I haven’t seen those Winsor and Newton fineliners before. Must seek them out and give them a try on my line and washes. Thanks Harriet.
Thanks Diane, yeah they’re great!
Wonderful ideas to salvage watercolour painting . Such a valuable tutorial that helps heaps.😊
Thank you so much 😀
I love the combination of line and wash!
Thanks Laura!
I usually start with a sketch/doodle and then add the paint. But that actually looks amazing so I will try it out.
Yes me too normally but this is a good one if you happen to have practise pages spare
This is a great idea, thanks for sharing ☺
You are so welcome!
Doodling is such fun! If you tell yourself it's only a doodle, you relax and how creative you become! Thanks for sharing this Harriet. I haven't doodled in a while and am now grabbing my water colours and pens!

You are so welcome!
I’d love to learn how to ‘scribble’ with a pen to make quick trees/bushes/foliage but make it believable.
I don’t know but I wonder if you have to be left handed. I agree I don’t “scribble” all that well either!
It's a lot to do with confidence that the scribble looks nice!
i love doing line wash, i just never thought it was ok to do with watercolour, I will be line washing from now on.
You can do it!
This was great ..can you do more please .
Sure!
Thank you!! I love the pen and wash! Do you have more tutorials on how to draw/shade like this with a pen??
There is a ‘how to draw flowers’ playlist on my channel
@@deWintonPaperCo thank you!! Love your work!
This is so lovely! Please could you share a link to the pens you are using? 🩷🌸
Her eyou go www.winsornewton.com/row/graphic-art/fineliners/
@@deWintonPaperCo thank you! 😊
Thank you so much for this video! I look forward to and enjoy watching and listening to all your tutorials and videos! 😊Love the combo of ink and watercolor!! The pens you used, are they permanent or would they run if more layers of watercolor were to be added?
They are water resistant so you could paint over them too if you wanted
Thank you so much! Love your work!!
am laughing because I do this frequently...but maybe I do it because I simply love adding ink and my problem is that I paint too tightly, so to me my art looks unfinished without the ink or lines...need to decide if that's a strength to continue on doing or if it's a weakness to overcome...oh, well...are we artists never quite pleased with our 'finished' works⁉️
Even my comments seem never complete...wanted to drop back in and ask if you could do a series of intuitive florals with ink (or pencil or colored lines) as finishing method? I hope you will consider doing that❗️Also we TY and say GBY for your generosity in sharing your skills and tutorials with us here on YT. 🥰
Thank you so much! You should join our patron. There it is something we could consider doing. www.patreon.com/dewintonpaperco 😊

Hello! What fine liner pens do you use? I couldn’t quite make it out.
