, water isn't wet. It's gas.
Players: *frost shield* this is brilliant
Players: but I like this _frost blast_
Some thing I learned is bombs can be deflected if you use the spartan sandals, so frying pan and a pair of shoes are the two best things for me
what is your roll button? mine was pressing the stick but that somehow shoots my weapon
For those of you who aren’t that good, like myself, don’t forget that you can make things easier on yourself by making a custom rules game. You’ll have to find the rune for it, but it’s in an area before the consierge, so you can get it easy enough hopefully
Playing this game on my iPad Pro with an 8BitDo controller and I absolutely love this game!!!
This guide lost all credibility when they said sandals aren't good
:|
You should stack only one type of the scroll and get you items to scale with them.
Spartan sandals is a god tier weapon you can basically instakill anything if you make them lose the high ground basically used them if you're Obi-Wan
2:48
i dont care what you say, the spartan sandals are some of the best weapons
Hey my first game finish was with the sandle from the start I like them
How do u open the doors with the circle and dot in the middle can't find any video on it
Here's a tip if you got the whip or the sword that makes you go flying if you got 1 of them here's a tip for whip its poisonous the first attack will whip them to you sword tip:attack them by flying and flying around them for no dmg if your getting hit just roll not working use your shield
The spartan sandals is the best dude
Spartan sandals are good if you know how to use them. They're one of my favorite weapons to pair with the heavy crossbow.
Just to be clear . They updated the timed door from sand clocks to actual doors right ? Just asking to make sure my version ain’t broken or messed with or something ( if you hadn’t guessed it’s pirated version )
Spartan Sandals are so fun what are talking about lol
Electric whip to Stun plus spartan kicking someone into oblivion is by far my favorite combination of 2 items so far
Watchu mean i love spartan sandals u can this is sparta on them all down from a tall place or into the walls, but it doesnt stop there if an ememy throw bomb you can kick it back.
Okay, how about this! Have one savefile where you unlock all blueprints and other ones specializing only in ones you like?
"Don't unlock the Spartan Sandals," she says.
Lmfao!!! Git Gud
You actually might want to just level up your guy by fighting elites over finding scrolls. The devs revealed some kind of "scaled leveling" or something where enemies basically level up with you every time you use one....clever really.
Love this game! Glad there's a sizable following. Any other roguelite suggestions?
Hey 💕 thank you! This is actually clear and helpful! 0% clickbate and I’m grateful!!
I got the game last weekend and just beat the timekeeper today
The spartan sandals my favorite weapon in the game
how to save game and contniue my progress ?
